This site has a search engine that allows you to search all the Ramsey County parks (especially useful if it does happen to be out of the city). For example, if the clues suggest the park has sledding, you can do a search on "sliding hill" (there are aids to tell you what to search for exactly) and it will tell you all the parks that have sledding. Or you can look for all the parks with a lake, with picnic areas, etc.
The legendary anagram site. May not work if the cluewriter's trying to give you a proper noun like "estabrook" from "books rate" but still fun to play with.
What's a rapscallion? What's an iconoclast? Well you can go to this site and find out the definition of most any word. you can also find synonyms, antonyms, homophones ("mettle" and "metal") and rhymes, as well as other things. Again, a kind of fun site, even if you aren't hunting. Definitely a useful site if you're writing clues ;)
