Isn't that how everyone comes in?

I'm with the rest of them and have a favorites link to the WCCCRC folder.  I just use my Check Messages link after seeing how many new posts there have been in the various sub-threads.  I can't remember the last time I actually navigated in here.  I'm like George Jetson sometimes where I feel over worked if I need to push one extra button if there's a way around it.

I use the Check Messages feature as well.  I get lost when I see all the threads in the main folder!

Well, I know nothing, and don't know about links, so I'll just keep doing what I do.

To those who care:  the  B-Dalton bookstore in Maplewood Mall (Its the one on the bottom floor) is having a huge sale.. everything is on sale, because their going to be closing the store, most likely because of the Barnes & Noble thats moving in.  I have no idea how much longer their going to be there, but they still seem to have a lot of good stuff.

I just picked up this small little book "The Sonnets of William Shakespeare".

Very cool ESD.  But why the blank spot at the end of the loop?  It seems to create a flash effect for some reason. Did they make you use an interval to show beginning and end?  Otherwise it's pretty cooler.

OMG!!!! GREAT JOB ESD!!!

I can't wait to get home so I can listen to it.  No powered speakers here at work.  Very impressive guy.  You've come a long way baby. (ooops, made a pun and didn't even know it)

Is that going to be the host site?  I want to link to it for my link of the week next Monday. Are you able to add an auto return or option link after it's done?

Thanks CM
I am not sure what an auto return or option link is, I think I need to read the book some more.

Now that I figured out how to get them up and running I will try the web page that has the return buttons.

It's just his thing. He references THX or 1138 in every one of his movies.

In the scene where Indy is fighting the big bald guy. While the plane is spinning around. If you look at the wing number of the plane. You will see that the number is THX-1138. Also the pilot was a of the producers of the movie.

(in lost ark)...

also

Lucas has managed to slip in the word "THX-1138" or just the number "1138" into his films. For example in American Graffiti "THX-1138" is a license plate, in Star Wars, A New Hope "1138" is the number of a cellblock and the list goes on. And "THX-1138" has of course also given name to Lucas' sound system, THX. Hope this clearifies some stuff...might be some errors though

Harrison Ford wasn’t the only Star Wars connection in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. The plane seen in the opening sequence has the registration OB-CPO, while hidden among hieroglyphics in the Well Of Souls are engravings of druids R2-D2 and C-3PO. The scene where Indiana Jones threatens to destroy the Ark Of The Covenant with a bazooka was filmed in the same Tunisian canyon as the scene from Star Wars where Obi-Wan Kenobi is first introduced. In Temple Of Doom, the opening nightclub sequence is set in “Club Obi-Wan”. During the sequence set in the Nazi submarine base, the tannoy calls out the words: "eins, eins, drei, acht”, or “One, one, three, eight” – a reference to Lucas’s first movie, THX 1138.

Wow Kitch! Good job.

I haven't found the reference in Episode 2, but I saw a droid with 1138 on it in Episode 1.

As you are standing in line looking at the decorations there to keep you from going insane one of the space shuttles is being repaired and it's serial number is THX 1138 which is a reference to Lucas's Graduate Study Film

It'd get a good reaction. Shoot most people look at these forums at work (myself included) and havin somethin like that pop up on the screen could potentially be very bad. I think that includes THX, he's just not on the forums right now.

I just had a surreal experience.  My brother was sent an old newspaper article that showcased my Grandpa's old Minneapolis restaurant.  I looked up the address and thought for sure it had been torn down since it was pretty much part of downtown.  But I decided to go check it out anyway.  Damn!  What a weird feeling.  It wasn't exactly dajavu' but more of a reality check regarding time. It felt like the last 35 years didn't even happen.  The place was a hole. And that's a compliment. The outside looks nice enough, but I wouldn't even eat my own food inside that place. Creepy and disgusting.  I guess I was just surprised that the building was still there being part of the downtown area.  Maybe it's protected or something. Either way, here's a scan from the article in 1969? and a shot I just took 5 minutes ago.  Memories are freaky. -That's my Gramps Caddy in front but I can't tell what year it is - boy would he be proud of me having my own Caddie now ;-)
