Seems Mark Dayton told his office staff not to come to work until after the election.Seems he got a breifing on a possible terrorist plot that may happen before the election. He got the same breifing as all the other congressmen, but is the only one to decide it was too dangerous to go to work himself or let his staff go to work.

I should correct myself....Mark Dayton is a senatornot a congressman

well...I actually like all of the button choices! Year before last, I think, was the year I did not like! ---I went to the vote website and it let me vote-it accepted it-today, the 13th...if I win it will be interesting since the contest ended yesterday. I think they could use all of the buttons over the next 3 years. I really like the people with the shovels due to looking like treasure hunters-The Pioneer Press has NEVER given any credit to hunters before and I actually find it a step in the right direction to include us. (even though it is not the pioneer press who designed to buttons but the Carnival Heritage Foundation who funds the button sales). I recall the PP thinking treasure hunters were like "white trash".

Too bad one of 'em don't have a pitchfork or an ice chopper. Or maybe a 100,000 candle power spot light.

or a can of beer etc....

I don't think any real medallion hunter should be labeled that. Possibly a few thousand of the oportunistic last clue goers would fit.. :) But not a true hunter.

Benjamin Franklin Gates is a 3rd generation treasure hunter who has been searching for a treasure no one believed existed: amassed through the ages, moved across continents, to become the greatest treasure the world has ever known. Hidden by our Founding Fathers, they left clues to the Treasure?s location right before our eyes.

Anything that Bruckheimer touches seems to turn into his own treasure anyway.  He's got a knack for stuff like that.  Pretty cool site.

My dryer is making a high pitched squeaking noise. Any ideas out there? I tried belt dressing on the belt with no luck. Looks like it's time to tear it apart or get a new one. Any suggestions would be helpful.

New belt?  The old one might have stretched out.

Try a new belt.  Or, perhaps the belt pulley is out of alignment.

the belt is only 1 yr old. I think it maybe the pullys or maybe the main bearing?

I wonder if it has a grease fitting on the bearing? I'll probly end up ripping into it soon and then we won't have a dryer for a couple weeks 'till I get fed up and go buy a new one...blah

Dryers are pretty simple machines.  You should be able to fix it.

3M - I say spray the shit out of the motor area with WD40.  Most times it's just a couple of dry parts rubbing together.  It's at least worth a try before tearing the thing apart.  You can even do it while it's running to get instant results.  I use that stuff on everything.  And it's worked on just about all the squeaks around the house except my wife's squawking.  ;-)
