lmao... I for one, can say that Ive never had a mullet...

Although back in the day, I used to get the Vanilla Ice style lines, shaved into the sides of my head.... I was the coolest dude in gradeschool, man.... what happened to me?

Man.. they were super rad back then.... add some of those sunglasses with the big square lenses on them, and maybe some Zubas...whooo.... you were stylin...

Love4Vino

yes. back then.. but times (and fashion) change.. and should change - quickly in the case of things like zuba (I had a pink/black pair) and pegged pants, and acid washed jeans.

Wicked Nick

I had like 10 pairs of Zuba's.... my grandma made them for everyone, better than the kind you could get at the store.

What's with nobody having them now??? I would still be all shaggy looking if work would alow it.

but times (and fashion) change.. and should change - quickly in the case of things like zuba (I had a pink/black pair) and pegged pants, and acid washed jeans.

Okay, you can have the Zubas... but give me some shredded, acid-washed jeans anyday! (My outfits still live in the '80's) In fact, I think until a month or so ago when I felt forced to remove a lot of my clothing from the house, about half of my wardrobe consisted of items manufactured in the '80's... I know the majority of my cassettes, cd's and LP's were from the 80's... I found my decade and I am not letting go of it.

I love the 80's - the music was fantastic.

however the fashion - should be allowed to die it's death.

and one of the big wigs here at work.. had a TOTAL mullet. *shudders*

I almost choked on a mint the other day, I was in traffic and I saw a guy getting out of his firebird at the Kragen - he looke like Garth from Wayne's World. Complete with Metal T-shirt.

Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory

I wake up in the morning

And I raise my weary head

I've got an old coat for a pillow

And the earth was last night's bed

I don't know where I'm going

Only God knows where I've been

I'm a devil on the run

A six gun lover

A candle in the wind, Yeah!

When you're brought into this world

They say you're born in sin

Well at least they gave me something

I didn't have to steal or have to win

Well they tell me that I'm wanted

Yeah I'm a wanted man

I'm colt in your stable

I'm what Cain was to Abel

Mister catch me if you can

I'm going down in a blaze of glory

Take me now but know the truth

I'm going down in a blaze of glory

Lord I never drew first

But I drew first blood

I'm no one's son

Call me young gun

You ask about my consience

And I offer you my soul

You ask If I'll grow to be a wise man

Well, I ask if I'll grow old

You ask me if I've known love

And what it's like to sing songs in the rain

Well, I've seen love come

And I've seen it shot down

I've seen it die in vain

Shot down in a blaze of glory

Take me now but know the truth

'Cause I'm going down in a blaze of glory

Lord I never drew first

But I drew first blood

I'm the devil's son

Call me young gun

Each night I go to bed

I pray the Lord my soul to keep

No I ain't looking for forgiveness

But before I'm six foot deep

Lord, I got to ask a favor

And I hope you'll understand

'Cause I've lived life to the fullest

Let this boy die like a man

Staring down the bullet

Let me make my final stand

Shot down in a blaze of glory

Take me now but know the truth

I'm going out in a blaze of glory

Lord I never drew first

But I drew first blood

and I'm no one's son

Call me young gun

I'm a young gun

This has been in my head a while, have to drop it off. Sorry if I stick it in your head. All day.

Far away

In a land caught between

Time and space

Where the books of life lay

We fear

This castle of stone

The mountain king roams

All alone in here

But he's not the only one

Lost inside

Forever hidden from the sun

Madness reigns

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Oh yeah

His deep

Dark eyes

Keep watch on his kingdom

And the mysteries that sleeps safe inside

His hall

His towers of stone

Shall not be overthrown

For eternity

It is guarded by the king

Insanity and the power that it brings

Madness reigns

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Oh yeah

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Come with me

Stay close by my side

As the darkness of night closes in

Don't fear

In the thunder, it roars

When the Mountain King calls all his children home

To where I hid him we must run

Refuge(?) here but I was forever on the run

Madness reigns

[my friends]

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Oh yeah

In the Hall of the Mountain King

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

the future king of late-night - Conan O'brien is live all this week from Chicago, starting with last nights show....

I love when he takes the show on the road like that.... tried to get tickets for one of the ones out there, but they went FAST...

anywho, these guys performed this one, last night...

Cheap Trick - Surrender

Mother told me, yes, she told me I'd meet girls like you.

She also told me, "Stay away, you'll never know what you'll catch."

Well just the other day I heard a soldier falling off

some Indonesian junk that's going round.

Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird.

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay.

Father says, "Your mother's right, she's really up on things."

"Before we married, Mommy served in the WACS in the Philippines."

Now, I had heard the WACS recruited old maids for the war.

But mommy isn't one of those, I've known her all these years.

Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird.

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay.

Whatever happened to all this season's losers of the year?

Every time I got to thinking, where'd they disappear?

When I woke up, Mom and Dad were rolling on the couch.

Rolling numbers, rock and rolling, got my Kiss records out.

Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird.

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay.

Away.

Away.

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away

Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright

Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay

Nirvana - Sliver

Mom and dad went to a show

They dropped me off at Grandpa Joe's

I kicked and screamed, said please, but no,

Gramma Take Me Home (x8)

Had to eat my dinner there

Mashed potatos and stuff like that

I couldn't chew my meat too good

Gramma Take Me Home (x8)

She Said, why don't you stop your crying

Go outside and ride your bike

Thats what I did, I killed my toes

Gramma Take Me Home (x8)

I wanna be alone

After dinner i had ice cream

I fell asleep and watched TV

I woke up in my mothers arms

Gramma Take Me Home(x8)

Great job Digs! He was actually selling Cheap Trick tickets which is what made me think of him. I used to scalp tickets all the time. Made some pretty good $ on it too.

He was also the guy who said that if you want to get a girl in bed to put on side 2 of Zep 4. Then they cut away to the kid driving in his car listening to Kashmir which everyone knows is actually towards the end of track 2 on the Physical Graffiti 8-track.  I have all 5 formats of that album.

I think it's the only album I do have a formats of now that I think of it. huh

Youve got a cute way of talking

You got the better of me

Just snap your fingers and Im walking

Like a dog hanging on your lead

Im in a spin you know

Shaking on a string you know

You make me feel like dancing

Im gonna dance the night away

You make me feel like dancing

Im gonna dance the night away

You make feel like dancing

I feel like dancing dancing dance the night away

I feel like dancing dancing ahhh

Quarter to four in the morning

I aint feeling tired no no no no no

Just hold me tight and leave on the light

Cause I dont want to go home

You put a spell on me

Im right where you want me to be

You make me feel like dancing

I want to dance the night away

You make me feel like dancing

Im gonna dance the night away

You make feel like dancing

I feel like dancing dancing dance the night away

I feel like dancing dancing

You take me higher

Im gonna catch on fire cause

You make me feel like dancing I wanna dance the night away

You make me feel like dancing Im gonna dance my life away

I feel like dancing dancing dance the night away

I feel like dancing dancing dance the night away

I feel like dancing dancing dance the night away

I feel like dancing dancing ahhh

You really slipped me a potion

I cant get off of the floor

All this perpetual motion

You gotta give me some more

You gotta give me some more

And if youll let me stay well dance our lives away

You make me feel like dancing I wanna dance my life away

You make me feel like dancing I wanna dance my life away

You make me feel like dancing I wanna dance my life away

I feel

You make me feel like dancing

I have Metallica's black album in 5 formats as well. But instead of 8-track I have it in DVD-5.1 audio. The record is still sealed. I think it's the last one I bought.

I love buying records.... half priced books is good for cheap ones, I usually either hit that place, or Cheapo on Snelling.... not alotta people actually go into the record part of that one, for whatever reason, so sometimes you come out with a stack of stuff.....

vital vinyl is nice too

I gotta stop buying them though... atleast for a while... the needle on my record player is messed up :frown:

my theme song :frown:

Saliva - Rest In Pieces

Look at me

My depth perception must be off again

Cuz this hurts deeper than I thought it did

It has not healed with time

It just shot down my spine

You look so beautiful tonight

Reminds me how you layed us down, and gently smiled

Before you destroyed my life

Would you find it in your heart

To make this go away

And let me rest in pieces

Would you find it in your heart

To make this go away

And let me rest in pieces

Look at me

My depth perception be off again

You got much closer than I thought you did

I'm in your reach

You held me in your hand

Would you find it in your heart

To make this go away

And let me rest in pieces

Would you find it in your heart

To make this go away

And let me rest in pieces

My Theme Song ... from White Trash with Money

 :eyeroll: :pbpt: :goofy:

Yeah the big boss man, he likes to crack that whip

I ain't nothing but a number on his timecard slip,

I give him 40 hours and a piece of my soul,

Puts me somewhere at the bottom of his totem pole,

Hell I don't even think he knows my name...

(Chorus)

Well all week long I'm a real nobody,

But I just punched out and its paycheck Friday,

Weekends here, good God almighty,

I'm going to get drunk and be somebody

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

My baby cuts hair at a beauty boutique,

Just blowin' and goin' till she dead on her feet,

They walk right in and sit right down,

She gives them what they want and then she spins them around,

Hey I don't think they even know her name...

(Chorus)

All week long she's a real nobody,

but I just picked her up and its paycheck Friday,

Weekends here, good God almighty,

Baby lets get drunk and be somebody

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

Well just average people, in an everyday bar,

driving from work in our ordinary cars,

and I like to come here with the regular Joes,

drink all you want, be the star of the star

of the show

(Chorus)

All week long bunch of real nobodies,

but we just punched out and its paycheck Friday,

Weekends here, good God almighty,

People lets get drunk (lets get drunk!)

All week long we're some real nobodies,

but we just punched out and its paycheck Friday,

Weekends here, good God almighty,

People lets get drunk and be somebody

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

This is semi-related to the thread... sorta

If you enjoy getting pissed off about the closed-mindedness of people who take things at face value and make wild interpretations to feel better for themselves, watch the Discovery Channels documentary(?) "Death Metal Music". It tries to tie together Death Metal music and people in Satanic cults... Reminds me of Geraldo. Except that Discovery Channel is respected.

Okay, on to your daily lives, just had to vent that somewhere.

Spent my days with a woman unkind, Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine.

Made up my mind to make a new start, Going To California with an aching in my heart.

Someone told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.

Took my chances on a big jet plane, never let them tell you that they're all the same.

The sea was red and the sky was grey, wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today.

The mountains and the canyons started to tremble and shake

as the children of the sun began to awake.

Seems that the wrath of the Gods

Got a punch on the nose and it started to flow;

I think I might be sinking.

Throw me a line if I reach it in time

I'll meet you up there where the path

Runs straight and high.

To find a queen without a king,

They say she plays guitar and cries and sings... la la la

Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn

Tryin' to find a woman who's never, never, never been born.

Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams,

Telling myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems.

And here's another romantic ditty by the Misfits:

I got something to say

I killed your baby today

And it doesnÂ’t matter much to me

As long as itÂ’s dead

Well I got something to say

I raped your mother today

And it doesnÂ’t matter much to me

As long as she spread

Sweet lovely death

I am waiting for your breath

Come sweet death, one last caress

Go

Sweet lovely death

I am waiting for your breath

Come sweet death, one last caress

Well, I got something to say

I killed your baby today

And it doesnÂ’t matter much to me

As long as itÂ’s dead

Sweet lovely death

I am waiting for your breath

Come sweet death

One last caress

One last caress, sweet death

One last caress, sweet death

Oh oh oh oh oh

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Oh oh

From someone I once knew

I got a letter this morning

Postmark said it was from Spain

Your writing is so very strange

I guess it always was that way

KITCH

Artist/Band: Jamie O Neal

Lyrics for Song: Somebody's Hero

Lyrics for Album: Brave

She's never pulled anyone from a burning building

She's never rocked Central Park to a half a million fans, screaming out her name

She's never hit a shot to win the game

She's never left her footprints on the moon

She's never made a solo hot air balloon ride, around the world,

No, she's just your everyday average girl (but)

She's somebody's hero

A hero to her baby with a skinned up knee

A little kiss is all she needs

The keeper of the cheerios

The voice that brings Snow White to life

Bedtime stories every night

And that smile lets her know

She's somebody's hero

She didn't get a check every week like a nine-to fiver

But she's been a waiter, and a cook and a taxi driver

For twenty years, there at home, until the day her girl was grown

Giving all her love to her was her life's ambition

But now her baby's movin' on, and she'll soon be missin' her

But not today, those are tears of joy runnin' down her face

She's somebody's hero

A hero to her daughter in her wedding dress

She gave her wings to leave the nest

It hurts to let her baby go down the aisle she walks right by

Looks back into her mother's eyes

And that smile lets her know

She's somebody's hero

Thirty years have flown right past

Her daughters' starin' at all the photographs

Of her mother, and she wishes she could be like that

Oh, but she already is

She's somebody's hero

A hero to her mother in a rockin' chair

She runs a brush through her silver hair

The envy of the nursing home

She drops by every afternoon

Feeds her mama with a spoon

And that smile lets her know

Her mother's smile lets her know

She's somebody's hero

for all the mom's
