Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
This site has a search engine that allows you to search all the Ramsey County parks (especially useful if it does happen to be out of the city). For example, if the clues suggest the park has sledding, you can do a search on "sliding hill" (there are aids to tell you what to search for exactly) and it will tell you all the parks that have sledding. Or you can look for all the parks with a lake, with picnic areas, etc.
The legendary anagram site. May not work if the cluewriter's trying to give you a proper noun like "estabrook" from "books rate" but still fun to play with.
What's a rapscallion? What's an iconoclast? Well you can go to this site and find out the definition of most any word. you can also find synonyms, antonyms, homophones ("mettle" and "metal") and rhymes, as well as other things. Again, a kind of fun site, even if you aren't hunting. Definitely a useful site if you're writing clues ;)
This is the St. Paul site that is the guide to the city parks. Not very thorough, but kind of useful for some questions and it does have maps to some of the parks for anyone out there who hasn't invested in a Treasure Hunter's Guide.
I could have *sworn* I heard Belinda Jensen mutter something this AM, when showing a pic of open water on Lake Calhoun, about not being good for safety for The Hunt.
And she was *not* eatng a navel orange at the time...
and you're catching on to the idea of the joe. legend has it that once upon a time there was a critter in here who went by the name joe medallion. he'd start working up a few posts ahead of a post that would end in a 0, or 00, or 000, etc. methinks he got booted, but the tradition kinda lives on in us.
