Since a member must introduce guests - I'm going to intro her as the ladies who are charting a new club in our county - which will go over like a Sh*t Sandwhich, I'm sure in our meeting.
I'm all for growing membership and charting other orgs, but our towns are too small to have several of these groups, when if we worked together, we'd be a lot better off.
Madam Prez is phoning national right now to see if there is a w/in a certain area rights we can invoke to keep them out. We aren't going to let them come in without a huge fight. I've spent countless hours (as have many of our girls) building our rep to have someone come in on our coattails.
Invite her to the vineyard, get her drunk and take funny pics of her -- that'll get her out

Turn this into a good book or horror movie:

Basically if she applies, the national org has to ask each of the established clubs in the area if they mind. We will fill a protest which won't let them charter within 60 miles of our club.
I'm gonna be nice tonight but firm. Heck we'd love people who are motivated to join our club, and I was prez with a little over 24 months of club time under my belt. If I can do it, anyone can.

Seriously, I have music on - they complain it's too loud (I can't even hear it 5 feet from my computer.
but they can be 30 feet down the hall and around the corner, and I can tell you ever word in their conversation. Infact people who are on the other end of phone calls with me, can tell every word of their convo.

I just learned the hard headed guy I'm dealing with, however is literally 'in bed' with my problem tho.
should make things interesting. I have a new method of attack, it's called bypassing him.
our data system is being combined with another facility so we can do 'global' stuff... and all my buttons that do all my site specific trix don't work :angry:
and when you get the error message, you are basically frozen @ that point, and have to dump the system to get out.
day 2 no data system... i'm getting impatient.
People who know better, but are lazy, so send temps to 'inquire' about things they already know the answer is no to.

Irritates: SPP Heritage Days fireworks. So lame that they should have canceled and doubled up for next year so it could be an actual show. I'm only glad that I found an awesome spot to view them from close to home along the river. I would have been pissed if I had to drive all the way to the other side of the river for that. I know it's mostly done on donations as I've donated to the IGH show, but it was kinda sad that every single person watching it from where I was all said "Is that it?" We waited around a bit with nothing. The most exciting part was that a cop stopped the girls and I as we were leaving saying that he had complaints about people lighting off fireworks down at the park where we were at.
Maybe it's because the last fireworks show I saw was probably the best I've ever seen from the top of DT Mpls for the Aquatennial display.
I love fireworks, It's really hard to deeply enjoy them once you think you've seen the best. Personally, I've been spoiled with them and always wanting for more.
I've heard people around us at times ooooh and aaaah and say how wonderful they are and even begin to walk away when they think they've already seen a finally when they don't truly know what a finally is!
I thought SSP days were over last month. Becks and I are gearing up for IGHs.

I was home watching FOOTBALL!
and since I'm already in the "what irritates you" thread I can gripe that channel 45 S-U-C-K-S! the sound is horrible the color is aweful. switching back and forth between 11 and 45 was literally night and day! 11 had Madden and the Bus, 45 had no-bodies. 45 had their logo in the bottom right corner AND the channel 5 logo in the upper left corner through the whole game!!!! pick one!!! 45 didn't have a yellow imaginary line either ....huge disappointment! it was like watching highschool football!!!! The only reason I continued to watch was because of our Vikes. It's hard enough with all of the changes this year....
new sucky channel
new quarterback (that isn't twisting my binder as I expected him to).
new coach (that looks like Bill Cowhers cousin-havn't seen him swear yet but the guy hasn't smiled yet either).
new uniforms (vikes and refs) - I don't like either of them
couple of new rules - I've never seen a sport change the rules on a yearly basis more than football.
lots of new upcoming players
and probably the longest preseason "injured" list we've had in years!
there are 7-8 new coaches this year!!!
The comintators last night were talking about the material and feel of the refs new uniforms! :eyeroll: these are men talking about fashion!!!
Fason is icky.
Hoag, Blue, Kluwe, Farwell wern't bad.... our defense looked pretty good.

amazing- it was all over cnn and fox news last night and this morning - pretty much a 5 minute by 5 minute accounts and then sooo little on Saddams trial this morning - I cannot believe how much coverage they are giving this guy WITHOUT the proof of DNA-just 'taking his word for it'---- very sad
the only way I think he could have done it is if they prove through DNA-otherwise it's the biggest farse!
