Kinda. We were "TAA" certified under the trade act. That means we can collect 2 years of unemployment and also have them pay for schooling for up to 2 years. I'm hoping to go to a 2 year course for packaging machinery maintence or facilities management for big buildings. Not sure yet. It's cutting it kinda close to get enrolled in a school for jan with all the hoops you gotta jump throgh to get there. Right now I'm just sucking up all the overtime I can get untill I'm done on the 11th of Nov. Under TAA employers can also get re-imbursed 1/2 our wages during training from the government if the are willing to re=train us in a new carreers on the job. That angle may work too.
basically that post above said I was 24 yrs old -taking paymes age test- the link was goofy- I couldnt decide on if I wanted to spin the bottle-drink free -wine or friends and food- I wanted to pick ALL of them!
ok- now that I did ok on the internet pokertable AND took all your internet quizes .....I'm off to bring Ian and Mucky beer! have a great weekend everyone!
except my VCR clock and the one on my stereo in my apt....
they just flash whatever many hours its been since the power came back on, from that last storm that knocked it out a few weeks back....
it seems like whenever I get around to setting the VCR one, another storm comes along and knocks the power off again, so i've just decided to leave it flashing....
not like I need to know what time it is, for some big plans or whatever....
all our clocks are not the same time anyhow- ones off by 25 minutes-another by 1 another by 3 - gotta keep um straight when getting kids to school on time...being on time for anything else just doesnt happen  :eyeroll:
I'm watching Law and Order: criminal Intent. The main suspect turns out to be a geocacher. They do a little schpiel on what caching is - then they actually do go Cache! They find the murder weapon near a cache.
first little kids around 5ish...than nobody until like 545pm...got another little kid...
then we just got slammed!!! from 6pm -7pm
lots and lots of cool kids all of them extremely cute!!!
I got rid of most of my candy and a grocery bag full of swag...mostly Beads from last years st. patty's day.
anyways....all of a sudden....NOBODY! Not a sole....
I found this extremely weird......I mean NOBODY after 710pm!!
Not even a teenager out hording treats after like 800pm...normally I always get a teenager.
...last year after 8pm I had about 4 groups of teenagers that all were extremely polite and only took one candy even thou I was trying to get rid of my stash.
oh well...interesting at least...
oh....And I managed to cut up 3 big pumpkins in about 15 mins...faces and all...
The daughter's had one group of about 20 teens later in the night. Guess they didn't make it up your way. I told Abby to be on the look out for two little girls named Caroline and Katie, but I guess they weren't wearing name tags.
I had about 70 kids. I didn't recognize one of my grandsons! Gave the little vampire his candy, told him he looked scary and to have fun and turned away. Then I heard, "Grandma?" :goofy:
streets gets blocked off for a huge party! dancing and music! we go to my aunts everyyear there -the neighbor counted 268 kids! and that was on the block up the block from the blocked off party block-can't imagine the hundreds they got down there.
will maybe post pics later if I have the time - and if any came out good in the dark- I am looking at getting a new camera soon
My boyfriend went through 2 cases of candy and then some. Figures he had about 400+ kids. That's what you get when you do your house up like he does tho.
They drank beer and had pizza and sat outside all night long handing out tons of candy.
Thanks for asking
I know somebody into that
It's the kind of job in which you can spend 32 hours hunting a mouse and get away with it.
Your costume is a french maid costume!' target='_new'>frenchmaid
Not for halloween tho ... just for fun.
There's things to read in those things too?

Yep...started out normal...

but I thought about going down there...last year we did...
I mean...not the best trick or treating blocks...
her side is great...the other side sucks...you gotta walk up and back down the sidewalks to the houses.....and long ways between homes..
need to figure out which homes have dogs...so I don't step in anything.
The problem is - I live in the poor section of town, and the kids get carpooled out to the rich section of town.
streets gets blocked off for a huge party! dancing and music! we go to my aunts everyyear there -the neighbor counted 268 kids! and that was on the block up the block from the blocked off party block-can't imagine the hundreds they got down there.
