Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Treasure Digger
I wonder how the Winter Carnival directors are doing. No snow, can't do snow sculptures. And don't even mention the ice sculptures. They'll melt before they even finish. Mother Nature has just got to cooperate.
Thanks, Ares!! No nothing for fun. I can't mention this enough. I'm going through depression without the ususal events. I have to freeze while digging, I usually get a bad cold after the hunt, house is a wreck because I'm too tire to clean, and neighbors think that I'm on vacation.
THX - That is pretty interesting about the county going after you for not paying your bills, I would suggest that you pay them, and they must be some big bills because I have never had the county after me.
You know, I've actually have done NOTHING today at work. My boss will come in on Monday and ask me what I did on Friday. I'll have nothing to back up my excuse.
Today is January 11th. Most of the Winter Carnival events don't start until the 25th which is two weeks away. I wouldn't worry too much about the current warm spell lasting all through January. The cold and snow is coming and will be here soon enough.
Looked in the Hall of Fame. No pictures of the medallion that I want. I'm looking for a close-up picture of the medallion. Not a far off distance one with someone holding it. Any where else I could look?
As far as I know, there aren't any. The PP goes out of their way to make sure of that. Rumor is the film crew may have caught one, but that's not being released to the public either if they did. I think the PP wants to make it harder to duplicate the thing, which of course it would be if no one knew exactly what it looked like.
Allison, now I can understand that logic. However, I hear from people all the time "what does it look like?" It would be nice to print a picture of it to show to people. Trying to describe it is difficult because I'm not quite sure besides it is clear plexi-glass with a blue image inside.
SD - you have worked probably as hard as I have which is not much. I guess we both will have to shuffle things around on our desk to look like we were busy.
lol i was just looking at the dilbert calendar on my desk. and realised i left it on yesterday's date.
wally: in this week's "wally report", i've decided to let my hair grow long in the back. eventually i'll put it in a ponytail to show i have an artistic side.

Over 3,700 posts on this here medallion thread and almost 14 of them have been about the actual medallion hunt.
Pretty good start don't ya think?
no sculptures, no slide, no nothing. and yes td, we did miss you. as was evidenced by the oh so entertaining messages posted. lol.
that's cuz we don't yet actually have a medallion, thx!
Ian, do you know how I can see a picture of the actual medallion? I've e-mail PP and have had no response.

I was kind of wondering about that whole county thing...It didn't sound very legit.
Thanks, Ares. I look there.

Hey TD, Do you think that you are going to work at all today...What is your excuse going to be?
Hey, Allison. Thanks for the update of your website and the hunt.
If I tell you, SD, then you'll use it.
Allison, do you know where I can find a nice, close-up picture of the medallion?
TD - Why would you think that I would NEED to use your excuse?

Hey thanks for that tip Ares... I did not know about the f5 shortcut. Now I dont have to concentrate as much.
Waiting, waiting, waiting. Oh, come on guys, I'm having to work now because no one is talking.

Thanks Ares, I just doubled my production.
/me just had to work cuz someone stepped in my office. bad co-workers. bad. bad.

when's the press gonna get dilbert in the express section. that's the only thing the strib's got over the press.
This is the year of the cooler. I can tell because I called a T.V. pyschic. At 7.99 per minute, the 35 minute call was well worth it!
thank you. thank you very much! credit for funniness goes to scott adams.
