When it comes to grammar, I am kind of an idiot about the specific rules and I teach English. I do think that when you read something out loud and it sounds bad, there is probably something grammatically wrong, and I know how to fix it. However, if you stopped me on the street and told me that you had a dangling participle, I would probably send you to the Urgent Care instead of help you fix your sentence.
