Heading down to Wild Tymes soon - anyone who wants to hear my clue summary, I'm sharing in person. Tonights clue will either send me into the park early tomorrow AM or spin me round like a record.
hmmm. i think i can match all 5 clues up to coNo without a massive stretch:
1) unleash => the city dog pound
2) god knows we've all tramped plenty of hill and dell at como, and there are plenty of contests of yore (past treasure hunts) at como. tramp may be another reference to the dog pound, and fore a reference to the golf course
3) harbor of impressive arbor = the conservatory, have no fear = we all hate como. the pp knows this. they're telling us not to fear it as much as we do. only thing i don't like is the naturally (unless its in a part of the park in its natural state without view of anything man-made.
4) Hamms falls, hocky mom -oscar johnson hocky rink
5) bower enclosed; again a potential reference to the conservatory or the gates ajar; beasts exposed = the zoo and its outdoor animals.
I'm reading your post getting the earworm spin me round round and I realize Im not just thinking it and reading it...IM REALLY HEARING IT!!! my daughter is playing the remake from Flor Ida right NOW- way weird
This is CRAZY!!! My sis and niece will be joining me in the hunt tonight (My dad had to bow out due to severe leg pain.) They are so certain about my park that they are as determined as I am to find it before sunrise. Now, let's hope tonight's clue works to my advantage. Otherwise, I'm going to feel bad for not only keeping them up late and having to deal with a crazed medallion hunter such as myself but, also, the hour-drive they are making. Of course, they've never witnessed a hunt before so it'll be interesting to show them a bit of the madness. lol Best of luck to everyone!
That is the whole reason that I am searching for the medallion to cover the cost of a real doll! I mean, I am going to invest in solar power. :lipsealed:
I did some rethinking of clues and meanings - and I'm still convinced the clues are full of twists, turns and red herrings...but not yet narrowed down.
This piece got me thinking Cherokee - but someone mentioned
Went out to BC in Maplewood. If it is in the dog park area, that is the most vast yet trampled down area I've ever seen. Terry and Dan couldn't rake that snow.
by the way, from 6:30 to 9:00, I saw no more than 6 cars in BC. So, it is not a lock by popular acclaim anyway. And there are PLENTY of places that are so far into nature you can't see the suburbs from there.
The dog park areas within the orange markers are packed down. Outside of those, not so much. Maplewood side of Battle Creek (East of McKnight) closes 30 minutes after sunset, thus the empty parking lot.
I have to admit, the whole dog park thing is new to me. I have a cat. Named Beulah, for the street that the shelter is on. Now that should be in a clue.
I would be interested to know when that workhouse was last used for a workhouse. Because we grew up in the area, going past that place is as clear in my mind as if it were still there.
But seeing it like that, I realize I'm not at all sure it was being used.
I watched this movie in Iraq... The next day I get a pop-up ad for a paperweight that was just the breast of a Real Doll. I was intrigued to see what kind of doll this was, I thought it bizarre that it had removable body parts.
I had to check it out. I had no choice, and a LOT of time to kill.
I just chuckled a lil when I read your post because I had just made that connection earlier when we drove past it, it's not right "at" Phalen park but close enough and on Phalen Blvd... also a lil copshop across the street from it
I really believe they have been telling us Maplewood so Keller is a great fit and needs serious consideration especially after the County Rd B east noodle.

"up front.... to box"
if you draw a line from Front to Ft. Snelling Cemetary it goes right through Highland and Linwood
Let the real hunt begin!!

Chippewa Water down near Pearson's and that could work too at Highland. http://www.sweetlandmovie.com/about.htm
1. Phalen (or) Keller
2. Cherokee
3. Como
4. Linwood
5. Harriet
6. Highland
7. Swede
8. B.C.
I'm convinced Swede and B.C. are the big red herrings... hopefully we'll get a clearer idea in about an hour though
I don't recall a jail at Phalen. Gillette's Hospital was near there. One building was preserved and is now used by the Minnesota Humanities.
The BCA is right there on the corner
It's the state version of the FBI
When you work at a casino your fingerprints and background check go through there
Thats why I know about it
If it isn't the park, the history is a great read.
How did you ever find this?
