I do wanna check out that Bulldog place. Lots of taps to try. I'd actually like to make some rounds dt and try a bunch of different places during the hunt. Spread the wealth so to speak.

Then we can rate them for that matter.

Just had a rather lengthy conversation with the manager of Obbs. He remembers me and knows our situation and definitely wants our business and is willing to work with us on making it happen. Here's what I have so far:

He will staff a bartender for as long as we need one downstairs. He said we can have the upstairs later on when it clears out a bit. We can still hang out downstairs if we wanted though. He will stay open until 1am and keep his kitchen open until 12am but is going to talk with his licensing contact to see if he can make an exception on the kitchen once I brought up the Mickeys after party situation. He wants to keep us there. He'll reduce his drink prices on beer and rail drinks to a standard $2.75 and will give us -25% employee (and police) discount on all food purchases!

I said I'd call him back within the hour and let him know. Please chime in if this is a go and I'll get moving on it. We need to set the wheels in motion to get the word out.

incidentally he didn't seem too bummed out that Matty B's closed their doors

Obbs is awesome.

I think at some later point in the night I'll try to get downtown though. Because the bars stay open until 2 and then we can walk to Mickeys.

When I lived in Milwaukee, bars used to be open until 3:30 on Saturday nights (no longer).

I'm surprised the manager admitted to that. Gratuities are at the very least frowned upon if not totally disallowed. I seem to remember reading in the paper that they were no longer allowed. Not that it might not happen under the table still, but I'm surprised he was open about that.

I used to do the books for a service station where the SSP police chief came in every morning to chat and have his morning cup of coffee and a smoke. There came a time when he couldn't do it anymore. SSP has stopped that. Even though I made the coffee and we were friends. I charged him a nickle.

Regular price is anywhere from $3.50 to $4.50. He originaly said $3 but I said that Matty would do buy 1 get ones for us. I didn't tell him that one cost $7

cm just called me. He is going in to a meeting or something and wanted me to let you all know that he reserved the lower lever of OBBS. There were some cool sounding details but he was cutting out...something about getting the drink discount downstairs only and have to have a CoolerCrew button. He will post the details later. but at least Ares can get it posted on Coolercrew.com and we all know. OBBS 7 pm to 1 am.

I had asked Brad to call Obbs this morning... I was up all night with a sick little girl and need to sleep this morning...

Wild Tymes seems open to possible working out some discounts regarding our nightly hang out if everyone is open to that.... My focus was to find a place that would be open on Sunday night in downtown.
