That sucks big time 3M! December seems to be the worst month for us as well. In fact I just found out 5 minutes ago that I'm going to be loosing one of my building contracts on 12/31. That'll reduce our monthly income by $500.00. Plus my wife is being forced to relocate downtown and work later hours. That'll mean $165 in parking, more in gas and no where to put the kid for 1 week out of the month even though we're paying for after school care for the whole month anyway.
I didn't want to rant, rather just let you know that you're not alone. I just can't stand this time of year. Thank God for the hunt in January to help get me out of this funk. I'm hoping to ride TV's Holiday Happiness Express train to help take me to a better place. Please post often TV. I don't want to loose it altogether.
Good luck with your interview, ESD! You're going to be employed by one of the premier ad agencies!ÂÂ
Thanks OT. I was walking down the hall and I got drafted in to being in a brown college commercial. The student that was supposed to be in it was a no show and I got $50.00 for my trouble.
Yep OTS is still on nightshift. He is picking up some overtime so he pretty much is dead tired. I work days so he only sleeps when the boys let him...
I was listening to Blues Lady's Time Machine on KFAI and had managed to get that dreaded jingle out of my head (thanks to a little Gladys Knight). I read your post and the song was right back again.
No thanks required- Elusive pissant that she is. I REAALY NEED to see some tortuous re-wording of the posts, as only Green can do...(or dew). Ahreeze misses this abuse as well, (but not so's he'd admitttt) PSO- Where-O-where Izzz GHREENE? hew knever kalled, EWE Pissanttttt.
....Ahh! That was SOOOOO worth it! Running my vaccum will be anticlimatic now. Whew! I need a baby wipe. Something REALLY important should be named after me..... (nothing green, please)
Everyone needs to begin a thorough inventory of digging implements. ...And then start watching that commercial. All I know is that on survivor, the hot implanted babe was voted off.
Damn! I tape that and haven't watched it yet! No surprise tho. I assumed it was going to be her anyway since her friend was booted last week. I'll still watch it. This is the second time this has happened to me. Will I never learn? I'm just glad I didn't log on during the election coverage. ;-)
All I know is that last nights South Park was one of the funniest I've seen in years. It was an episode on that skanky whore Paris Hilton.  Friggen gut buster I tells ya
I agree on Office Space. Weird though, why didn't they have him sign a red swingline stapler? Granted I've seen the kind they're auctioning and they're a great stapler, but it really doesn't fit what Milton coveted so much. I think he woulda kept the swingline if the company switched to those... probably the staples for the swingline too.
My wifes boss felt bad about her not getting her shortime disability for her surgery and decided that the company would pick up the tab and pay her 60% of her wages! She can pay it back once it's all settled and she gets the check from workmans comp or from the disability.(one of them will pay, just not sure which at this point). VERY NICE!
Kinda restores my faith in mankind. Some one actually did what was right and wasn't only looking at the bottom line!
Thanks for looking out for us. Yeah, I update the page on our computer, but I haven't uploaded it yet because Jackie wants to put a poster up there (of course, we haven't settled on a poster yet). So I think we're going to at least type in the dates, and hopefully by the weekend have some sort of pop-up poster, etc. on the site.
Yeah, it would be great to meet everyone before the first screening. Hopefully, Jackie's going to be in MN too, and Angus (he worked on the film the last three years) is coming from L.A.
Jackie and I are also very interested in getting everyone's opinion on what works and doesn't work in the film. Since it's digital (and not film where you have to cut a negative), we can make adjustments fairly easily. It'll be the first time that Jackie and I will see the film with an audience. As you've heard me complain before, this hunt and all of these characters, history, etc.are a pain to put into a 2-hour movie. Jackie and I are much happier with the 4-6 hours of material that the DVD allows. With the 2-hour movie so much has to be shortened and left out -- it's a drag. That said, the film should be an exciting two hours.
By the way, Jackie and I just spent five minutes discussing whether to cut out three words out of something you say in the film.
I'll let you know when we've updated the website. We're also going to get some flyers or PDFs out to everyone so they can push the film.
If you have any interesting promotional ideas or angles, please let us know. We're obviously going to do any TV, radio and print that makes itself available. It would be great to get some "penetration" into the U crowd, but it's not obvious to us how to do that outside of the MN Daily.
I was thinking about hanging something up at the liquor store, I know we have a few hunters that shop there, let me know if he has a poster or something that I can put up.
:( sorry 3M
I have an interview at Carmichael Lynch next Thursday at 9am.
Good luck with your interview, ESD! You're going to be employed by one of the premier ad agencies!Â

Every one has to start watching Brown College commercials and let me know if you see me.=)
I think the only way I can escape the local college commercials is to not watch tv. lol!

I ain't spending no $300+ dollars on a stapler though.
