It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Conway is trashed...there was no snow left unturned...hummmmm mabey up in the air I was thinking of running some clues so that people would come dig out my
Don't get discouraged by a place being dug up. Remember Cherokee last year. We'd all been digging there soooo long and it looked like every inch of the right area
of the park was dug up, but apparantly not. Conway is still the best bet, but I'm starting to wonder.
I've been watching this board closely for the last few days, and feel bad that I haven't contributed much. But then again I didn't really feel like I had any great insight.
But I CAN tell you that I've been out digging, and I don't think that I've been to the right park yet. Here's where I've been, maybe you too can rule them out. Newell
Hillcrest Martin Luther King Irvine Palace That silly bit of land right next to the Historical Society
It wouldn't be at the Capitol Mall would it (not a park) Does anyone think it's at BC? (ski jump) now that's flying down a hill, not the baby hill at Conway. Hopkins
Howie--did you just return from Conway? I can believe it's trampled, but remember Cherokee how bad it was last year?
Ok, here's my guesses "translucent peak" = the top of the St. Paul Cos. office tower downtown. "large red object high in the sky" = 1st sign above U.S. Bank tower
"man of fame" = Frank Kellogg, as in Kellogg Blvd. Also, John Ireland, Justice John Marshall, both streets nearby. "water on high" = holy water, i.e., St. Paul
cathedral "something worth learning" = St. Paul Technical College "Studying the past = Minnesota History Center "9, 5, 4" = Interstate 94, and 5th street, which runs
parallel to Kellogg, right beside the History Center.
I'm guessing it's either the triangle park in front of the Cathedral, or the courtyard in front of the History Center. Both are public land in Ramsey County.
You are not as wise as you appear, sensei, please enlighten us, or we can just assume you are another StoneCold, or Mike Koda, filling everybody with false hope
that somebody understands every clue and has put it together, because if you have, you would not be where you are right now...
Diva - I saw the anagram this morning. Keep an 'i' out of 'water on high' and you get Hawthorne (with a left over 'g'). Hawthorne runs into Phalen Park. Any ideas?
ive been to highland park and from what i hear about conway park is that its dug up to the dirt and the Med hasnt been found yet.... so i think it might not be there...
although the clues seem to fit it perfectly... i have made all the clues fit highland park perfectly too... and it's really not that dug up
Conway Heights Park, believe me I know where it is I was one of three people to spend the night digging all night last night and till this afternoon, what a MESS!!
Flat Tire, Didn't wear boots,...Geeez what a mess! Everything matches up out there, but there is ALOT of ground to dig and ALOT of snow. For those of you
Highlanders, give in now, your last clue even says "orient" which refers to the east "side". Only 100-125 people out there today-alot less than yesterday, tonights clue
should give away the name, just like I (hate to brag) told you last nites would refer to 3m(mmm) and water tower. Tonights will confirm the park, and maybe a little
extra sumpin! sumpin! of a directional clue within it! See yalls at 11:30, unless of course.......oh well that'll never happen.
It doesn't matter how much it's dug up. It could still be there. Cherokee was dug to hell last year before it was found. Some poor sop could have had it in his/her
shovel and not have noticed it! So don't count out the park just because it's dug up. Find the park that you think fits the clues best, and then get your butt out there
Dave- Hate to burst your bubble, but last night's clue made me believe more that it's in highland. 1st of all, it say's high, if that's not a clue.... There's a water tower in
highland. Don't you think orient might mean the east side of highland park??? And you can see something red in highland also.
I just got todays clue, and am n ot familiar with Highland or conway. Could someone PLEASE go over why the clues fit there? Also, is everyone sure its at one of
woodmaster....clue #7 "...think first of trees in a line, from this a name will appear...." Look up "PHALANX" it means in a formation or arrangement. On the Phalen
maintainence bldg. front door there is a 995, which is on the edge of the golf course..."FORE"..."and you will shout" FYI
Conway is trashed...there was no snow left unturned...hummmmm mabey up in the air I was thinking of running some clues so that people would come dig out my

Where do you think Chump....if not Conway WHERE....!?

Oh, I forgot Linwood too. I turned that place upside-down.
was at newell also
where is triangle park
Oh, I forgot Linwood too. I turned that place upside-down.
I'm serious, why is everyone sooo sure it's Conway? There's just as many clues at other parks as there is there.
Is anyone there?

Don't rule out BC yet... I think you can tie in every clue, but there is a LOT of ground to cover...
A starry night, a shoveler's plight
and Pablo's partly right..
An iconoclast thats from your past
will help you see the light.....
Less digging, more history

Do you relize that water high can also stand for white horses
dOES ANYONE know that high whater also stands for white horses
You guys are all in the wrong park.
Do you have to be able to see all of the "clues" from where the medallion is hidden? Or just be in the general area?
You are not as wise as you appear, sensei, please enlighten us, or we can just assume you are another StoneCold, or Mike Koda, filling everybody with false hope

Thanks. Somene told us that it didn't matter if you could see all of them-just that you had to know that they are around the area. That helps.
ive been to highland park and from what i hear about conway park is that its dug up to the dirt and the Med hasnt been found yet.... so i think it might not be there...

Brenlee- 94 to RUTH st. north. go 2 blocks, park on right
Barton
How do you make the clues fit Highland? We're still stuck on Conway-you're right-it's down to the dirt.
Sensei
Smaller park? somewhat unknown?
Could someone tell me where Triangle Park is?

I just got todays clue, and am n ot familiar with Highland or conway. Could someone PLEASE go over why the clues fit there? Also, is everyone sure its at one of
these 2 places? Thanx in advance!
FlyFan88 - The water tower by Conway is "HIGH" as well as the red object (3M sign).
How can I review entry # 13244 and 12850 without waiting an hour
why conway park??????? next guess, clue 8, "covered" + "round and white streached tight" = medallion is IN this. ie. white tupperware, drum, ect
repete, why conway park? i just started reading the watercooler discussion and dont have time to read 15000 postings
clue 7 "trees in a line" unscramble letters to form "name" of park or "valuble" street "sign" .....
woodmaster....clue #7 "...think first of trees in a line, from this a name will appear...." Look up "PHALANX" it means in a formation or arrangement. On the Phalen

starbury - it's at Conway. Read previous postings.
Dagnabbit- I didn't say the clue doesn't fit Conway. But the clues fit Highland better. I've thought for at least 3 days (or clues) now.
