Shoot the Breeze With the Cooler Crew - Peoplesforum Edition

Does anybody have any electrical skills?? I have a ceiling fan in my bedroom, I can't get the lights on it to work but the fan still works, I'm assuming that it's just a loose wire somewhere but we are too scared to mess with it.

Can't help you there good luck on the house though=)

I was just thinking of you two yesterday LL! that thing we were gonna do for those 2 people didn't work out too well...but maybe keep that idea for a January hunting gift ;) if yah remember what we were gonna do.

We came down with colds around here :( bad timing- we have been looking forward to this weekend since last Spring!!!! I am gonna play golf and drink wine no matter how sick I get!!!

I received this email this evening from a co-founder of a group that began in Frogtown several years ago in answer to some hate crimes.  I'm posting this here to spread the word and ask for your prayers and healing thoughts for this family.

I need all the prayers of the entire world, so please start a chain.

My son, David, was jumped by 3 men on Tuesday nite. They handcuffed him and pored gasoline on him and set him on fire. He is currently at HCMC in critical condition in the burn unit. 67% of his body was burned. 50% of his upper body, including his face, is 3rd degree and 16% of his upper thighs is 2nd degree.

He is holding on, but I don't know how. They will be doing some surgery today, to graft skin to his neck so they can put a breathing tube in because the ass....also cut off a large portion of his tongue (I presume so he couldn't talk and say who did this) and they can't get at it because the ventilator is currently in his mouth. They need to see how much more damage was done to his mouth.

They are currently keeping him sedated so he won't move and tear his skin.

These next hours and months are critical and if he survives, he will be in the hospital for months.

The amazing thing is, he was able to get to a phone somehow and call 911, I suppose they assumed he was dead and left him. So, he got help in time to at least get him this far. Please, please send out a prayer chain - not only that he survives, but that they find the people who did this so they can be put behind bars and have the key thrown away so they can not do this to anyone else.

How awful, Terry!  Of course I'll pray for this young man and his family.

In my prayers too TV. That kind of stuff is the main reason we are moving north, I just can't deal with the cities anymore, I want to live in a quiet little town where I can let my kids run around and I don't have to lock my doors as soon as I walk in the house.

Ares-I have very limited room and my dryer is a stackable model, Thanks anyways. I'll take CM's advise. although I'll take it apart before spraying it down. Just what I wanted to do this weekend! The wife says it's getting worse, so I guess I can't put it off any longer.

CM-I know wd40 don't work for that! Thats why they make duct tape.

LL- I might be able to fix your fan/light. (no duct tape required)
