hmm a logo contest eh?

Someone might want to lay out the guidelines that need to be in the logo (i.e. spelling, Cooler Crew or just CC?, does "You Dig" need to be on it, sizing, since it's a crest, more square or keep with rectangular?) in order for it to qualify.

Ohhhhhh.. how about a Treasure Chest full of gold Medallions..... for the kids of course.

I'm still trying to figure out the connection between pirates and winter in Minnesota.  Other than the treasure of course.   Gangsters would make more sense.  At least they were here.  But once again, that's just me.

amen bro - i agree - everyone can do their own thing provided they have LOGO or crest emblazened on whatever they so choose-

MMM - i am not opposed to this having its own thread but it should be an invitaional one as not to tip off the meds' as what we are up to ! I am sure all would agree with that!

The slogan is You Dig?

Reality check...One issue with the newest logo that ESD made up.  It's cute as long as it's on a colored background.  Once it's on a white one, however, it looks half done.

Because the logo is used when making buttons, and sometimes that background is white, that snow should be outlined just enough to make it show...shadowed or something.

That should also be kept in mind with any other logos that folks will be creating.  It needs to look complete no matter the background.

Exactly.  The logo has to work no matter what it gets put on...and no matter the color.

Hi Outta!  We didn't get a chance to say more than howdy at the rehash.  We'll have to catch up sometime soon.

Last year I did a series of caches in the month of January, leading up to, and into the hunt. They were called Boreas Rex I, Boreas Rex II, Boreas Rex III, etc.

Midway through the series, I changed the names to Boreas Rex I (J. P. Elmer), Boreas Rex II (J. P. Ridler), Boreas Rex III (Frank Madden), etc.

When I got to Boreas Rex XIII, there wasn't one. So I wrote to the Winter Carnival volunteers, and got a reply very similar to me2's answer, with this added:

It can't hurt for King Boreas to be a step ahead of Vulcanus, right?

I named that cache Boreas Rex XIII (Impostor)
