It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

I think the "type-oed" on purpose just to make things even more difficult than they already are, either that or it's another clue altogether.
Does anyone here go to the PP to get a paper? I tried it tonight for the first time and the paper comes out the same time the internet posts it. Maybe even a few
minutes later. I got the paper tonight around 11:30. Why do so many people go there?
Boy jimbuzz, now I'm going to have to eat some Peanut Butter Captain Crunch to stay awake and figure this out. Thanks alot! But as for myself, I've never gone
downtown to get a paper. It just seems so much more convenient to get the clue from your own home. Whoever would have thought it could make a difference?
Actually thomass, we have...Conway. Clue #10 typically gives the name of the park, and in this case it referred to Conway Twitty and Tim Conway. So matter what
the rest of the clues say, if you want to propose another park, you'll have to explain away Clue #10 before you mention anything else.
The best scenerio would be to be in line to get the paper at the PP and have a cell phone with you to call yer buddy at the park. Or 2ndly have yer laptop plugged in
Didn't mean any offense jimbuzz, but with so many people making so many false claims on here, I just like to have a little confirmation before I go off half-cocked,
though in this case my instinct said you were right.
The PP has been getting very careless the last 24 hours. For a long time they had that message at the top of the page saying that the medallion was hidden in a place
that had "park" in its official name knowing that there was some dispute about that regarding Conway. Then they followed it with a "Really!" as if to imply that we
were all in the wrong place. Then they misprint the clue on the website sending everyone digging in the wrong spot! Maybe they don't want to give that money away.
Just back from Conway. When the clue first came..there was this wave of people all converging to the area of the hockey rinks. Just walls of people. Then the
crowds did disperse some but mostly staying on the rink side of the park. It's there somewhere. We stayed until we could not lift that shovel to chop one more time.
Met some real nice folks there tonight. Those medaling kids, Sethmon, Wright Winger, Pat P. Ian was there with his son, Eags, Cheryl, Mr. Mags, E & H's Mom
and Dad, Green, Dave Young. This board has sure opened the door to meeting some very nice people of all ages.
jimbuzz, you said there were a lot of people in line with you, or did you just mean you waited an hour until they handed them out? What I'm wondering is does
anybody thin the people at Conway right now know about this? Particularly the ones who intend to stay up all night until every inch around those rinks is dug up?
I don't have the years handy but according to the list I made from the coolercrew website of past hiding places it was in Langford, Tony Schmidt Park, Kellogg Mall,
Newell, Acorn, Marthaler Park, Irvine, Mears, & Marydale Park. I may be wrong about the size of a few of them, but it has been in small ones. Check out the
Terry, I don't know if you read through the earlier postings, but it has come up that the actual paper says frozen PLACES of equal size, not PLANES. Any
ALLISON: Why would they lie about the "park" name thing? The whole point of the tresaure hunt is for someone to find it. If they don't give away the $10,000.00,
there would be alot of pissed off people, and they would lose alot of business as well as get bad publicity from StarTribune.
jimbuzz, the other person you're talking about, do you think they told anyone? (Then again, maybe they didn't feel it was in their best interest). I just know when I left
most of the focus was still on the hockey rinks, irregular though they be. I'm almost wondering if I should go out there and tell them.
Actually Terry, I don't think it does for four reasons. 1) There are three rinks there not two, even though maybe only two could really be used for hockey. 2) No two
of those rinks are the same size. 3) Considering how the other clues have gone this year, and even compared to Clue #11 last year, that clue would be just too easy.
4) With all the excavating that took place by those rinks, I think they would have found it.
I think you might be right DaBrewman, it could be in the middle of the two equal places. But what are those places? When I left the tennis court was being cleaned
off by several people. I think the other courts have been pretty well checked out too. So I'm guessing it must be something else.
MONEYMONEYMONEY-- My hunting partner says you may be disqualified if you don't turn it in within a reasonable time frame, some have waited 'til next
morning. Also, I work with a guy who will be a Vulcan next year, & was told two yrs ago by the PP that there are spotters watching the area VERY closely
When I heard tonight's clue and then realized the ice rinks were different sizes, the thought that it may be somewhere else passed through my mind but it would be
just too bizarre if Conway fit the clues better than the park the writer had in mind, or else just evil of them to yank our chain that way.
DEB, Did you notice that guy at conway this morning in the yellow? I asked him what he thought and he said he didn't want to comment. He was pretty strange. He
never dug. He just stayed on the hill by the equipment. You think he's a spotter?
The rules very clearly state The Med must bee turned in immediately.
Can I tell you?
DDY found blue plastic tonite! YUP!!! My contact popped out into the snow, and he found it in a nano second!!! He did't get any money for it, only a hero's kiss!
I think tonight's episode may disprove the lurker theory. If the lurker knows where it is, they must have been dumbfounded to see such a universal rush on the
hockey rinks. You think they would have called the PP and asked what was going on.
I think the "type-oed" on purpose just to make things even more difficult than they already are, either that or it's another clue altogether.
Hey Jazzy, if you're still there. Got your messages. Too bad I can't seem to email you though. Are other people able to email you?
a clue is a clue it reads planes not places if they wanted to put places in there they would have
ANYWAYS I`M GOING NITE NITE GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU
2 tennis courts at Newell. Yeah, that's it.
Has anyone else seen the actual paper yet?
Does anyone here go to the PP to get a paper? I tried it tonight for the first time and the paper comes out the same time the internet posts it. Maybe even a few

CLUE ON INTERNET READS PLANES, BUT I DON`T CARE I`M TOOOO TIRED TO CARE RIGHT NOW GOOD LUCK FINDING IT IN THAT
DUGUP MESS
no one has even narrowed it down to one park.
I went to the PP the night my laptop crashed. Friday, I think. Funny seeing people sprint away with their clues as if they knew where they were going.
Allison: If you look back to message 19147 PIE brought it up before me. Then I looked at the paper and it was "PLACES".

and on the web page and keep hitting reload
It is inexcusable that they can't report the clues properly. This calls for a class-action suit. 10K/coolerhead!
Didn't mean any offense jimbuzz, but with so many people making so many false claims on here, I just like to have a little confirmation before I go off half-cocked,
though in this case my instinct said you were right.
DaBrewMan:Have another!! We've been talkin' about a possible typo for the last 20 minutes. Do you read any of what's in here?
The PP has been getting very careless the last 24 hours. For a long time they had that message at the top of the page saying that the medallion was hidden in a place
that had "park" in its official name knowing that there was some dispute about that regarding Conway. Then they followed it with a "Really!" as if to imply that we

I E MAILED SYSOP, MAYBE THEY KNOW WHICH IS RIGHT . WE`LL SEE
I wasn't taking offense to anything Allison. Just trying to help you out.Did you look @ 19147?
Yes every night it ain't no typo

Allison, When has it ever been at a small park?
see, thats what I was thinking along the lines of tennis courts

The clues are written before the Medalliion is hid
Allison:There were about 70 people waiting in line. There is someone else out there who knows the truth.
Check out the
coolercrew website though for more info.

thoughts?
Im sorry but i just loged on....IF I MAY, "CAN I SPEAK ON THIS"......THEY SCREWED UP AND SAID PLANES INSTEAD OF PLACES!...THEY DID
THAT WITH THE 9-5-4 THING ALSO....IT SAID "A NINE, A FIVE AND SOMETIMES A FOUR.....THEN LATER SOMEWHERE A FOUR! HOW
CAN THEY SCREW THINGS UP LIKE THIS..........

No thoughts about the places/planes. I do think the hockey rinks fit the clue.

But they aren't the same size Terry.
If you look at frozen places or frozen planes....you still come up with the same place as far as I can noodle out.
I'm headed for the bed. Work tomorrow....and out to dig if it hasn't been found by then.
Sweet Cooler Dreams!
aMID the snow and Ice= middle

WATER ON HIGH? TRY THE WATER FOUNTAIN. THIS TIME OF YEAR THEY BOTH ARE FROZEN AND ONE IS HIGHER THAN THE OTHER
Allison:They'll know by morning. Save your energy although that would be very thoughtful of you.

One year they found it across the street from mounds park on the bouelvard
Thanks jim, good night!
OH my!! there goes the skateing rinks all to hell
DaBrewMan: How many times do we have to tell you it's not "PLANES" in the paper?

Hay, Deb!
Yea, we heard about The Lurkers last year. Ittiz so they know when ittiz found. Don't know if ittiz true or not... But you never can tell!
