And I patched that list up... Hard to get the list ever so right... everyone in the crew is always giving something.... no real way to give all the credit deserved .

But for what it's worth I thank all of you for making sure we are having as smooth a transistion as possible.

looks like ian deleted his folder over at pf. the link was pointing to the coolerhead threads folder causing problems with the archiving process i'm doing (building up an infinite tree with links to itself). so i deleted the link.

Anyone figure out how to prevent people other than the "Hosts" from creating folders and discussions?

nope. they haven't done it yet either, despite having a thread to request adding a discussion, over in the "new forum discussions" folder.

Hopefully they can get to that soon. Not because I'm worried about people getting out of hand with folders etc but the fallout when said folders and discussions get deleted.

exactly. then again, who all created folders and threads back at pf? we had threads for hunts, but most of the threads that jt didn't create were the ones over in wampeters and in the news.

I'm guessing 99% of the folders over at PF were created by me.

I was just now playing around a little with the test folder, and man are things different here. Doesn't look to hard to figure out, just need to take the time.

just an fyi, i'm at a point where the fetch script is running continuouslt at pf. if it finishes or fails, its in a permanent loop to start over again. all threads with less than 1000 posts i'm fetching from scratch; those with more, i'm fetching from where i left off. it keeps the directory structure cleaner for me.

i'm also making some headway towards a php/sql based coolercrew.com, so within a few months, i should have most, if not all of the archive online.

say, jt, whatcha gonna do with the boards over at pf? do we keep it around as a backup if this site goes down? make it read-only, etc?
