Not exactly a puppy, TC. It's my daughter's dog, but she's lived with me most of her life. The dog that is. lol Well, the daughter too.  It's a lab/border collie mix. Really nice dog. She's 7 today. The dog that is. haha She got a new bag of squeeky balls for her present. :) Also the dog, not the daughter. This is very confusing!
That's ok OT... just glad you cleared up the confusion about your daughter receiving a bag of squeaky balls. What a birthday present! LOL

Hey THX or anybody else for that matter, did you happen to get the new Star Wars Trilogy DVD set today? I watched The Empire Strike Back and it looked great but I couldn't FF or RW the DVD on my portable player. Can you?

Thanks Scoobysnack.... had a terrific birthday! We had planned to go out to dinner at PF Changs and then ended up with a sick kid... so Jase (he is the best!) stopped by there on his way home and turned our "dinner out" into a "dinner in".

btw, thx, amazon always says they're shipping later than they really do on a new release like that. i imagine it has something to do with ensuring they've got enough inventory.

They did that with all my orders though (Three separate orders).
With THX, it came out on the 14th, and they still hadn't shipped it by the 18th, and they said it wouldn't ship until the 21st.
I ordered Star Wars from Buy.com, and got it today.
CM, I was able to FF & RW Episode IV.
It must be the player then. I haven't tried it at home yet. Thx THX

Happened yesterday: my step dad is in ICU at St Johns hospital with conjestive heart failure/water on the heart/enlarged heart ... Lung failure-water in the tissue ... Kidney failure-took dialasis last night and thismorning. Not expected to recover. I am hanging in here-trying to keep composure -in a strange shock. I knew this was gonna happen...but someday -someday came :(

me2 - Prayers and thoughts going out to you and the family.Â
We just had to put my grandma, who has congestive heart failure, into the assisted living facility this weekend. It was kind of a bummer, but nothing like me2's news. Sorry to hear it.
Bad news nonetheless Frosti. It's very hard visiting someone in one of those places and seeing them deteriorate. It's all part of life but it sucks big time.
My grandmother on my dads side passed away in one of those places.... and I agree with CM... it sucked some major ass, having to go there and visit her.... what made it even harder for me to deal with it, was the fact that the night she passed away, we were celebrating my 17th b-day.
I agree, it's sad news regardless. All I can say is for your family to visit her often and vary the times / days that you go over there. I used to work at a couple of those assisted living facilities and the residents that had frequent (unexpected) visitors received the better care than the ones that had no body watching out for them. It was really sad. I worked in the kitchen at both places so had no say in what the nurses or other staff did. Although I always told them if I noticed someone needed help.
Is this a good place for "random thoughts"? When you log on in here, and the number of Members folders has changed, does anyone else scroll down trying to identify the new one? I've never been able to do it, but I am curious.

So, you show a different # before you log in than after?
It could be hidden threads. I set one up recently.
After I log in, when I go to Members Folders, it varies. It was 301 for a long time, then recently it's gone up to 303. I'm just a curious sort, and am wondering what's been added...if it's anything I might be interested in.Â
I only know of one thread that's been added recenlty, and it's a personal thread of mine.
Some others have host access here within their own threads. Maybe they created some private threads of their own.

Is it at the main PF members level, or in here within the Cooler Crew threads?
When I log in to Peoples Forum, I have to click on Member Folders to get to the Water Cooler thread.  Isn't that how everyone comes in?
That's not how I get in here. I bypass the members folder.
