So, have we ruled out Eileen Weida? How about the sand box there?

How about Scheffer? Lets all start talking about these parks for a while so we can confuse the lurkers.

not too many folks out there at 12:30 last night (drove that way home from HI)...they were all at the little triangle to the northwest of the rest of the park...no one in the main part of the park

The lurker's! we see you...

It's the ones you can't see that you gotta look out for.

They're leeches I tell ya!

as far as the prarie grass goes- this is straight from the Harriet Island landscapers mouth (Marley met him at the park today)

"Its been 5 years and it was either time to burn them down or rip them out and reseed"

By raking through them we are thinning them out and spreading seed, we are HELPING them! So I don't want to hear anymore "poor prairie grass" comments.

(note: I'm not talking about new seeded areas- only the long prarie grass/wild flowers)

Back from a while of searching at HI, met up with Scribe, I don't think there is a funnier hunter out there. Time to rest for a bit, grab some food and get ready to stand in line at ma press

THX 1138

Why can't you see them?

I'd guess we've had near 1,000 people come in here for the hunt.

How many of those have posted?

150 - 200?

She didn't happen to find her hairbrush or her two lost buttons yet did she?

Nope, didnt find her buttons, but sounds like she really misses them. She did find a pair of pants though

Yeah, she's been losing those all over town.

Sorry to hang around as a lurker ya'll. I signed on a while back and then got stuck working on a couple important emails.

I still think there's a cipher or code to break from clue 5, I just haven't figured it out yet. I think I'll take a break here for awhile and see if I can't solve it. Then I might have somethign worthwhile to post. . .

the 96 hunt was the longest ever...perhaps after the complaining of last year, the writers decided to recreate that long hunt...but do so without us being able to figure out what they were doing

(this is installment #1)

Sounds like a new cooler crew country song.

the clues for each of these years have a reference to the NSP smokestacks. we have not received a direct NSP/Xcel clue (which may support some non-HI-ites) but we have received 2 possible references:

1. clue #3, keep warm, away from the storm...could be about power and heat.

2. many have brought up a possible hockey theme throughout the clues that could be talking about Xcel center = Xcel power.

What are your thoughts frosti?

I'm pretty sold on the long grass behind the playground area. Thats the only place I've REALLY looked.

60 and 66 have cathedral references in their clues....i can't find one in 78 or 96 but i'm doing this really fast.

Dammit, when I see a new post in here, I always dread that it's going to say "It's been found...."

Unless they throw us for a huge loop tonight or tomorrow. I've just been kinda goin with the flow.

Not looking anywhere else. nope, not gonna do it.

LOL Me2! I've heard rumors about you and Ares at Como yesterday ;)

(glad no one was hurt but the light pole and renatal car)

I liked the T intersection of Plato, Water and Ohage streets. The earlier clue of "it's parked between us" works with Justus Ohage. In his first name, what's between us? Jus"T"us.

I walked through those weeds Artemis. I'm hoping it's not like Allison's hunt. I'm still not sold on HI, but maybe tonight's clue will say it's there for sure. Who knows at this point?

So what is exactly going on with "movie night" at PP tonight?

Don't know. BUt I'm on my way home, then to school, and then I'll see you there!

too am sorry to lurk. i'm busy/and or confused.

jester- that is interesting to have pointed out. but I think it's fruitless to tie this years clues to any other. it just hasn't been a run of the mill year!

not run of the mill at all oriongirl. At least from any of my recollections. Which aren't many yet.. Sounds like this year I'll need to bulk up on some riddles and other wordgames.. Somebody today at work mentioned the crueler in "Crueler Crew" and thought it had to do with a bakery :)

Sorry to lurk as well, I'm at work and got lotsa stuff goin on.

No Slim. With today's snow, and me feeling tired, and still not being totally sold, I'm saving energy and waiting for tonight's clue to shed more light on things. Hopefully.

The following is from the official forum. I don't know if it's legit. The phone line says it's still at large.

My co-worker just called and said a woman and her daughter was just now leaving harriet island. she showed it to her and a bunch of other people gathering around. it was buried in the sand near the toys in a large altoid-type tin! not sure if she had a cell phone to call it in yet. I called but it is still officially "not found" so who knows for sure...

24 degrees out there, wow, warm enough to try and hunt, if only I weren't wearing regular shoes... need to go home and get some boots.. but all the favored parks are on my way home...

I like that too but is it Justus or Justice?

Or just a play on his name in general?

Seems unlikely they would really bury it in the sand, and even more unlikely that someone would find it in the sand today after all the people digging in there last night.
