I'll probably go home and have a fire afterwards since I put in soo much time cutting and chopping and such and never got to use it over the weekend. Cheaper and safer too.
I checked out the new 'inovative' discs and they didn't seem to have much of a reception with the pros. Or babes for that matter. I passed on them but bought the last disc light they had instead.
But left it in the parking lot 30 seconds later. :frown:
I asked kitch yesterday to let me know when he could go nextweek cause I keep trying to get him out with me. He said he could probly do Hyland Hills next week and I said fine- whenever he could.
I gotta get out to a field somewhere and just learn how to throw without fear of losing discs or slowing up the group. I think it would be best if a good friend and experienced dg player was with me. Preferably with a name that starts with the letter B. If that were to happen we could discuss the results of that training session at a future Wild hockey game, perhaps on Oct 16...
Sunday at North Valley might be an option. I gotta see how things go Saturday since I'm needed to help pour a concrete patio for the bro-in-law. If it rains we need to reschedule for Sunday. North Valley has those nice big ball fields where people practice their drives all the time. Then hit the course to see how they do. I'll keep in touch
Nice disc Kitch - I just wish there wasn't the damn $5 shipping fee. That makes it a bit much then.
Cool cool, I don't know if I can do it Sunday either but I'll try my best. I just want to get to the point where I am good enough to not slow things down, and can enjoy playing more... that way the more I play the better I get. right now it seems I am going backwards because I get so frusterated :frown:
Do you guys know where I can get some cheap frisbees? I mean the regular ones. There for my dog, she loves to chase and catch them but tends to destroy them in the process. I bought a cheap one at petco but it didn't fly for sh&t.
Yeah but the heavier discs might hurt her teeth. She actually catches them mid-air and does all the acrobats and flips in order to catch them. It's so cool. The best frisbee I've had so far was one I got for free.
FUN! wish I woulda known that, I woulda prefered to go watch the water than search for my keys that I finally found on hole 1 at kaposia thisafternoon.
I threw the first 4 holes for 1/2 an hour -trying out a teebird :frown:
:frown:
but I'd go to a bar with ya then
:frown:
we need to get out there sometime next week...
OMG!
Innova Beast
Innova Eagle
Innova Wolf
Innova Leopard
all used...just bought them on ebay..I don't know size or conditions...but $20 for the lot is o.k. by me...
This isn't too far away:
Bayfield is awesome!
whichaaaa!
But left it in the parking lot 30 seconds later. :frown:
I'm thinking some time during next m-thur?? daytime?
and I thought it was 46 on holes 1 - 11, 16 & 18
havnt looked to see how bad that really is yet
thanks for the tip on the lights kitch

I don't like North Valley - but practicing on the field at North or South is nice
I have an email in to that guy for a vikes, wild and m&m disc and another one too
I just played 9 at kaposia and lost my champion eagle in the salad bar on 8.
heck...I'm sure its in the open field somewhere...
not sure if its in the middle of the fairway or down in the salad bar....
I think it grew legs and ran and ran and ran...could have ran for 700 for all know...heck...maybe down butler.
 :eyeroll:
I bought a Innova Pro Wraith 171g. today
I'm thinking I'll never get it "tamed"...might only be able to use it once or 2x's a round.
oh and if I didnt mention it before, I have that Velocity Ching - I don't care for it but maybe just needs some practice
HAHA! I here dat!
I got a lesson today...
My wraith has
WR written on it....stands for WRAITH before the HOTSTAMP is put on this disc.
Its how the sort the disc's before HotStamping them.
So...that explains all the letters on my other Innova disc's...
such as SW -sidewinder, E - Eagle, etc...
http://www.perfectpuppytoys.com/supflyerdogd.html
I honestly think the HEAVIER Disc golf disc's fly better then normal ones and a dog wouldn't chew them up as fast either...
here is part of an update I got...
The other exciting news that will provide additional financial support for
the Highbridge facility is the Kids Camp starting next June. More details will
follow within the next month. The camp will include disc golf, ultimate,
freestyle, ball golf, horseback riding, stargazing, orienteering, remote control
vehicles, tree & bird identification and swimming. It will be about $700 per week
per child ranging in age from 7-16 and run every Sunday thru Saturday except
for Mid-Nationals week. The kids will be lodging at Northland College in
Ashland so the campground will still be available for disc golfers and other
travelers.
plus they will have some courses opened this winter 2.

If anyone wants to see a North Valley unlike any they've seen before, go
check it out before the water goes down.
The water is nearly up to the chain support on hole 17, and stretches from
hole 1 across to 16.
I threw the first 4 holes for 1/2 an hour -trying out a teebird :frown:
wow lot easier after you played it once...
was kinda racing the timeclock for lunch...PERFECT TIMING...
1hr lunch...there and back in 58 mins.
