ohmygoodness...

this house is very close to Highland Park - crazy! the listed most expensive right now:

http://www.cbburnet.com/CustomModules/Property/PropertyDetail.aspx?SearchID=7511376&PropertyGUID=A42B39C0-1457-4442-9707-0C19C252E603&TotalRows=250&CurrentPage=1&SortValue=0&LastResultsPage=1&IsSold=False

The listed cheapest house right now: what you get for 10 grand! I would think the property was worth that but probably not in a good area.

The picture with the Key windows was my sisters bedroom. This is the 2nd most expensive house on the market in the city of St. Paul right now. WOW!

We have land and a cabin off of 27 and 65 its actually in Haybrook Township. It was cold, windy and RAINY but we stuck it out for the kids they were lvoing the candy. They just don't throw candy like that in the cities! My mom also lives up there near what use to be Smokin' Hill what is it now Jacks on Mille Lac's or something? That place has changed names a couple times I always forget I'll always think of it as Smokin' Hill.

We threw frisbees, can coolers and candy.

Some of us squirted water guns - but it was too cold to get anyone wet. I was freezing!

Yup, the Smokin' Hill is just past Portside on hwy 47 - we are just past that at Point walk...or the new Appledorns/old Karpens.

    Mad Dog's New Home (Maybe)

I saw this house a few years ago when we tried to sell our town home - went to an open house when it was selling for $279,000. It's back yard has a koi pond, a putting green, a concrete basketball court and a garden. The square footage looks tiny; but if its the same house I recall, it has two sub-levels that are unfinished. It's now selling for $209K and keeps dropping - in a couple weeks we can probably swap our townhome mortgage for this place.

    thats an awesome pad...

    fenced yard, too...

Thats something I always look at, having 2 dogs here...

If we do eventually move elsewhere.... I dont want putting up a fence, to have to be the first thing we have to do...

My Mom is a Scott County nurse. She makes service calls to visit elderly folks on fixed incomes living by themselves in HUGE houses. Gramma holds down the house for the kids, who basically own the thing as an investment. Gramma lives there for a few waning years, and then the kids sell it at a huge profit when they dump gramma into a nursing home.

My mom drives by places like THIS all the time. (Ok not in Dakota county, but you get the idea)

If you host a kegger in a house THAT big - after about 11:00 you'll find out ten bathrooms ain't nearly enough!

On the flip side, the groundskeepers (I believe their names are Hose A and Hose B ) won't need to water the landscaping for a couple of days.

Has anyone used a grief support counselor (group or individual) in the twin cities and could recommend a particular place and/or counselor?

A friend whose husband died, is looking for counseling help, but reluctant to go counselor shopping due to the energy required to cold call.

Please PM or post - names would be great, but also what you like about the place or person.

    Thank you!!

Probably going to see it in Woodbury tomorrow afternoon - probably crowded as hell tonight on a hot evening.

Woodbury 10 is still one of the cheapest 1st run theaters in town. $4 for a matinee, $1.50 for small popcorn, $1.50 for a small soda. Anyone got a deal that can beat that?

Red - how many coolers an we hide in back of the PT for the Drive-In? I got a large blue tarp we can cover everyone up with.

Went to The Dark Knight afternoon Matinee on Saturday. Kinda surprised how crowded it was. Ledger's joker is a true psychopath - my wife hid her eyes about 1/3 of the movie. This Batman is dark - definitely not a pre-teen crowd.

Pretty good flick, though - stayed in my seat for the whole 2-3/4 hours. I think a lot of people sat through the whole thing because the lines at the bathroom afterward were as long as the ticket lines getting in!
