The busier it gets here, the more smoke breaks they take. Exponentially, it's a BIG problem. Basically I have to pick up the slack, which I have to do when they're here anyways, then they get stressed and have to go puff on a cigarette.
I'm about ready to tell them to all go home, it'd actually be less stressful to just deal with running the operation on my own than hearing them whine and complain and talk about having to go for yet another smoke.
Actual conversation 2 seconds ago "I'm so stressed, I need to go have a smoke" the two other smokers chimed in "wait for me" now they're all out the door and the phone's still ringing.
I just hand them a gun and say no need to thank me for fast lane to the other side. It's like smokers are those slow drivers in the fast lane screwing up the regular flow of life's traffic.
Huh KC? You wit me bro! Can I get a Hell Yeah and a ^5?!
This damn site taking so fricken long to minimize when big wigs decide to make a surprise appearance in my office. Then I turn beet red on top of it trying to load some other prog. Damn! :sheepish: :frown:
Ares, TC - our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family that everything will have a positive outcome. Scary stuff, but at least they caught it.
Keep a work spreadsheet or word document which would fill the screen minimized down at the bottom. Whenever you think someone is coming your way, maximize it with a click...
Yup. However, I don't rely on anyone, I just end up doing it myself, because I know if I don't, the other people will come back to me and ask me to do it anyway.
The smell of cheap hot dogs burning on a grill, wafting through the air exchange at work. Temp took the day off, so I don't even have time to go get one.. not that I care, it's just annoying
hey KC while your at it - can you clone yourself, and put said clone on a plane and have him come weigh my trucks so I can go to lunch? I'd like that a lot.
Being caller 14 when you need to be #17 for a trip for two to Atlanta next weekend to see REM reunited (to include Bill Berry) inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame ...
well, after making numerous deals with god on one of the longest nights of our lives, here's the update on megan:
the initial mri and mra showed that she had an aneurysm in the occipital artery. upon reviewal at children's hospital (the only hospital, incidentally, to ever use for anyone under age 18 because of the physiological differences between kids and adults) by 4 neurosurgeons, one neurologic resident, 2 md's and a general med resident, and the radiologist, it was discovered (after a laborious 3 hour process to remove everything from the images that wasn't part of the vascular system: bone, muscle, brain, etc.) that megan has an artery that makes a slight jog out of a bony tunnel that on the mri looked like an aneurysm. after removal of the bone from the images, they were better able to see that it looked like a continuous jog rather than a ballooned artery. the most amazing thing about this is that without being able to strip the non vessel items out of the image, they would have had to do a cranio-angiogram, which isn't the safest procedure on a kid. they were able to do a surgical diagnosis without surgery. we never thought we'd be thanking god for migranes, but its a hell of a lot better than an aneurysm. they still don't know what the ultimate cause of the headaches that put us in this situation is, but we know that it isn't a tumor and it isn't an aneurysm.
tc will never be the same again, since she sacrificed all of her vices to god, figuring she now has to live like mother teresa. (good luck on that, honey  )
this sounds like something that a paper will one day be written on for a medical conference.
thank you all so much for your prayers. one of the first things we did was get prayer chains going throuhgout the country with our families, and they were just as important as the medical knowledge. talk about an answer to prayer.
I dont think ive ever watched an entire season worth of that show....I usually watch the first couple of nights to see all the horrible people who have no talent.... and then the very last night, to see who wins...
It might be different this time around... if someone sucky ends up winning, hey... that could have been me (yeah right).....
Either that, or seeing somebody from here win would be kinda cool.
but lets face it... nobody is capable of rocking a crowd, quite like wicked nick does...
Wicked Nick is the most electrifying man in the entertainment industry today.
eh.... whatever....I think i'm going to go downtown and see a favorite local band of mine at Station 4.... if I make it there in time, I might be able to catch the end of their set
You guys quack me up. They be my hos ya know.
Nice avatar Kitchy!
