somthing irking you? pissing you off? rant about it here.

irritates: SO what? last week I went and got all new insurance right.. and they charged me and sent me my policy and yada yada..
well, they never turned it in to the DMV - SO, now I have a letter from the DMV saying they are suspending my license until I can show proper proof of insurance, cause the other company had already sent in notification that I had dropped them.
currently: sitting on hold with Insurance company to find out how they can be so stupid. Also - it's my friends company, and he is completely embarrased by this.
um yeah, I bet. Cause guess who is going to be paying all the re-instatment fees? that's right.. NOT ME.
Trying get get a first to find geocache at mounds park and ending up dislocating my shoulder. I'm supposed to help my wifes daughter move this weekend. (she just had a baby) :frown:
I feel your pain 3M. Last night I was on the missippi riverfront trying to find a cache. Slipped and fell, instinctively grabed a tree to catch my fall, but the bark was tough and sharp, chewed up my hands pretty good.
Still, not as bad as the dislocated shoulder... Ow..
Yea it's a little sore right now. It was completly out of socket as I walked a 1/2 mile back to the car. About 1/2 way it kinda just slipped back in by it's self. Doc says wait till a few days and see what happens. If it's still screwed up I'll need an mri to check on soft tissue damage.
And sorry to hear about your injury too KC. Dangerous sport eh?
I agree with you. That was awful. The kicker is the meerkats were vaccinated against rabies but it's only considered 100% in domesticated animals. So the only choices are euthanized and test the animal or have the bite victim undergo rabies shots - which aren't nearly as bad as they used to be - 5 shots in the arm.
I think that typical of people's thinking these days. "Why should we be inconvenienced because of our own stupid mistake?"
discovered a couple of holes in the ground in the back yard yesterday, and low and behold, there be hornets flying in and out of them. given the proximity to the house, tc won't let me use the gasoline method. of course, given that it looks like they're using a hole from another burrowing creature, that's probably a good thing, since the ground would likely settle about 6 inches.
I was listening to a CD I burned of his where he does his own rendition of various metal tunes. It's OK as a novelty. One wouldn't really listen to it more than once.
My old company delaying our severance payments again! 1st we agreed to a lump sum payment. Then they wanted to pay weekly and did. Now they just don't want to pay at all this month. They say they are broke. I really hope thats true. They could have made it easy on everyone and just not given us nothing! Instead the state made us deduct the payments (that we didn't even get yet) from our unemployment money, and then they paid us weekly intead of the agreed upon lump sum. Now they want to just not pay at all this month "because of finacial dificulties". What a crock! How about my financial dificulties of not having a job! They promise to still pay it off by Dec 22nd. Yea sure.   :coolfrown:
Irritates: was 105 for my company picnic yesterday and no one stayed. Not that I was going to stay - but I drove 50 miles to it - for 20 minutes (aka long enough to be seen so I'd get paid) and then went wine buying at all my friends local wineries.
problem? none of my bosses were there to 'prove' I had been - so I took photo of me with some of the IT people who were there. and emailed it to them today.
I think I'm gonna ask to work 3rd shift hours here.
3:30 in the morning is just way too late to still call today a 1st shift job anyway. Plus it's nice and quiet right now. Even the voices in my head aren't talking
Ah well, off to get a few hours shuteye and be here at 8 to cover for a co worker on vacation.
I once had a second shift job. Sucky hours, but ya got a boost in pay due to that.
Was great though, no bosses want to work those kinda hours, so you're left in peace. I expect 3rd shift is fairly similar, just not quite at sucky of hours. And the odd thing is I'm actually a LOT more productive when it's quiet and nobody's around to bug me. You'd think it'd make a person more lazy.
It was almost freaky leaving the building here last night. There was dead silence on the streets, I mean I could hear a creak in the pedestrian bridge to the parking ramp, I didn't even know that thing did creak.
kinda irritates: There is another women's club trying to charter in the same county we are in. I'm not sure why they are going though all this effort of chartering (tons and tons of work) when we are still an expanding branch at only 45 members. If they are hard working enough to start a charter - I want them on my team!
I just went to the regional director who mentioned this was happening - and asked to be the ambassador to this new charter, to see if they needed help. Like the old saying - keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. I want the inside scoop.
irritant....... my digestive system still being out of wack. My doctor thought I had an acute bleeding ulcer brought on by ibuprofen I was taking for my kinked up neck.
I'm on meds and eating pretty normal but occasionaly feel really sick after eating. I eat a small meal and half hour later feel super full for hours. :frown: Great for losing weight... I think I've dropped 10 pounds so far. But the nausea, dizziness, and stomach cramping suck. I go back and forth from feeling fine to feeling faint. I hope it is just an acute ulcer. I go back to doctor in 3 weeks and I do not want to do an endoscope. They shove a hose down your throat (usually you're awake) and look around with a camera.
Thanks you guys. Ali is taking it OK but her friends are forgetting about it once in awhile and bumping into it. The kid freaks out but I'm sure it'll just be a learning lesson for all of them (and me for that matter)
She writes with her right hand so we were OK there. She's 8 so the doc said she could heal pretty fast.
He said if it was me I would need a ton of pins to hold me together. :eyeroll:
CM- that suxs. I did the same thing when I was her age - poor thing! I remember having a lot of aching pain Freaked my mom out, Doc said it was the bones growing back together.
get her lots of markers to accessorize her cast with!
- Turkeys, turkeys, turkeys and SOME MORE TURKEYS!!!!!
- Crickets, who decided to invite themselves into our camp-site, and crash in our tents for a while....
- Tornadic activity,(there was actually a Tornado warning for right where we were) including winds that were atleast 60 MPH - blowing all of our stuff around, lightning flashes every 30 seconds, tons of thunder, and LOTS of rain, for nearly 24 hours straight (although it cleared alota the other campers out of the camp-grounds... so that was cool)
- a tree falling down, and landing where I had been standing nearly 30 seconds earlier...
- More Turkeys
- boy scouts at a 4H camp, who decided it would be cool to march, or whatever through our camp-ground, and play horns/trumpets/whatever right after I decided to take a short nap
- More Turkeys
- the big inflateable whale we brought with having a leak in it...
- a friends parents huge ass camper/motor-home deal having brake problems, and nearly catching on fire both on the way there, and on the way home..... making us have to turn around and drive like 60 miles, because we were already almost there, or almost already home, both times to help fix the problem
- crabby workers at K-Mart
- cops
- cops who insinuate
- cops who are proven wrong, and then get an even worse attitude, before leaving...
- Turkeys
- my first ever bee sting (I was hoping it would have been a lot worse)
- having to help a friend fix their flooded tent, because the rain tarp wasnt on correctly (keep in mind, that we're doing this, as the tent is about to blow away, and its raining so hard, that you drown if you're just standing there)
After he was examined on the trainer's table behind the bench, Greenway was able to get up and walk around the sideline, but the Vikings said he wouldn't return.
irritates: Agreeing to have a drink with this woman trying to start a club in my town (I can see the convo now.. this county ain't big enough for the both of us...)
curious about the club.... see there was the University Club and the Athletic Club and the Minnesota Club here in St Paul. The last 2 were only men. Back in the day, the women had had a seperate entrance through a back door of the Minnesota Club. What do you offer that she can't? Swimming pool, pool tables, poker, cigar room, bar area...a fine wine?

I can say I've been through that kinda crap at places too..
thats kinda why I stay away from going through the drive-through at places, these days...
especially the McD's on University & Snelling... they've tried to short-change me and/or friends numerous times....
they sit there forever and dont give you change, hoping that you'll drive off and forget about it...
sometimes It makes my day though when places screw up orders... it gives me a reason to yell at somebody
Still, not as bad as the dislocated shoulder... Ow..
And sorry to hear about your injury too KC. Dangerous sport eh?
I think that typical of people's thinking these days. "Why should we be inconvenienced because of our own stupid mistake?"
that's gotta hurt man. keep it rested.

 ROCKABYE BABY!!!!
although I was listening to Pat Boone's metal CD while camping this past weekend. :sheepish:
$300.00 dentist bill, and not being able to get a job to pay anything on it... :eyeroll:  :frown: :coolfrown:
I was listening to a CD I burned of his where he does his own rendition of various metal tunes. It's OK as a novelty. One wouldn't really listen to it more than once.
I'm half expecting my dad to be dealing with b.s. like that, when he "retires" in about a month and a half and his company closes down...
problem? none of my bosses were there to 'prove' I had been - so I took photo of me with some of the IT people who were there. and emailed it to them today.

I love my job...
that was some good money, man...
sometimes I miss the hours, sometimes I dont...
I like being able to do stuff at night though... thats what stops me from trying to get those kinda hours again....
well... that and the fact that I cant get hired anyplace anyhow.

irritate: Late night FTFers compromising a cache...
At least it happened towards the end of summer. I hope it's not her writing hand. How old is she?
