all i can think about is hidden falls. some of the streets are circular and i think one way, theres a us BANK across the street, and "out of view" could mean hidden.
I'm still not ruling out Capitol Mall and Downtown St.Paul though.
Any thoughts to the meaning of "circular thinking"? Or why they used thinking twice?
As far as I know, it is unknown whether 'linking' or 'thinking' is correct. We may not know for some time. [linking makes more sense to me, but what's that got to do with anything?]
Just a thought, but no where in the rules does it say that the medallion has to be in a park, but just on public land in Ramsey county, what if it's not in a park?? the clues have said nothing about a park
I got booted off as well right after the clue came out. Personally I believe "linking" is the correct one, even though the paper itself says "thinking". But linking to something makes more sense than thinking to something, and I don't believe they really would use the same word twice. Plus, its not the first time this has happened. Two years ago the website said "two planes of equal size whereas the paper said "two places of equal size".
Quick re-cap for us late nighters....may want to mark to save time sloggin Clue 3 (obvious? - bank acct. will grow by 10K, 1ST Letters spell out CITY). CIRCULAR THINKING - Letters in name (Como) - Skating rink (used 2 years ago) - Fire Circle - Structures (oil tanks, water towers, domes of Cathedral and/or Capitol - many used before) - Steet shape - Street name (Holecombe Circle etc.) - Lake shape - Island Shape (Harriet) - Opposite (Square, Kellogg Square) - Air traffic guide wire balls (Hidden Falls - used before) - Hidden In something circular. BANK - Snow, River, 1st, any financial institution, hidden in a deposit envelope. FIGURE - Figure skating rink (used before), also as in a number like 0 - back to circular thinking. OUT OF VIEW - Hidden (Falls). VIEW - Street name (Fairview). LINKING - (on-line version only) - Chain Link Fence, Web Linking.

Well, Rice didn't look so good. I could have sworn that would be a good place - because of the gold and the circles (like in Travis Smith who is the Gold Medal winner of the Culinary Art Olympics (olympic circles-circular thinking) who has a 2 member team that will be working on a special Korean War Ice Sculpture Memorial commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the War (as in duel). One way (as in street-so prevelant d.t.)of thinking (Rice Park borders the Library), and Rice Park as in the clue about June (and June weddings&throwing rice). Oh well, still a newby at this.
I know - its just that in Rice there is that big chain link fence around the round fountain that they are restoring and I keep thinking of dueling = fencing. There is quite a bit of snow near the fence all the way around. I noticed a couple of poles that had numbers on it - one w/ a 4, the other 9, so would have to look in future to see if that fit, and Go through the cold - they already have ice blocks there for carving. Oh well - I think I will have to give up on that one. If you pick apart BOLD - you've got the old Bank site that is kinny-korner to Rice, O for Ordway, L for Landmark Center, but there is no D.

shrinking = rink, on your toes, such as skating ?
Help its trying to kick me off again!
Marley thinking is only used once, it is, one way of L inking
hmm...hidden falls...could be...
Weather or not i figure out the clue, my bank account is still shrinking!!!!!!!!!!!
thinking is used twice on pioneerplanet official page, that other one is twin cities.com or something

It says 'linking' at http://www2.twincities.com/wintercarnival/
as posted at the pp clue site, it says....circular thinking can be one way of linking.
at http://www.pioneerplanet.com/wintercarnival/index.htm it says thinking twice

I say they are both wrong. It is 'one way of blinking'.
thats why i think a bunch of people tore off for holcumbe circle auggie
I was thinking of newell yesterday. It would be bold (never been done before) to put in the same park two (duel) years in a row.
where is holcumbe circle??
n of summit s. of selby between victoria and dale
webster magnet school
Isn't that the ghetto??
Now I know where Holcumbe Circle is. But why dig there?
wellll...
Very close to the ghetto. It's in between ashland, laurel, st.albans and grotto.
not really a park as I think of one ... 1 way circle

Linking to something has an internet connotation. Hmmmmm, maybe we're in search of the big WWW! (Some people may get that joke).

kitty? where did you go?
figure could just refer to a number - a number like "0" (circular thinking) In clue #1 - the word game - could that refer to animals?
Rice park seems to fit fairly well actually, but I can't believe its there.

Well I'm getting pretty sleepy. I think I'll have to work on this more tomorrow.

I need some zzzzzz's b4 work tomorrow too......Nite.
And goodnite 2u2
Last one up as usual. Nothin but Noodlin
It is clear to me about seeing "thinking" twice in the clue and the mention of "out of view" may have something to do with Double Vision?!?!?
Any one up??
