Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Wabbit
There some sort of antenae type of thing on a building on fifth and sibley near mears.
There is a satillite dish on top of the pavillion in the park.
Hey Randy, I know it's cool, and if I had an inside to it, I would let you know. My wife and I gave Aaron and Erin lots of crap about it at their wedding....it did look pretty strange!!! My wife took our son to MP and BC tonight, but it was pretty scarce. Few people digging, but nothing too hot. Still need a few more clues.
Drove around a bit tonight doing some scouting. Didn't get as far as we wanted to, but did get far enough to report that zero people are at Newell. No obvious hunters at Como. Didn't see anyone at Battle Creek. Saw maybe 10 people max at Mounds. No one at Marydale.
ok, I think hey hey were game to play is a quote by some one. notice that is in quotations but ok ok is not. I think ok ok is just for the rhyme and we should be figuring out the hey hey.
Clue #4 "Hey, hey," you say, "We're game to play But give us a tip -- be fair!" OK, OK, here's all we'll say Look for something in and on the air
hey hey, is a neil young song, as in "my my hey hey" he was part of crosby stills nash and young. DUUUHHHH!!!
Look for something in and on the air means in=airplanes(another border) on= the song on the air.
trip= crosby was a huge druggie drunk.

I looked at all the locations of the Medallion and compaired it to the list of parks at the St. Paul Parks web site. Crosby Farm is the only park that has not been the location yet since 1952.
Also, I stand by my earlier suggestion that it is very evident that we have a different writer this year. Potentially a gen-xer whom is more prone to writing clues with pop culture references that the traditional 'st. paul quirkyisms' or historical refferences of the past. Given all that...I think we are more likely to have a NEW location this year. Us Gen x-ers are very fond of the new and untried things.
Crosby Farm is my guess, but we'll wait for tonight's clue to confirm.
Yea, we were out scouting too. Hit Battle Creek, Cherokee, Highland and Mounds. Only about a dozen people at Mounds. The other parks were empty........ hmmmmmmmmmm.... Not having much luck knocking down these clues. Ugh.
The issue about Mounds is that there are burial mounds for some Native people. There once were roads that went around those and some folks just couldn't be civil and leave the burial grounds be. There was a bit of a raucous about it...not only about the hunt but the use of the park in general. Now the roads around the mounds have been taken away and there are fences to discourage anyone from climbing on them.
If anyone today would see anyone climbing within those fenced areas, I'm sure they would say something to the idiots mighty darn quick!
Lots of times, clues 5 and 6 are the clues that bring the hardcore hunters above the normal. I think we have a shot at figuring the park out tonight. We will for sure narrow the search doun to 4 parks or so, and there will be people fully leaning towards one park.

Good Evening!

Ok....before i decide to go back and look at the last 1100 posts...imma ask all you ninjas if its even worth it... is it?
Probably not
I think it may be in an undeveloped part of a park, with tall grasses and brush and stuff to hid it under..
I also liked the traffic camera at merrium that was in the air & on the air
I really dont think you will need a shovel its not going to be in the snow
Hi Terry,
Do you recall the story about it never being at Mounds again? Were you looking back in 1987?
Someone asked about hard evidence that it wouldn't be hidden at Mounds. You won't find any evidence to that affect. It doesn't exist.
And welcome to the cooler to all who have ventured here for the first time!
Sorry I can't remember all your names, but the slogging is fast and furious here this year.

Interesting legend about Mounds. Rumor has it that somebody did something to one of the burial sites.
Yeah...ive heard that it wont be and mounds either...but hey..until it comes directly from PP im not leaving that park out...
There are too many options still available...digging won't get intense until this weekend
I think spark just rhymes with park
I've been looking most of my life.

The only tip I saw at Mounds was:
Do not leave valuables in vehicles. Or perhaps, pick up after your dog.
this weekend? Heh..the wicked clowns come out tomorrow night
Sometimes they choose odd words to make the clue rhyme
Hey Hey - Where is everyone? I want to hear what you all think?
this nect clue is going to lead us ............
it has to be in a big park... not enough snow
med hunter, I think we are all thunk out!
Of the fences at mounds. By the overlook one could easily skirt it and go on the mounds.
NOBODY DO THAT OK?
I can almost always think of a reason not to put the medallion somewhere. Like the wildflower areas, etc.
hey hey = eyhhye
mounds then??
Highland is about the biggest park...that could make it tough

Hey Hey - What about a "tide" detergent container - might be hidden in? Just a thought.....HELP
Right now, i like Mounds and Crosby...we'll see what happens in the next few hours...
Take away the course, and highland isn't that huge
