Beige is one of my least liked colors - and to have it striped is just that much ickier.

Just a thought to keep individual names of hosts off house cleaning type things like that.

I made a user name - CoolerCrewmoderator. If needbe I will foot the yearly fee for this user name. Any hosts here are welcome to sign in under this name and fix things that need fixing. I think we should make sure we post what we do here when we do it so all the hosts are aware.

If anyone thinks it's a bad idea fell free to say so.

I agree Kitch, which is why I deleted the post the second time he reposted it. We don't have time to be messing with nonsense like that.

People here don't come here for it and as you said it's really not the place.

I think as far as questionable posts, what we can do is this. A moderator sees something questionable. If there's not a number of other moderators on, s/he can take it down for the time being. Before doing so, they copy what was posted and save it for future use. Post a copy of it here in the moderating thread. Give us a day or so to discuss it. If we feel it's okay, we can repost it. If not, we leave it down.

Sounds good to me.... at least for that bit of time the post will be out of sight out of mind.

I, too, think that's a good way to handle questionable content.

The other way would be to edit the post to jibberish or a totally changed message. :sillygrin:

We could just change the post to "Questionable content being reviewed by the CC moderators, please be patient". If we don't allow it, we can say "This post deleted due to questionable content." If we allow it, post a note at the end saying "Reviewed and okayed by the moderators". If we take out part, we can say "Some questionable material removed by the moderators". Or is that too much?

Yes, I agree.. with the multiple mods we are covered most of the time.

Like I said... that user name of Coolercrewmoderator is open for anyone of us who need or want to post something that we want to be taken as direction from the moderator and not from ourselves as an individual.

I think that will allow us to speak freely about things going on without being stuck in the Stern Controller mode all the time and have people hearing what we say in that mode..
