I spent quite a while today at Harriet Island. Mostly I was listening to the bands, but I did look around a bit. I found the high water marker on the building where they sell the riverboat tickets, and there were some squares and circles around, but nothing that really sounded like what was mentioned in the clue. Certainly not anything where a treasure could be hidden if the squares and circles were referring to the ones on and near the sidewalk there.
There may well be more in these clues to ponder yet, but haven't had much time yet.
Sounds like a code phrase for referencing what it's hidden in. Still, it could conceivably mean that the two big woods are around the general area of the coin.
Obviously the two big woods do not not refer to groups of trees near the treasure, as any group of trees near the treasure would necessarily be from Minnesota, not California.
It seems unlikely that the clue is referring to the coin being hidden in something wooden. Even if it was in say a chest made of California redwood, I wouldn't really call that a "big wood". I do see some sort of park like place on the map on Holly St. Not sure what it is though.
could be either, aw. and honestly right now, i'd say its definitely one of them, but which one, i haven't the foggiest idea. i'm with you all the way on the clue not referring to groups of trees.
last night-speaking of neon which I was gonna tell today anyhow ...
I was driving late last night way out north on Rice St before 694 and I past this chinese? restaurant part of the neon was out... it said something like FU CING BUFF
I am not kidding in neon red! I know it was somekind of Buffet!
for goodness sake that could be a red neon sign in a gas station window for all we know-or a beer logo "land of sky blue waters" at a bar near by -oh heck-near a bar? whawho!
Sounds like the downtown is visible from the park. That could include a fairly good number of 'em. Cherokee, Indian Mounds, Harriet Island, Kellogg, Mears, that one on Jackson by Mt. Airy Housing, and tons of little neighborhood parks.
"From the Land of Sky Blue Waters (Waters), Â Â From the land of pines, lofty balsam, Â Â Comes the beer refreshing, Â Â Hamm's the Beer Refreshing". Â Â Â Â Â (da-da-dum-dum-dum)
OK-way too funny! Ares and I bet you could see the #1 go around (he thought 3 times I thought 4) ---so all I had to do was jump in my neighbors yard and see it! Clear! WoW! -it goes 3 times and I owe ares lunch. but that was way cool :)
because you only see one at a time-so to see more than one angle maybe makes the clue complete --you need to see something with more than one 1- hence the #1
JOE
Palina Joesy :)
ya never know where a good noodle may go, kids.
A good noodle may go a long way?
oh, my
H2O not H3N...now there's something else to noodle.

So "Around our coin"...

I think Holly St. also runs into Summit Overlook park. Not sure what the other big wood would be or how any of the other clues might tie into that.
could be either, aw. and honestly right now, i'd say its definitely one of them, but which one, i haven't the foggiest idea. i'm with you all the way on the clue not referring to groups of trees.
Flashy red neon
in sky blue,
to see more than one
is half the clue.
What, nobody wants this Joe? ;)
|:{)
i don't want it, art, but you may have just made thx or me2 mad :)
not neccesarily in the sky but the color sky blue
looks to me like there's gonna be a big red one visible somewhere. but, something else in neon's got to be seen too.
sorry, I waited and waited and waited...but it kept taunting me!
BBL
I thought of that park earlier today AW-good thinking :) --it is very small

It could be the capital mall too.
Interesting clues thus far. Lots to noodle.
ok what about the obvious part that we're not noodling here. "to see more than one is half the clue".
I think that's the Fu Xing Buffet Me2. I've had food from there before.
oh your right it was an X not a C but sounds the same for the same reason!
We're going to take a bit of a ride. I'm going to check out the downtown skyline while we're at it. BBL
Enjoy the evening out :)
So, I wonder if this clue was written at night at some 'necking park' or just assumed during the day? hmmmmmm
enjoy the ride, terry.
we're noodlin'
all I have to say is.....
;)
Duh, the 1st National Bank sign! Should have thought of that earlier.
"From the Land of Sky Blue Waters (Waters),
From the land of pines, lofty balsam,
  Comes the beer refreshing,
  Hamm's the Beer Refreshing".
     (da-da-dum-dum-dum)
Duh! :) dang it AW, your throwing off my 'sky blue' cover!

So-now everyone knows :)
:: pucturing me2 jumping in her neighbor's yard ::
ok, now where is the cheapest lunch? Taco Bell
I still wonder why it's only half the clue?
White Castle?
how ever did i know i was gonna get the cheapest lunch :)
because you only see one at a time-so to see more than one angle maybe makes the clue complete --you need to see something with more than one 1- hence the #1
OR to see more than one -could be 3 = 3M
and you'll actually see two of them if you're not looking directly at one of the faces.they just won't be lit simultaneously.
OR....well it could be-if you see more than one which would be 2 then if thats 1/2 you would need to seeeee 4
BOOOOOOO! Did I scare you KIDS? get back here!
I know I know, you could never be scared by such a beautiful face :)
Who says I got up as high as your face?
ooooohhhh wow-::mouth drops open:: Is this what your looking for? ;)
oooh-you didnt get UP to... MY eyes...scooby snacks for you!
is that supposed to be an incentive for him to get up to your eyes?
