Finding this Vineyard Vixen Halloween costume on line tonight, and finding out the shipping to get it here for my party on Saturday night is almost 2wice the cost of the stupid costume. :frown:

needless to say, I will be a vineyard vixen NEXT year. also, the Rainbow Bright Costume I wanted, got tried on today - the largest size, isn't a dress on me - it's more like a shirt. and not a long shirt at that.

yeah, but none of the stupid things fit. they are cut as short as a shirt. My butt hangs out and most of them don't want to zip (I blame my boobs) by like 2" at the top. grrr.

if all fails I have a fab - naughty school girl costume I can wear, but I'm gonna give this costume thing a try. I made a belle from beauty and the beast about 10 years ago & all for of the Telly Tubbies once. If I can do that, I can make a little dress that covers my butt.

I'm not sure how she came to be prez. I guess we all figued she couldn't *F* it up too badly.

We were wrong. I am skipping yet another one of her meetings tonight, because I don't want to be tortured for 3 hours of having to listen to her. (the meets are supposed to be under 2, mine were like an hour and a half and that included dinner break)

She's condocending, obsessive, controlling, snotty, and her humor is hurtful to many of the members as is her snide comments when people disagree with her way of doing things.

Apparently I'm not the only one who feels this way, current attendance at her meetings is around 18 members (membership is around 50) my attendance averages were about 35 members per meeting.

I'd rather go to a Billy Graham Revival than sit through one of her meetings. Luckily after tonight there are only 3 left.

Just like I thought last evening. I hate talking to tech support. Nothing like being belittled about a software update. "Who gave you that script to run?" "Umm.. you did" "Well why did you run it?" "You told me to" "Well don't run it, do it this way now" "Okay...."

having to miss 4 or possibly 5 bad ass halloween parties this weekend...

two of which I've spent the past 2 and a half months helping to plan, one of which is being described as a "once-in-a-lifetime, legendary" deal (atleast thats what the flyers that we made, say)

- a halloween party mixed together with one friends surprise birthday party, and another friend who's moving to California - "going away party" (those two friends havent even seen eachother in close to 5 years)

 the 3 of us that are planning it, have gotten 250+ confirmations from people who plan to attend....(and also, we've had to switch locations 3 different times) and thats not counting the numerous new e-mails that I have in my Gmail-Inbox

the reason why I have to miss them, sucks too much to even mention.

what it basically, once again, boils down to - is that my life f'n sucks!....

seriously.... nobody has any idea as to exactly how much.

have I mentioned that its great to be back, posting in/reading these threads/folders again, after not doing so, for over a month?

at the party Sat night - some idiot, decided to spray the casino room with pepperspray, and a bunch of us inhaled it prior to them evacuating the room.

once we got out side everything was OK - or so we thought.

Fast forward to yesterday and I'm playing soccer, and feel like I'm going to have an asthma attack - and my chest BURNS.. BURNS..

cause guess what was coming back up? yup the inhaled pepperspray.

I'm better today, but man that was scary.

funny thing - it happens every year. In one of the buildings.

someone also let off stink bombs in one of the buildings.. that is a little less horrible.

I swear we have more cell phone calls at work than calls on the business lines. Soooooo annoying, especially all the stupid ring tones. Maybe I should install a faraday cage.. but that'd be more work and expense...

finally finding a good solution to getting/keeping my website up to date. But now that I'm working on uploading files, now my web host decides to have it's FTP server go down... gahh....

finding out the company was putting "sniffer" software on the server on Friday..

this may end my surfing at work.

oh.. I found a great way.. but it's technical. Very elegant solution though. I might have to try it sometime, just for fun.

Basically you use a ssh client to tunnel to your home computer (which would have to be on and online, running an ssh server). Then you make a setting change to internet explorer, and you're effectively surfing the web off your home computer, at work. All your work's software sees is data being sent, but since it's secure shell, they can't tell what the data is, only where it's going. I doubt they'd care to track it down.

My wife getting called to jury duty exactly one year to the day after her last jury duty.

Needless to say, she's not a happy camper.

I wish they'd call me for that crap right now, while i dont have anything else going on.

Tell her to call the court. You don't have to serve for two years according to MN law. Federal and county.

can I go? I'd like to get outta work for a few weeks...
