The word city beginning this lines of this clue is obviously important, or they would not have used the word To in the second line. It doesn't make grammatic sense.
It's that last line "if you can figure out this clue" apparently,we are supposed to be able to get some meat out of this one, as if the clue writer is telling us that this one has an actual purpose.
Allison, not to jump off the city thing here, but if you think about where you founf the paper at last year in the park, there's a one way on each side of the street, and a circular pond in the middle, however really close to newell
like harriet island even if itz not there. i did all the grading for the beautiful golden prominade walk along the river, parking lots and the entrance road from plato blvd shaped like a fat g as it goes down to a cul-de-sac by the paddleford ticket building. the park can easily handle 10000 people as it did for the opening in september. the towers with the platform is the new target stage for future outdoor concerts, will be cool if they get some good bands down there.
Treasure Huntin' Fool--it is no typo. It really is that way.
On second thought, What would be another kind of thinking other than "circular" ??
Isn't Mears downtown? I do need some sleep here. Maybe there isn't even a Mears park. Seems like it's a square and downtown.

squared: maybe you take 50 square it, and get 250 for something... what?
it all makes sense almost, though its quite crazy. if its at newell again, it explains "duel","circular" and a whole lot of other stuff
You can see the 1st National Bank '1' from the Treasure Site!
Linear is another kind of thinking.
And I agree leelabell that the grammar in the second line is odd. Using thinking twice may have something to do with it being circular thinking.
And this clue is taken from the paper, not the website.
and it dosnt stretch the clues that much either
dont think banks have anything to do with the clue
view again (ie fairview)
Highland is about 265 acres. Not quite 250 for the squared theory.
Can anyone get anything out of
Think Twice and/or City
Thanks. I'm going to sleep on it now.
It does sound pretty plausible though that it refers to a one way circular road or driveway.
I like your idea Allison about a circukr object that you can't see from the site.
Now what could that be... Dome of capt. smoke stack, water tower, wind mill, ..
Thanks. I'm going to sleep on it now.
I'm off to Rice...Got my boots on, a warm sweater. Anyone coming? Have you noticed some people are absent right now? lIKE OUT LOOKING?
Seems like that road in Highland is one way for a bit and circular (by the flag memorial thingee.)
The Newell theory isn't that crazy, and 50 squared is 2500.
good call ALlison. Ittiz late!
I refuse to believe it could be in Rice with half the park fenced off like that.
It's that last line "if you can figure out this clue" apparently,we are supposed to be able to get some meat out of this one, as if the clue writer is telling us that this one has an actual purpose.
Just what I was thinking about Newell. Think twice...
Isnt' the lake in Phalen called round lake? Did someone say that already?
Allison, not to jump off the city thing here, but if you think about where you founf the paper at last year in the park, there's a one way on each side of the street, and a circular pond in the middle, however really close to newell
any other thoughts on newell?
I don't know if it's the opposite, but another way of thinking is linear, rather than circular. Has this been an overkill discussion yet?
it is in a shady area!!!! the snow bank wont be shrinking!
An island is circular. Harriet Island? you could see the 1st bank sign down there.
Is it under construction? I looked at it a few weeks ago from the high bridge.
Are there any round-a-bouts in St. Paul. I can think of a few in Mpls.
What about instead of being able to line-up landmarks as usual that this year the land marks will surround the medallion
Dave - I think you are right...I think the med is hidden in a circular object. that's my take. because if you find it your bank account wont shrink
good thought tim
out of view = hidden?
hidden falls? rex
the online version of the clue says circular thinking is one way of linking (not thinking) to the treasure...
Since we are stuck on the 1st thing, anyone ever think of that gold building downtown and the flashing first sign?
in a round patch of trees?
I am looking at the online clue and it says thinking - where are you?
no it doesn't!!
circles linking together = a chain

thank you! I knew i wasn't imagining things. I even printed it out. definitely linking.
Linking sure makes more sense. I wonder why the PP site still says thinking.
http://www2.twincities.com/wintercarnival/
It says "...one way of linking"
I used the link at the top of the cooler pages to get there and it was the PP site. Was there a misprint in the paper?
WTF! He's right! I just looked myself! Is this a mind twister or what? Dissimformation?
my says "thinking" and im on the website, thanks about the stage
mom pp's site is official. so why the h*ll did the other site fix it?
