Say - My apologies for last night if I talked to much on the conference call. My phone's battery is ridiculously sensitive to the cold - I had it buried deep in my coat and digging the thing out to mute it was a real hassle.
I just tested mine and it doesn't float, but it doesn't sink like a rock either. It sounded to me not so much like it was floating as it just bobbed to surface as it was disturbed. After which it probably would have sunk again and taken quite a while to make its way downstream.
I just got a call from 3M. He says the press conferemce just ended and now everyone is heading back to Swede Hollow along with the finders to see where it was. He didn't say if there was a plan after that.
It wasn't hidden in the creek. Most likely someone was digging near the creek and threw their clumps into the creek along with the medallion. There were a few Coolers who saw people doing that.
you would love it if you joined, it's fun shit. besides, having the crew on facebook means i won't be able to disappear and forget about the mock hunts.
I'm with you Ares.. I have myspace, which is sooo much of a time toilet on it's own. I can't imagine having 2 places to waste all my time.. - oops 3 :sheepish:
My wife has been sucked into Facebook. I got into it for the sake of my High School 20th reunion this summer. Now she's mad because I refused to let her sister become my 'friend'. I told her the only people in my group share a diploma that I got 20 years ago, and that is all I want to ever have in there.
I think we all started freezing up, with anticipation...
Why would you hide it so close to open water regardless of how big or small the stream is?
Imagine how mad people would be if it was never recovered and it floated away downstream.
Still, to have it that close doesn't seem like a good idea.
