Marley found the Medallionator Treasure, now its time for someone else to experience the pleasure...
ares
i dunno if i included it in the message i sent ya or not, but you can include me2 in it as well.
jake's hunt was quite fun, and i sure became a lot more involved in it than i expected, and said, that i would. i'm not even gonna limit my committment to marley's hunt. having money in the pot for this one gives something of an incentive to find the sucker :) i do know that given marley's and artemis' penchang for music, we can expect some pretty good clues out of them, too.
The rules are basically the same as the PP hunt (but not the 2002 rules). Its hidden on public property in Ramsey County, search don't destroy, and don't go anywhere you obviously shouldn't be.
You are looking for a medallion aprox. 1 3/4" in size (same size as Allison Wonderland's coin).
the 3-point line on a basketball court sort of qualifies as a circle on a square, and the bases on a baseball diamond wualify as squares on a circle. sort of.
i sure wish i were more familiar with harriet island, cuz i'm not sure where the square on a circle/circle on a square would be. of course, artemis may well have given us a "13th" clue in that the rules are like the pp hunt rules, but not the 2002 rules, which for the first time ever specifically excluded a park, namely harriet. i didn't even catch that until you made mention of harriet.
Well the Irish Fair is going on down on Harriet Island this weekend including a lot of top Irish musicians. So we can expect thousands of people there possibly on both Saturday and Sunday. Personally I'll be there Sunday, possibly all day. I'll let you all know if I find it there.
Come to think of it, there is a flood marker on either the pavilion or the little building where you buy tickets for the riverboats. It's up rather high so you would have to stand tall...
Noodling, noodling, noodling. So good to keep that noodle in shape!

Amonia is capitalized. Hmmmmmmm Naomi with a leftover a? Main ao? I guess I'll have to sleep on that.
Mianoa?
a main o?
a man io?
Artemis - the fire was wonderful and the stars are so clear and plentiful. Gorgeous! Going to take a quick shower to get the bug stuff off and then sit outside and look up and watch for the meteors. They are to be peaking in the next couple of days and it's so clear tonight that I suspect we won't have any trouble seeing some shooting stars.
Ammonia is a colorless gas with a very sharp odor. It dissolves easily in water and evaporates quickly. It is commonly sold in liquid forms (dissolved in water or in pressurized tanks).
The largest amount of ammonia is produced naturally in soil by bacteria, decaying plants and animals, and animal wastes. Ammonia is a key intermediate in the nitrogen cycle and is essential for many biological processes.

I haven't been down to Harriet Island since the remodeling, but it seems to me there's some coin things that folks bought to have imbedded somewhere?
Or there's some circular things in the fencing.
A past marker could be the high water mark from flooding. There used to be one down there...and somehow I assume it's still there in some form.
Name bricks, etched granite and cast medallions are being installed in the center portion of the promenade.
(Those bricks, granite and medallions were sold to raise money for phase 2 of the rehab.)
Click to see a sample of the medallions.

So the noodling has begun!
Allison - The high water marker might be on the pavillion...I just don't recall exactly where it is anymore.
Of course Artemis' remark that the rules are what the PP puts out - except for 2002 - might be a way to get us to the wrong park at first.
We'll need to keep an open mind. Let the clues come together. Go out and pick the thing up!
indeed it may be terry.
my turn to step on your toes?

That's Hillarious me2 :>)
Well ares...less than 2 hours before the next clue. Unless you're out looking now, it doesn't look like you found it on the first clue. :-)
Neither did anyone else from the looks of things here.
I'll probably be late getting the next clue. We're planning a bonfire here tonight.
ya got me on that one, terry :)
We're planning a bonfire here tonight
Sounds like a blast! Hopefully tonight will be clear for good meteor/aurora viewing! I expect a full report :)

<double lucky 7's Joe!>>
Guess what!!! I am at work and I am STILL here for the clue. It's nice being the boss.....
Around our coin

both from California,
and when its hot

and lots of drinking fountains nearby.

Aurora viewing is probably not going to happen tonight. All the indicators are way down.
an aim o
Goodnight! SCDs!!!
not Amonia
Montana oi?
Uff da...time to star gaze.
Terry, I think it's just there because it rhymes with California
Then why is it capitalized? That's not a word that is usually capitalized in the middle of a sentence.
The meteor shower is wonderful to watch...however I've gotten way too sleepy and must hit the sheets here.
Goodnight! SCDs!!!
Sounds like the clue is talking about what the coin is hidden in. I'd say a water bottle, but more likely to be something that looks like garbage.
As for big woods from California...
Hollywood
Tiger Woods (born in CA)
Sequoia Woods
Natalie Wood (worked in CA)
Redwood
James Woods
Elijah Wood
Ed Wood
Those are what I was thinking too AW- but I didn't think if Elijah
BUT funny...Ares didn't know who Natalie was.
oh alright--palinajoesy :) - pair o 8's in the 8th month :)
OK, I am watching my nephew MAX right now, and he's watching Barney (oh joy) and the theme is a 'treasure hunt'! WoW!
just remember, aw. if its gonna be in something that looks like garbage, its gonna have to be well-concealed, else it end up in the garbage.
and i shall call it: mini-joe"
I love you you love me we're a happy family...blah blah blah!
Oooooohhhhhnooooooo not another Joshua tree!
time to go look in four again?
ooooh man! My sister sent this tape over with consecutive Barney videos on it and now its Elmo talking to a man named MR NOODLE!!!!!!!
Now Elmo is dancing with Mr. Noodle!
Ammonia
H3N
What is ammonia?
(Pronounced ah-moan' ya)

its also a key ingredient in the manufacture of meth.
From Barney to meth.
