Also, it's not my style usually to do a two step interpretation, but one thought that occured to me about Clue #1 was what if the "crueler crew" that has stung us with their barbs was a reference to the Vikings (either the historical raiders or the football team) which then might lead one to think of Swede Hallow?
I just wonder because if the "us" that the puck is hidden amongst is the same "us" from line 2, and if that "us" isn't referring to the Pioneer Press, that the barbs have stung all of us, not just the paper.
