2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

Okay, I admit, it is fun to be in the right park. I nailed chairokee, but only on sheer luck and unknown fellings, looking back I realize how confused I really was. I missed most of the Conway hunt do to illness. Newell was my first homerun, nailed the clues and actually got really close to it(of course anyone in the whole park was close) I was like 50 feet away. Then Como, the clues just fit except for clue 5 which we just ignored, which was the right thing to do. Hopefully this year, I will be as succesful in finding the park, and more succesful in finding the medallion.

Oooo, an accidental palimino(hehehe) joe!

Ter said that Greg Sax isn't going to be able to make it back here this year. Which bums me. Hopefully he'll be posting on here, tho.

Perhaps I should rephrase that, seeing that in print looks odd--How 'bout, none of my information has changed since last year.

OK, LET'S ALL BE AWARE OF PARK HOURS, OBEY ALL POSTED RULES, AND RESPECT PUBLIC PROPERTY. WE ALL HAVE TO PUT IN EXTRA HOURS THIS YEAR. NO RANGER IN UNIFORM IS CONNECTED IN ANY MANNER WITH THE SPOTTERS. WE ARE SIMPLY DOING OUR JOB.

maureen hursey

That's one good way to bring down the board. Of course, I always respect Mr. Park Ranger.

DDave! I'm so happy none o'those vitals changed! You'd stopped my heart there for a sec and I was about to cry!

Roger-Dodger! I must'a hit pay dirt... Will add that in the Misc Column.

Thanky very much, Sir!

Ares, what's the 5th Como Clue? I'm wondering if ittiz the one that sent *me* scurrying around to all the bus stop signs in Como! LOL!!!

I told you guys there's Spotters. Mr. Ranger just comfirmed it, Boo-Boo!

Green,

I'm a little worried about the 24 hour access, at least I'm not a different hair color.

green assuming youre talking about last year's hunt:

A man of steel cannot be real, But another has plenty of mettle. Look for his name around our deal, And you'll be in very fine fettle.

To escape the herd find a peaceful bird Somewhere deep in the snow. Our treasure is boxed inside the word, And that's what you need to know.

Mr. Ranger missed me in Phalen two years ago... I'm not worried.

But I was just reminded o'something... Millions of posts back, someone was talking about how they hoped The Med (that's going to be hidden in a California naval orange...) would be placed in a park with parking...

If you remember at Chair-O-Key, the Cods never hassled us about parking. There was parking in every single "NO PARKING" zone there was and not a single Cod batted an eye...

So, can sumbuddy xplain to me WHY the Cods gave out parking tickets at Conway????? Same city, for crying in a bucket!!!

Because o'different precincts? And they were pis, uhmmm... angry?

Wed, 01/09/2002 - 8:05 PM Permalink
green

Thanks, Ares. Yeah. Meant last year.

I didn't noodle that one either. Do many folks noodle very hard what The Med's in?
