OH no! Sorry, it guess Como has broken Harriett's record. you are correct; so there is a possiblity then that the Med hunters keep repeating over and over the same parks, but new locations.
It looks like we all better start re-thinking how these clues could point to somewhere OTHER than a park. some have already done so, but I haven't heard anyone come up with something convinving yet.
c#1 barbs=thorn st.-c#1 faith be anew= you can see the new dome on the cathedral. c#2 a view of the cap. dome= you can see this also. c#2 our medallion's home= you can see the pp building across the river. c#3 away from the storm= the picnic shelter. c#3 dead of winter= thorn st. is a dead end st. c#4 the coldest star will guide you far=the north side of park. c#4red wht and blue=there are many flags near the park. c#5 ? c#6 where the sun dont shine=its hidden in a tree or under some thing. c#7 rid of the man she ran and ran= the Mississippi. c#7 they say she was a talker= the Mississippi has a larg mouth. c#7 neard the finish with a walker= there is a nursing home across thorn st. c#8 a good time to take a stroll= its on a path. c#8 lure me precious to your soul= gollum in the lord of the rings called the ring precious. = a fire ring ( ring of fire) c#9 heres a who done it = holman feild, sherlock holms. c#9 by playing this greatest of sports = baseball i have not noodeled clue 10 yet. what dose every one think of this.
Im not sure if you can see the 'Capital dome' but I know they have the signs on the street with the picture.
The problem with that is if there's one on Arcade, it's going to be by the golf course, and if there's one on the other side of the lake, well there isn't much park there and I doubt you'd be able to fit many of the clues to it.
At this point, I think Como, Kellogg, and Harriet Island are about the only places you can really fit this last clue to.
Methinks clue#1 says you can see the capitol NOT necisarliy from where the puck is hidden, but that: from where you can see the capitol, NEARBY you should peek, and that's where the medallion is. You may not actually be able to see the dome from the exact spot. tricky
You still haven't ciphered anything out of the clues either? I've torn them apart word by word, letter by letter trying to find a code. I still think there's something in there that's we're missing.
I want to think there's something we're missing. And no, I haven't found it yet. But at some point I also have to wonder just how hard they would make it and still expect that at least some people might get it.
I think it is. I checked under the rail on the riverside of the walk all the way to robert st bridge. If it;s under the rail it will be on the south side of the walk
Is the walkway along the harriett side heading towards hwy 52 bridge all part of HI.
The Lafayette Bridge? That seems like it would be awfully far down to still be part of Harriet. If you're thinking about seeing the Capitol from the other side of downtown, I doubt you'd see the paddleboats from there.

Park at Harriet Island and follow the trail through Harriet Island, west on the trail/street to Lilydale Regional Park and the Big Rivers Regional Trail, and east on the riverfront walkway to the Robert Street Bridge.
have total medallion fever. i dream about it. i can't stop thinking about it. i want to skip work to find it. i'm convincing myself it's in all these obscure places.. and i need to be put away!
I think it was look for doubles in seconds. And that was taking one letter from each clue (or rather each stanza) and it spelled out the page number of the THG that the park was on. I've been wondering if this was really a clue that spanned multiple clues the way that one did and the way the Battle Creek one did, but I haven't noticed anything that jumps out at me.
I did a search for "Carousel" on citysearch and the only place that came up in St. Paul that was near a park was the Carousel at the Radisson. There was also a Carousel furniture place on Snelling by Hamline University.
Good Morning. Just got done sloggin' thru messages from last nite. No freakin' idea where I'm goin' to look tonite. Went to HI last nite--just don't think it's there....it's a gut feeling... On side notes, congrats to Scribe on the cell phone and to lucky Mac, since he ended up with it. Hubby and I went to PP last nite-film crew interviewed us for a bit. He had his jacket with the winter carnival buttons all over it and they filmed us, asked us a couple of questions....pretty cool....
There's nowhere on Harriet Island that I like where all the clues make sense though. Not anymore anyway.
Check Como. I think it's been there 6 times.
plus the 4 times at Cherokee, well that would make it 9 times the Med has been in that same area.
OH no! Sorry, it guess Como has broken Harriett's record. you are correct; so there is a possiblity then that the Med hunters keep repeating over and over the same parks, but new locations.
If they don't give us a clear clue tonight, I'd say it's not in a park.
What is that do-hincky by my name?
It's the atomium.

I meant Med Hiders.....
See you at a park! Good luck, all. MCL
10 wern't good enough for ya?
My faith has been renewed, that's for sure.
People are still all over the place after 10 clues.
They sure stuck it to us this year.
What do all the clues mean if it's not at H.I.?
I'm open to the thought that it could be somewhere else other than H.I., but I don't have a clue where.
The only other place I can fit them all is Kellogg, but I've run out of ideas as to where in that area it could possibly be hidden.
It looks like we all better start re-thinking how these clues could point to somewhere OTHER than a park. some have already done so, but I haven't heard anyone come up with something convinving yet.
I do wish I could come up with something other than Hi

this little tidbit from dictionary.com keeps me solid @ HI, we just have to pinpoint the spot.
gab (aloud with the hunting crowd)
\Gab\, n. [Cf. Gaff.] (Steam Engine)-- all the paddle boats?
The hook on the end of an eccentric rod opposite the strap.

AW
The clues remind me of your first hunt. Doubles in triples? It was something like that. Was it two or three? Any thoughts?
I also checked under the rails of both sides of the steps going up to wabasha
Is the walkway along the harriett side heading towards hwy 52 bridge all part of HI.

QWEST is a possibility, except for that it would fit Kellogg better. hehe

you can't see the capitol though
I beleive you can see the carousel restaurant from HI and Cher.

by all im off to the parks
still think this means go out of the park on a trail.
Neared the finish with a walker.
A walking trail at the end of the park?
The clue writer has got to be laughing his or her ass off!
I think it's in some guys desk at the PP so they can give it to charity this year.
The clue writer has got to be laughing his or her ass off!
I would be if I were the cluewriter.
specially if it's not at HI!
Then again- he'd be doin' a really lousy job if it wasn't there

clue 10
With a car, you don't get far
And a horse would get you nowhere.
But celebrate, it's not too late
For round and round, you'll get there
if you go left on water by car you dont go far. No horses allowed either. but if you go 'ROUND the bridge you get there.
You mean to tell me that it is still out there! Well...I guess I'll just have to go pick it up after work.
well, I think I'll go be the lunatic on the grass again looking fer the dark side of the moon.
What do you expect Mappe Gui, you just dropped it last night!
song title "round and round" singer "perry COMO"
I view of the Capital street sign would do!
btw....good morning all
