Cute dog Kitch, I'm sure she'll be absolutly fine for your family. Maybe she was just "marking" her new turf, it's a great breed.
Anybody get to record the Olympic opening ceremonies Friday night? I have heard they were spectacular. I hope, at the least someone got a copy for Cluey!

My sister taped the opening ceremonies. If another copy doesn't surface, I can try to get hers for Clue Master.
Kitch, I agree with what Terry said - maybe she doesnt know how to tell you when she wants/needs to go out yet...
one thing Ive seen at a few peoples houses, is to attatch a small bell or something to the door knob... show the dog, that when they bump it, and it makes noise, thats their sign that they need to go out....
Hey guys I know a bunch of you live in the South Metro I'm searching for a new primary physician because I'm fed up with my current clinic anyone give me some good recommendations? I am looking for a clinic that can get me in to see someone in less than 3 days when I call to make a sick visit. I do not want to have to see an on call doctor at urgent care every time I'm hurt or sick.
he had set his dvr for it last month but with being in the hospital for almost 2 weeks he thinks it may not have recorded it because of his dvr hitting 100% because of not being able to delete stuff that he had previously set to record.
She rings a bell when she has to go potty. Took her 2 days to fully have it figured out. She was around 4 - 5 months old then. My Lab/Husky (7 years old) took less than a day to figure it out.
Labs are very smart and loyal. It shouldn't take long to figure out that your house is her house, and dogs don't like to have pee/poop in their house. Around 2 years old she is just leaving the puppy stage, so she may need to be given a little break there.
Never having met the dog, I would say good choice in breeds.
We used the bell method, too. Works pretty well. We had a large 'Jingle' Bell on a ribbon that was my Mom's idea of a Christmas Ornament. The only place big enough to hang it was the doorknob. The dog quickly learned that someone gets to go outside when they hear the bell. Hasn't left the doorknob since - makes a good burglar alert too.
Just checking in quick. Seems like the summer is flying by. My next 24 hour treasure hunt is going to be just 4 weeks from this Saturday. I know it's harder to get organized in the summer (I myself can never seem to make any mock hunts), but I was wondering if the defending champs or any other teams were planning on returning? The Cookie Bakers and the Singles Club are already looking to improve their standing. We're hoping to recruit some college teams this time around. My goal is try and get at least 10 teams so that there will be a good degree of competition. So try to let me know soon if there will be a team. Who exactly is on the team can come later.
I was hoping to mix up our teams a bit because of the college competition - ... but I don't think any of us have talked much about it. CM wants to participate, but on the homefront end of things.
I like the team I was on too, I'm just thinking about the big picture of more teams. I know we all try our hardest and best, we now have a broader competition base where I think we need to step it up.
When do you suppose you will start the hunt? Would it be at night or during the day. I am going to the Vikings home opener vs. the Colts on the morning of the 14th.
The hunt starts Saturday morning. We'll serve a breakfast from 10-11am and then the hunt starts at 11. Hopefully you'll be done long before 11am Sunday. 24 hours is the maximum time, not the expected time.
I LIKE that idea. Maybe it's a riddle for "Frame" - Half of a bowling frame
Off the subject:
My wife has a cousin getting married in Phoenix in October.
Does $1200 sound about right for 2 people - Airfare, Car Rental and Four nights in a Hotel? We've got AAA, but the Airfare cost is a wash between booking Sun Country directly and going thru AAA and flying on who-knows-what airline.
ALL the relatives are staying in a Pricey Hotel, and the closest budget hotel is about a mile away. The cheaper hotel would only save us less than $200
And I guess I was half asleep this morning well going throw the tests!! lol not GOOD!! at all in my book sorry for not being as good as I thought I was!!! I will practice and get up to snuff and go back and test in a few days!! I should be able to bring it up to par by then!!
I guess this wedding is also a last 'hurrah' for my wife's aunt who has -- you guessed it -- cancer. We haven't seen some of the Phoenix relatives since they DROVE to MN for a family reunion about six years ago. We've been guilted into believing we 'owe' them one.
I found out I can rent a Toyota Prius hybrid for cheap in Phoenix. Makes sense for urban city driving. My wife suggested we take a day to drive to the Grand Canyon - any of you that has taken that six hour, mostly uphill drive will know you probably can't even make the climb with a Prius.
The Prius is a different car. I like it, thought about buying one when I was selling them. An unforgettable experience while cruising at a steady speed, and the engine races. Or while going downhill, and the engine shuts off.
I am sure it could make the climb uphill though. If not then you get a special one-on-one time with the wifey, and they come pick you up
I caved and went with the less-then-environmental Mazda 626 - I've driven that model before.
The Prius hybrid in Phoenix was not a guarantee - apparently they are a 'standby only' vehicle, which means they only have a few and they aren't always available.
the 626 is a nice ride.... my mom had one of those for a long time...
I drove that car, for much of last year, also....
I probably would have ended up with that one, had I not gotten the Saab, that i have....
She ended up giving it to one of my step brothers, who took a highschool teaching job, out in Baltimore.... a week after he was there, he got in a car accident, and totalled it..... :eyeroll: :coolfrown:
something similar happend to my mom's Crown Victoria. She decided to sell it extremely cheap to my sister who moved to NY within 6 months the car was totalled. She did the same thing to a POS Ford Escort I had sold to her years before...she's not very good with cars....Sad thing is she has never been the one drivign when somehting happens.

she sounds like an awesome find though
first time I visited..I was like what the hell darn dog is driving me nuts..I'm trying to sleep here......I didn't catch on for an half hour at least.
<<--can't train an old dog i guess
Cluey had offered so generously to do it ......but.....
I heard it wad great - can hardly wait!
thanks to everyone for trying to get him a copy.

Thanks, that would be great.
It just depends on when the hunt starts.
What am I?
somebody sent that to me in an e-mail, and I didnt know the answer right away, cause I was stupid... I figured I would post it here...
I dunno though.... the answer they gave me could be wrong too... and I would have no way of knowing..... I didnt write the question...
I did however, build the pyramids, in Egypt.
nobody can disprove that.

good luck - you can do it!

Car rental............ $175 plus mileage
Airfare............... $645
Total.................................$1220-1620
Sure, sounds like a good deal to me, PLUS you get to pick the airline AND your departure/arrival times.
I am sure it could make the climb uphill though. If not then you get a special one-on-one time with the wifey, and they come pick you up
