We went up to my wifes uncles cabin and did some 4 wheelin'. Great time! Found some really cheap leather coats at a little store out in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin and ended up buying one for me and one for the wife. Only cost $110 for both! Awsome deal. Theses are really heavy leather jacket with liners. Mine even had a zip in collar warmer and zip on leather hood.

Saw the best fireworks I've ever seen in Barnes Wisconsin Sunday night.  Like a 15 minute grand finale!  Who would have thought?  It was this company's first time there and I hope they come back.  Finally feel like my tax dollars went toward something I can enjoy.

Saw some fire flies though. Just as the 5 deer were eating the corn on the grass 5 feet from us sitting around the fire pit. Couldn't beleive they'd come that close! No people out there so they have no fear.

I brought some fireflies home with me!  Opened the back of the truck and they were flashing back there.  Heard a deer make kind of a sneezing sound one night when we were around the fire mrmikey.  Tried to find it with a flashlight but it must have taken off.  I've never heard that before.

Last year I looked out of my tent toward the lake and the sky was full of fireflies hanging over the water.  Looked like stars falling from the sky.  It was beautiful.

kind of a wimpering sneeze if there is such a thing.

I'll bet that did look really pretty with the fire flies over the water at night!

I was thinking what a great picture that would have been, but I'm not sure you could capture that with a camera.  At least not with my camera.  Too bad.

They were in a place called "the dry dock" off hwy 35 in Dairyland. Or just north of dairyland.

I know the town....I'll have to head up there next time I'm at the cabin....not that much farther up the road...

yea they were really nice jackets! My wifes was kind of big, but I figured I'd pay $50 bucks and I could easily sell it for $100 if she decides she don't want it.

We introduced the kids to sparklers this year.  And after about 6 packages worth of me yelling "Don't step on the black stuff that falls off, it's hot!", E stepped on the last black thing from the last sparkler and burned her foot.  Next 4th, gotta wear shoes.  Hope everybody had a nice holiday.

Pretty close, THX.  They told us they would be here on 06/28.  When I called, after the designated install hours, they "had no record of that request."  They're now scheduled to come out tommorow.

A couple months ago, the cable guy left a little pink "sorry we missed you, you're bootlegging cable" calling card on our door.  I laughed my ass off, because we haven't had the cable hooked to the TV for years, we only use it for internet.  Wouldn't that be funny if we were getting free cable and not even using it?

By the way... for the other mothers in the cooler "E" isn't one of our kids...  The "introduction" to sparkler bombs consisted of watching the guys in the family light the thing from the back porch and then running to the front porch to see how long it took the patrol car to drive by....
