I called them today to ask a question about my bill, and they totally hooked me up, back dated a bunch of stuff - waved a ton of pix message overage charges (my phone wasn't working, so I had to send myself pix so I wouldn't lose them) and bunches of other stuff. They are even going to follow up at the end of the month to make sure the new plan is the right # of min / txt msgs for me.
apparently I went through 700 and something txt last month...
myself and a friend, telling her younger sister - who's going to be a sophmore next year, about the tunnels under JHS, and having her be totally amazed at what she learned....
 ahhhh yes.... the corruption of the youth..... :goofy:
my grandpa knew the guy that opened it up... they used to run together in the same little east-side mafia kliq, before my grandma married him and tamed him....
Thanks... its even better, because I forgot that I submitted it until I recieved the letter just now, telling me that I won....
they're going to include it in some book they plan on releasing within the next 2 years.... it'll mark the 3rd time I've had a piece of my work printed in a book...
I used to buy hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of pizzas from Savoys for our work parties. One ended up with a melted tack in it. Redd said that he'd give me one for 1/2 price because of it. I about gagged! He then said he'd give me a free pizza if I bought one for my troubles. Needless to say, I never bought one pizza from him ever again. Cossettas made a mint on us after that incident.
He may be the best but.... half off one pizza??? For a tack in a pizza? Come on that is insulting, especially when you're giving them that kind of business. People have sued for less than that. They're lucky nobody got injured.
The Post office was going to order pizzas from them for employee appreciation day, but they weren't going to stay open late for the night shift so they went with Villa Roma instead. I guarentee you that they lost thousands of dollars for that move.
I hear ya tates. Each time we made an order it was over $400. We would have a party once and sometimes twice a month. Plus, working for an insurance company, the suing thing was what everyone said we should do. I thought it would look bad and would create a bad taste (pardon the pun) between downtown neighbors.
I love watching them make the pizza at Cossetta's too... they toss the dough up in the air, just like in all those old movies and crap....
I remember back when I was little, I was there with my mom, and one of the workers was yelled at, because he was throwing the dough so high, it was almost hitting the ceiling fans.... and anybody thats been there, knows - thats tossing it pretty high....
and how they still have the pop in the oldschool glass bottles....
dang....I'm hungry now...
I think I know where i'm going for dinner tonight...
we just had Savoys the other night -with leftovers for 3 days --tons of cheese mmmmmmmm
I almost called you for lunch today bear, but jake inticed me over to his new apartment instead  - I know I will be spending quite a bit of time there this year.
I have actually experienced the guys at cosettas tossing the pizza dough too high. It hit the ceiling fan, spun around in a half circle and landed on top of that half wall across from the counters. Guy had to walk out there from the stairs to pick it up.
Maybe that's where the dough gets the extra flavor... heh.
I'm actually putting that on my calendar - maybe I won't work that day since there isn't a Caribou down here near by. :frown:
you guys are funny- I will post pics of the new view soon.
things I enjoy: golfing, sunshine, golfing, more sunshine, poker, getting a tan, rock climbing, getting tanner, disc golfing, more sunshine  --got 18 holes out at Phalen today, 18 last week in WBL
If somebody drove past you in a grey car, on any of the holes nearest to the rec-center, and yelled "WHOOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!" or "MIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!"... that was me, and i'm sorry if i screwed up your shot.
Its a habit i've had since I was a little kid... if there are golfers next to the road, I have to yell at them.
Oh. Well, just so you know, there's a clump of trees that protects golfers along that hole so that you can't really hear anything when people drive by and do that. But if you need to howl at the moon like that, more power to you.
in the rain....and them thinking it was a blast cuz mom and dad's had to sit in the rain and watch!

Watch out for the pick
And keep an eye on defense
Gotta run the give and go
And take the ball to the hole
But don't be afraid
To shoot the outside "J"
Just keep ya head in the game
Just keep ya head in the game
And don't be afraid
To shoot the outside "J"
Just keep ya head in the game

'Cause when we get it
Then the crowd will go wild
A second chance
