On my 2nd trip back to HI this evening I saw 2 folks on the corner of Wabasha and Kellogg looking around all the newspaper boxes, they were looking like they thought it would really be there, too!
This last clue doesn't make sense at the part of Harriet I was in, and I don't like the rest of the clues for the part of Harriet this last clue does make sense for. I think I like them all better at Kellogg, but at this point, I don't really know anymore. There's still something in these clues I believe that I've not yet picked up. But most everything makes a lot of sense at Kellogg, except for that the place has been searched pretty thoroughly and there weren't that many hiding places to begin with.
You bet, Usual! I don't know why anyone thought it was there. I don't think they even have those merry go rounds in parks anymore, which is a shame, those were really fun.
There's not a whole lot to uncover, though. Most of the park is that wide open area, and what's not wide open, a lot of people have been through. Plus down by the beginning of the marina are a lot of sticks and little trees, kinda treacherous to walk through. I know! I did!
if it's in the tall grass, i'm going to kick myself, because i've put in about 5 and a half hours searching that tall grass and the sand and all the stupid hollow trees
I have to admit that tonights clue led me astray and brought me to Harriet, but after two hours down there, I hate the idea of it being there more than I did before. I don't think it's there and I pray that I'm right.
I just don't know about it being in tall grass...anything that it'd be in would be pretty easy to see without raking I would think, just by walking around, and especially with the whole "where the sun don't shine" business...the sun can shine right through that grass
I don't know!! I thought it was at HI until I spent a huge amount of time there and just didn't seem to be getting any good feelings, went up to Mounds for the 1st time tonight and thought maybe that was a good place but not really...actually considered Hidden Falls or Crosby Farm for a bit
Well I've suddenly gotten very sleepy which means instead of thinking about the clues, I'm more likely to just stare blankly at the screen. So I guess I should go get some sleep and get back to thinking when I wake up.
good point usual, but I think that a lot of people are just convinced it's there because a lot of people are there, not necessarily because the clues are a good fit, a lot of people tend to follow the herd
so round and round horse shoes golf boxing drinking perry como,RATT,dead or alive merry-go-round paddel wheel carosel the clue writer messing with our heads
I think there's a strong possibility that it might not even be found, and the way this thing is going, they're not going to release the name of the park outright tomorrow night.
ok, if this goes to 12,,, im scared of 12,,, to my knowledge i dont know of it ever going that far... only 11.. so,, if we still dont know the park by the night of 12,, us cooler heads will need a plan to have somebody at like every park,, and have someone get the paper,, and call the person at the park with the lucky phone scribe won.
yeah I thought that too, about the Harriet Bishop thing, and then people kept talking about ran and ran as the river and talked a lot as the mouth of the river, which points to other parks for sure
round and round...perry como..good one! didn't even think of that and I like that song.
I know, I'm scared of tomorrow night because everybody has cell phones and buddies that they can stake out. I hunt alone and am cell phoneless so I've got no prayer if the clue gives away a lot.
well, , im sure we wont know anything tommorow with 11,, so we need a plan for 12... or, it will be anarchy... thats pretty interesting about dunning field though....
yesterday as in monday or yesterday as in sunday? guess it doesn't matter, if it was there they didn't look very hard because they would've found it, you'd think
were on clue 10,, no body knows where to dig... does this seem odd?? so year 6 DIRTY DIAPERS FOUND TODAY!!!! (and one box of laxitives) honest.... oh and that poker chip that gave me a heart attack
when i was at HI,, people were making sand angels,, and my group went their, dispite us nothing thinking its their... my theory now is that its stuck to the underside of someones boot, and they don't know it,, and thats how it has been escaping finding.
this is ridiculous, we are smart people, we should have it nailed by now! if some moron with no button that's never searched before just happens to stumble on it, i've lost faith.
Nah.... I think some people would actually use those in a park... and besides.. when hunts get to 10 clues, with only 2 left... believe it or not, there are some ninjas, that purposely go out and drop stuff, just to make people think they've found "it"

How many places are there where you can get away from a storm 24 hours a day.
Hotel (Radisson), skyway, cave, homeless shelter, a few churches...
Hmmm...does Kellogg's make Wheaties? You know they always put sports figures on the boxes! :)
I was searching that corner, if your trip was around 11:30 or so.
nope, around 1 am

Hmmm, you know, Pierce Butler also runs by West Minnehaha and I know people have been searching that. Maybe there's a Capitol view near to that.
Somebody brought that up earlier Matthew, there weren't a whole lot of people out at Mounds tonight, mostly drive-bys.
I agree Terry, very good hunt! I think the clues have been really fun this year!
Oh yeah.. by the way.. the hunt is on, as of 3:08 A.M.
if it's in the tall grass, i'm going to kick myself, because i've put in about 5 and a half hours searching that tall grass and the sand and all the stupid hollow trees
thought minnehaha ran parallel to pierce butler, where's it at allison?
you ripped out the grass?!?
It does. Minnehaha is one one side and Pierce Butler is on two sides as it curves around to meet Minnehaha just west of Dale.

That's what I thought guys, thanks!
I hear ya ShovelMaster, every time I'm there I like it less and less.
I don't know!! I thought it was at HI until I spent a huge amount of time there and just didn't seem to be getting any good feelings, went up to Mounds for the 1st time tonight and thought maybe that was a good place but not really...actually considered Hidden Falls or Crosby Farm for a bit

goodnight allison, thanks for staying up and noodling!
I don't know. I think in the past there have been hunts where people didn't get to the right park until the very end. Anyway, I'm off to bed now.
good point usual, but I think that a lot of people are just convinced it's there because a lot of people are there, not necessarily because the clues are a good fit, a lot of people tend to follow the herd
at como, found 6 dirty diapers,, then i found a tripoli chip (white) also fliped my pants,,, nothing attached to it though, and i was sad

ok,, like,, the coolercrew site,, and the pioneer press disagree with each other on how many clues different years took...
I was at HI tonight and like 3 people were looking the other 587 were just standing around lots of spcace there that needs to be checked.
well, , im sure we wont know anything tommorow with 11,, so we need a plan for 12... or, it will be anarchy... thats pretty interesting about dunning field though....
wow, so strange you're posting at 3:40 am matthew, because if it was earlier, you'd have everyone here at that park.
ok, so everyone from that forum is at that park!
yesterday as in monday or yesterday as in sunday? guess it doesn't matter, if it was there they didn't look very hard because they would've found it, you'd think

yeah, but 5 of the smartest people.... HA!
when i was at HI,, people were making sand angels,, and my group went their, dispite us nothing thinking its their... my theory now is that its stuck to the underside of someones boot, and they don't know it,, and thats how it has been escaping finding.

shoot man, i gots homework.
SCDs Kitty
it was frozen,, and i didnt personally dig through em,, but i did the laxitives.
this is ridiculous, we are smart people, we should have it nailed by now! if some moron with no button that's never searched before just happens to stumble on it, i've lost faith.
I wanna know what a box of laxatives is doing in a park...wouldn't you leave those at home?
note to self...dark roast coffee at SA has more caffeine than regular coffee...
okay, last call for any intelligent noodling! then we should all go to bed for christ's sake!
Nah.... I think some people would actually use those in a park... and besides.. when hunts get to 10 clues, with only 2 left... believe it or not, there are some ninjas, that purposely go out and drop stuff, just to make people think they've found "it"
