Facebook is the greatest site ever. Well maybe that's a bit over the top, but I'm addicted to it. Not so much for the time waster game and stuff but more for the fact I can find people from college, high school, and grade school I haven't seen for years. Plus the event notification system and privacy protection is far superior to that of MySpace.
I can't believe a CC didn't find it :frown: I thought for sure you guy's had it in the bag this year, you guy's had the park so early! next year!!
Yeah, next year I am just going to show up at the designated park on the 11th clue and look for about an hour. I'll have better luck that way, I guess!
Last night I found a hunk of frozen dirt in the weedy area and tried to break it apart to look inside.... it then dawned on me that it might not be dirt. So I held it up to my sister's face and asked her to sniff it for me.... she declined. So I used my hoe and gave it a huge CHOP... the 2 halves flew in 2 different direction never to be seen again.
Another funny thing from last night- I have a reputation for being quite the clutz. Usually any outdoor activity involves me slipping, tripping, or completely wiping out with some injuries. Last night as we were walking down the trail towards the spring I slipped and my sister got clocked in the head with my hoe handle!
That is hysterical! I was just telling my family at dinner about how I fell down one of the snowy slopes a couple of nights ago-- completely without grace-- and then stood up to try and get readjusted, put my foot on my hoe to hold it steady and got hit by the stick part in the face! Luckily I didn't get a bloody nose or anything. I just walked off, hoping no one noticed...!
cool that they took the time to walk in the spring so that the tracks wouldn't show. maybe the cw really is learning?!?!? if so maybe we can teach them how to line things up and make the hunt fun again?!?!?!
If anyone wanted to get a coolercrew sweatshirt or anything, Embroidme has the coolercrew logo in their files. I know the one in woodbury has used it as recently as this summer. Just ask them for the "Cooler Crew Logo".
I beleive the 1st ones were made at the Lexington location and then more recently in Woodbury. They share the logo between any Embroidme store. Heres some metro locations if anyone is interested.
I thought I had it saved somewhere, but can't find it. It was easy to find when we were at People's Forum. But I'm still looking. I think that "Search" feature over there on the wall only goes back so far.
Aren't they something? The one 40below's talking about is a shot a way away from a crowd of people on a rise and on the side of the hill there is a blue, disk-shaped glow.
I'm still digging for it. I'm on my own little hunt now.
I liked the confessin link. I was wondering how they hid it. On the first day of the hunt there were only footprints on the upper and lower paths, by Box's bench, stone hinge, and the cross path coming down the steps to the tunnel. I could see depressions in the snow from old foot prints, but could not see any going into the center part of the park. That was one reason I kept more close to the paths most of the time.
ok SO ALL LAST NIGHT I kept yelling to go down here!!! and if any one did they wehre RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so MAD!!!
Explantion: Puts hunters in Swede Hollow park on St. Paul's east side. Directs them to a spring that runs across the walking path — when it isn't too cold — and from there, 25 steps toward the double-arches under 7th Street. A large tree is visible in the direction of the creek.
On the "brewery side" of the base of the tree — the side facing the old brewery works — the puck was planted. It's only decoration this year, if it survived the hunt, is a taped-on picture of the Pioneer Press bulldog with its lips painted red.
That st mudd a close second.
and i do have them bookmarked ares, i just fade away...
Have fun tonight ... see ya'll again next year....same clue time ....same clue channel

Well at least I didn't get hurt. :pbpt:
Luckily all this winter clothing creates some padding.

Good luck with school and it was great meeting you at the PDG.
