Glad to hear that all worked out ares and TC. Sorry it's so late but I can't surf the net at work and I am to worn out after to do much surfin at home.
we never thought we'd be thanking god for migraines, but its a hell of a lot better than an aneurysm
Hell Yeah! Too bad Megan had to go through all the tests and stuff but it sounds like things are for the better now. Scary stuff to put things in perspective once again. I'm guessing the two of you will have a few more gray hairs the next time I see you.
I remember that summer when gas was 95 cents. My car got into an accident so I convinced the rent a car place to give me a brand new Tahoe for a month. Thing got about 6 miles to the gallon, it was great.
Realizing the horrific mistake that the message of "Hey, it's Chris, call me back" wasn't a wrong number and was bachelor party info for Saturday night...
I think my dude license needs to be revoked. Naughty red.
Having my wifes daughters boyfreind be an ass and kicking her and the 2 babies out on the street saturday morning at 5 am in Eau Claire. Geuss we have 3 new room mates.

Seems he don't wanna work and actually pay to have a place to live.
Another wonderful Monday.. get woken up early this morning, the phones and internet at work are down, so I gotta rush in. Sluggish cause I hadn't eaten a thing, by the time the network was fixed, it was time to play catchup on all the work that didn't get done in the morning (coworkers spent the morning playing solitare, since they couldn't surf the net). Then a nice 2 hour meeting where nothing was accomplished (other than keeping the newly hired temp from getting in on the bonus and cutting mine down to piddly crap by being able to review me and my other coworkers poorly, trust me I know how that works, peer reviews my butt). then the temps took time off for lunch because they were stuck covering the phones for said meeting, once again I'm scrounging the vending machine, sick of chips... I get back from taking 3 minutes to do that, and a coworker expects me to rush over and help them out on their problem.
Gonna talk to a guy about a radio tech job (repairing radios in police and emergency vehicles) I'm a bit apprehensive about it, because I haven't had much experience in electronics since college, but figured I should probably have a look. 17 bucks an hour and a shorter commute, heck shoveling manure would be an improvement.
Honestly I shouldn't complain. It just sucks to not be treated fairly. Still, life ain't fair, today of all days I ought to know that.
irritates: Madera california. Mapquest in madera california. My hotel DOESN'T overlook the golf course - it overlooks the one that is PLANNED in um like 2010 or something.
but sonic burger is nextdoor and I'm on strawberry limeade #3 (the 66oz ones) of the day - I also had a applelimeade earlier - but it wasn't the same.
hey kitch, if it helps I can tell you that you missed a good game, missed seeing Tom Cruise in the stands and 4 missed points and and... oh yeah, the Vikes won!  :eyeroll:
he got a shot for rabies --- I will post the gory pix later ---- they had to cut out the 3 inch owie puncture area and sew him back together - it was pusy yucky!
My cats too smart to go after wildlife in the yard....he makes the dog do it, and then sits there with an "i told you so" look on his face, when the dog comes back in pain.
so I got a call way earlier today from some lady, who found my resume on one of the many websites that I use - with a job offer....
It sounded way too good to pass up, and we were trying to figure out a time for me to go and meet with her for an interview -
I had never heard of the city she mentioned the company was located in, so when I asked her "how far is that from Saint Paul?".... she comes back with "Where is Saint Paul?"....
Seems the genius, works in Missouri and evidentlly didnt know her own states abbreviation, or something.... wtf
so close.... so close....
one of these days. :eyeroll: :coolfrown:  :frown:
Being outside doing some home maintenance stuff including washing windows and glazing, but being attacked by bees and not doing very well in the glazing department.
just got a phone call from a 'high up' who is impressed with my work on this new software, and was commending me for being so knowledgable etc (this is the good part)
then he says, and don't worry about the politics behind this - I'll handle that part for you - you just keep moving forward.
what the HELL.... don't worry about the politics? I'm sorry... I don't like the sound of that.
I did manage to finish glazing the windows on the shady side of the house. No bees there. And tomorrow I'll call in reinforcements. Kids don't work on the weekend.
Picturing OT running around her house waving her arms in the air
Second worst thing she could possibly do (the worst would be to actually strike at the bees - guarantees a stingfest)
The best thing would be to SLOWLY move into the shade. Bees are attracted to bright colors in sunlight. They may alight on you, but as long as you move slowly, they won't sting. Bees don't care much for the taste of human, unless you've doused yourself in perfume or cologne...
So the newly hired extemp tosses a laptop on my desk this morning, sits in my chair in my office, and says she's working remotely on friday (translation: she's taking a day off) and excel hasn't been working on this laptop since the boss gave it to her to use. I knew excel was installed on it, but it was pulling up the windows installer, apparently it had some dumb issue and needed the install disk.
Big deal right? She has to rub it in my face since she told me about the problem last week and I'd shrugged it off. And tell the boss how she was right and I was wrong. Wrong? I didn't even say anything about it...
heh, no. Roommates been bugging me cause a friend of his is bugging him.
There's a job with the city they both think I'd be perfect for, all due to a FCC license I got back in college in 97. I'm a bit less certain, but they've bugged me to a point that I need to check into it, if only to get them off my back. I will admit it sounds nice, all except for the early hours... That and I'm not sure if I could perform the duties I'd be expected to.
new annoyance of the day: bioterrorism compliance regs, and not being able to do anything until someone gets me a piece of paper with a magic code on it - that I can input to unlock my friggin batch of dry goods.
If you weigh the early hours vs all the hours you're working now I think it would be worth waking up earlier each day. And working for the city you'd be assured of getting your breaks and lunch, etc.
Go for an interview with a positive attitude. Don't go in thinking you might not be able to do the job until they explain the job to you. And then lie! If you already have a license you must know something! And surely there'd be somone to train you if you got the job.
I paid $50 bucks out to IGH in gas thisafternoon at $2.29 gal. - made my contribution to the city now for putting on this hunt.
bummer Nick, but then again, I dislike american idol anyways, so now I don't have to watch it "cause I know someone on it".
And I remember once paying 95 cents a gallon for gas, about 7 years ago. It's got a lonnnnnggggggg ways to go before I can call it cheap again.
Hell Yeah! Too bad Megan had to go through all the tests and stuff but it sounds like things are for the better now. Scary stuff to put things in perspective once again. I'm guessing the two of you will have a few more gray hairs the next time I see you.
yup.
I think my dude license needs to be revoked. Naughty red.

wtf...I feel like a part of my manlyhood was ripped outta me...
nothing watching a bunch of 5 and 6 yr olds doing some fairy dance when the vikes are on monday night football and the first game of the year...
I wait all year for that to happen....
but sonic burger is nextdoor and I'm on strawberry limeade #3 (the 66oz ones) of the day - I also had a applelimeade earlier - but it wasn't the same.
And yes... I still drag myself in to work.
My major concern about being here is I'll pass it on to the temps, who will take full advantage of a few days off....
grrrr.
I feel jipped...
:eyeroll:
I'm sorry but having a guy wash your hair isn't the same thing...
stupid stupid stupid.
I have to put in a request to fix something in the system (moving a decimal) and it's gonna take an act of gawd to get it.
freakin bane of the medallion hunt, tippin trash cans over, and now they're terrorizing cats...
I've been putting off taking my cat in to get an ingrown nail cut out. Last time they had to put her under. :frown:
I hope she gets better me2
poor kitty.

I was just stung for the first time in my life earlier this summer, while camping.
Here I as expecting this big ordeal, and something cool to happen....
what with all the hype you get when you're a little kid - "Stay away from that bee! you're gonna get stung!!!"
thought, maybe I'd end up being allergic to them, since I dont have any allergies at all to anything....
but nope... it looked like a giant mosquito bite, and didnt even hurt that much....
talk about a let down :eyeroll: :goofy:
I can't figure that one out for the life of me...
The bills being 1-1???
don't get me wrong...if I didn't have the vikes...
I'd be a MAJOR bills fan!!!
I still can't figure out how you'd pick them to win....oh well...I got the NYG pick right
