It's the genric genre for all the bands that have taken the place of the grateful dead since their demise. Phish(though also officially over), Phil & Friends, Widespread Panic, Ratdog, String Cheese Incident, ect.
They are so named for their common habit of "jamming" one song into long lengths
Never been to harmony park, but I've heard great things about it. I'd go if it worked into my schedule, but summers get pretty hectic.
I'm going to see Yonder Mountain String Band at the Fitzgerald on 3/14. Should be a good show, though pretty bluegrass-heavy. I like that stuff. I think there's still tickets available.
Frosti, I thought of you this weekend when I saw a Greatful Dead 2002 calendar for $1.
I was surprised to hear, when she was introduced to warble the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, that Mariah Carey is the top-selling female recording artist of all time.
She's got a good voice, albeit a bit shrill for my taste.
And I'd truly like to to take a hot bath with her.
But, it's a bit unsettling to think she's the most successful girl singer ever.
Also, I just found out that Victor Wooten is playing at First Avenue tonight. Vic is a member of Bela's band The Flecktones. Probability that Bela will sit in with Vic or vice versa is very high.
Post #1 baby! Any jamband fans in the cooler?
Okay.....thats it I'm old! What the hell is a "jamband"?

Yes, it is. Especially when there's so many good ones out there. Aretha Franklin comes to mind. Billie Holiday.
Boy George is a better female singer than Mariah!
Lovin' would be easy if your colors were like my dream, red gold and green, red gold and gree-ee-een!
What the heck does that really mean? ::scratchin head::
I don't know but, he sings it better than Mariah Carey ever could.

If you were stranded on a desert island with the ability to listen to one and only one album(disc) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
