Smart Ass!

I have 1 of 5 day employees show up. If that same ratio holds true for nights I'll have 8 of 40. It's going to be a busy day and night for sure. Looks like I picked a bad day to be hung over. :frown: :eyeroll:

Hope things work out for ya in the end.

Yeah, it sucks. Plus I have my building managers coming down on me to have a plan in place before my crew even shows up. WTF? Am I supposed to be able to see the future or something? I'll figure it out 5 minutes after they are supposed to show up. :frown:

Did that come out around 1991-1992 or so? I think I had it at some point... I traded my gameboy to someone for some Slayer double album when I was in either Basic Training or AIT.

I love this CD.... every song gets better, every time I listen to it...

Arctic Monkeys - Fake Tales Of San Francisco

Fake Tales of San Francisco

Echo through the room

More point to a wedding disco

Without a bride or groom

There's a super cool band yeah

With their trilbys and their glasses of white wine

And all the weekend rock stars in the toilets

Practicing their lines

I don't want to hear you

(Kick me out, kick me out)

I don't want to hear you no

(Kick me out, kick me out)

Fake Tales of San Francisco

Echo through the air

And there's a few bored faces in the back

All wishing they weren't there

And as the microphone squeaks

A young girl's telephone beeps

Yeah she's dashing for the exit

she's running to the streets outside

"Oh you've saved me," she screams down the line

"The band werenÂ’t very good

And I'm not having a nice time”

Yeah but his bird thinks it's amazing, though

So all that's left

Is the proof that love's not only blind but deaf

He talks of San Francisco, he's from Hunter's Bar

I don't quite know the distance

But I'm sure that's far

I'm sure that's pretty far

I'd love to tell you all my problem

You're not from New York City, you're from Rotherham

So get off the bandwagon, and put down the handbook

Get off the bandwagon and put down the handbook

Just seen this video. Talk about a cool memory of all the heavy hitters back then.

Hear 'N Aid: Stars

Ronnie James Dio (Dio):

Who cries for the children?

I do

Dave Meniketti (Y&T):

Some time in the night

When you're feeling the cold

Ronnie James Dio:

Take a look at the sky above you

Rob Halford (Judas Priest):

Those are faces in the light

If the story were told

Ronnie James Dio:

They are calling you, calling you

Yeah

We are magic in the night

Kevin DuBrow (Quiet Riot):

We are shadow, we are light

Dave Meniketti:

We are forever you and I

Chorus (vocal lead: Rob Halford):

We're stars

We're stars

Eric Bloom (Blue Oyster Cult):

We can be strong

We are fire and stone

Paul Shortino (Quiet Riot, Rough Cutt):

And we all want to touch a rainbow

Geoff Tate (Queensryche):

But singers and songs

Will never change it alone

We are calling you, calling you

Don Dokken (Dokken):

We're the beating of a heart

The beginning we're the start

Paul Shortino:

Forever we will shine

Yeah

Chorus (vocal leads: Paul Shortino, Don Dokken, Ronnie James Dio, Geoff Tate):

We're stars

We're stars

We're stars

We're stars

Guitar solos:

1st solo: Craig Goldie/Eddie Ojeda

2nd solo: Vivian Campbell/Brad Gillis

3rd solo: Neal Schon/George Lynch

4th solo: Yngwie Malmsteen/Vivian Campbell

5th solo: George Lynch/Carlos Cavazo

6th solo: Brad Gillis/Craig Goldie/Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser

Kevin DuBrow:

We are magic in the night

Rob Halford:

We are shadow, we are light

Geoff Tate:

We are forever you and I

Chorus (vocal leads: Dave Meniketti, Eric Bloom, Rob Halford)

We're stars

We're stars

We're stars

We're stars

We're stars, yeah

We're stars

We are shadow, we are light

We're stars

We are magic in the night

We're stars, oh yeah

We're stars

We're stars

We are magic in the night

We're stars

We are shadow, we are light

We're stars

We're stars

We're stars

We're the magic

We're stars

We're stars

We're the beating of a heart

We're stars

Forever we will shine

We're stars

We're stars

I remember back when Antichrist Superstar came out.... man... there was nothing like it... that first year, Manson played at Ozzfest over in Somerset, and the town banned him (or tried to) from showin up, but he did it anyways..... god that was sweet....

we were over there for that town protest against him too.... those Somerset folks were ANGRY!

personally I like Mechanical Animals the most of his collection....

Marilyn Manson - "I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me)"

Norm life baby "we're white and oh so hetero and our sex is missionary."

Norm life baby "we're quitters and we're sober our confessions will be televised."

You and I are underdosed and we're ready to fall

Raised to be stupid, taught to be nothing at all

I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me

I don't like the drugs, the drugs, the drugs

Norm life baby "our god is white and unforgiving we're piss tested and we're praying."

Norm life baby "I'm just a sample of a soul made to look just like a human being."

Norm life baby "we're rehabbed and we're ready for our 15 minutes of shame."

Norm life baby "we're talkshown and we're poiting just like christians at a suicide."

You and I are underdosed and we're ready to fall

Raised to be stupid, taught to be nothing at all

I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me

I don't like the drugs, the drugs, the drugs

I seen him at the dome when Ozzfest was moved there because of the ban in Somerset. I'm sure the old coots over there figured out real fast just how much that concert brings to their little community. Seeing Ozzfest at the dome on a beautiful summer day sucked to a point. The show was good though.

ahh yes.... that was ban number 2, because of him... I forget all about that one...mostly because that year sucked so much... trying to figure out what to do about camping - do we just go home after the show, or do we head back to Wisconsin?

SAVING JANE LYRICS

"Happy"

Filling up my empty days with red wine

Wonder what you think of me?

Lying in the grass alone and wasted

Nothing's how it used to be

I wanna be the first to call and tell you

Yesterday I heard the news

I hear you oughtta be congratulated

So I guess that's what I'll do

I'm so happy for you

I could cry

Yeah, I'm so elated

Cross my heart and hope to die

I don't think about you every night

Before I close my eyes

I'm so happy for you baby,

I could cry.

Listen to the sound of my head pounding

Wish that it was make-believe

Praying for the skies to open up and

Wash away your memory

I can walk around with a pretty face on

Even when I'm black and blue

What's the point in telling everybody

I'm not over you.

I'm so happy for you

I could cry

Yeah, I'm so elated

Cross my heart and hope to die

I don't think about you every night

Before I close my eyes

I'm so happy for you baby,

I could cry.

Cry about the love we used to have

Cry that I won't ever get you back

Filling up my empty days with red wine

Wonder what you think of me?

I'm so happy for you

I could cry

Yeah, I'm so elated

Cross my heart and hope to die

I'm so happy for you

So, so happy for you

I don't think about you every night

Before I close my eyes

I'm so happy for you baby,

I could cry.

Sing a sad song

In a lonely place

Try to put a word in for me

ItÂ’s been so long

Since I found this place

You better put in two or three

We as people, are just walking Â’round

Our heads are firmly fixed in the ground

What we donÂ’t see

Well it canÂ’t be real

What we donÂ’t touch we cannot feel

Where weÂ’re living in this town

The sun is coming up and itÂ’s going down

But itÂ’s all just the same at the end of the day

And we cheat and we lie

Nobody says itÂ’s wrong

So we donÂ’t ask why

Cause itÂ’s all just the same at the end of the day

WeÂ’re throwing it all away

WeÂ’re throwing it all away

WeÂ’re throwing it all away at the end of the day

If you need it

Something I can give

I know IÂ’d help you if I can

If your honest and you say that you did

You know that I would give you my hand

Or a sad song

In a lonely place

IÂ’ll try to put a word in for you

Need a shoulder? well if thatÂ’s the case

You know thereÂ’s nothing I wouldnÂ’t do

Where weÂ’re living in this town

The sun is coming up and itÂ’s going down

But itÂ’s all just the same at the end of the day

When we cheat and we lie

Nobody says itÂ’s wrong

So we donÂ’t ask why

Cause itÂ’s all just the same at the end of the day

DonÂ’t throw it all away

DonÂ’t throw it all away

DonÂ’t throw it all away

DonÂ’t throw it all away

Throwing it all away

Throwing it all away

Throwing it all away

Throwing it all away

Throwing it all away

YouÂ’re throwing it all away at the end of the day

Did you see me? I was there with my wife (to be, then)... I was about 5'10", 180 pounds or so, good looking... Umm, I wasn't on the ground floor...

I think that was the first Ozzfest, wasn't it? In 1997?

I just remember Fear Factory pounding in over some lame band that wouldn't get off the small stage. They were both playing at the same time for a bit but the sheer decibels of FF blew those little guys away. Drain was pretty good too. MM was great as usual of course. Lotsa freaks at that one. Were you one of them?

Other than Pantera (who I went to see, but had to leave after 3 songs), And Manson (who you couldn't forget because of the news - and I didn't get to see them anyway), the only band I remember was Machine Head... And nothing more of them other than I liked them then... Maybe I had a contact high, I really don't remember much of it at all...

I always thought this tune would have been even cooler if it was metaled up. I wonder if the guys did it together?

Well it's 40 below and I don't give a fuck,

Got a heater in my truck and I'm off to the rodeo

It's an alla man left and alla man right

Come on you fuckin' dummy get your right step right

Get off stage you god damn goof you know

You piss me off, you fuckin' jerk

You get on my nerves

Here comes Johnny with his pecker in his hand,

He's a one ball man and he's off to the rodeo

It's an alla man left and alla man right

Come on you fuckin' dummy get your right step right

Get off stage you god damn goof you know

You piss me off, you fuckin' jerk

You get on my nerves

Well it's 40 below and I ain't got a truck

and I don't give a fuck 'cause I'm off to the rodeo

Where it's an alla man left and alla man right

Come on you fuckin' dummy get your right step right

Get off stage you god damn goof you know

You piss me off, you fuckin' jerk

You get on my nervs

Here comes Johnny with his pecker in his hand,

He's a one ball man and he's off to the rodeo

It's an alla man left and alla man right

Come on you fuckin' dummy get your right step right

Get off stage you god damn goof you know

And to put you in a happy place...

Blasting our way through the boundaries of Hell

No one can stop us tonight

We take on the world with hatred inside

Mayhem the reason we fight

Surviving the slaughters and killing we've lost

Then we return from the dead

Attacking once more now with twice as much strength

We conquer then move on ahead

[Chorus:]

Evil

My words defy

Evil

Has no disguise

Evil

Will take your soul

Evil

My wrath unfolds

Satan our master in evil mayhem

Guides us with every first step

Our axes are growing with power and fury

Soon there'll be nothingness left

Midnight has come and the leathers strapped on

Evil is at our command

We clash with God's angel and conquer new souls

Consuming all that we can

Classic! I just ripped that onto my computer before we left Ft Hood (Thank you bear-share!) to go to Ft Irwin for our final, final, final train-up before we went overseas. I went on advance to set up stuff, we were there for a week before the rest of the Brigade came, and we were done with our stuff after about 5 hours or so.

That song was a daily staple when we had power to plug in our stuff...

that first pic, I guarantee, we're probably right infront of the left side of that main-stage..... thats where we were, almost the entire time.... me, steve, his cousin sam, a couple friends - Ryan, Shawn, Peter, and Chris.....

when you've got that many people together, and you all walk - with force, in a straight line, through a crowd? Well... people have a tendancy to move out of your way.
