It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
ticktock
flying downhill could also mean the hollman airport that can be seen from mounds park.
Have they ever hidden it in Mounds Park. I'm not sure it'd be in there because I think people would be to afraid that some hunters would mess around with the actual indian mounds. The website www.coolercrew.com has a list of where it was hidden along with some of the clues from those years. You should check it out. I thought it was very imformative.
The time for fun has now begun In our hunt that's open to all But if you don't want to be outdone Look only on public ground in St Paul
A park is the spot but a golf course is not So please don't disturb a fairway or green Follow this advice and you won't be caught Wasting your time at the wrong scene

Last year, clue #3 said that you should watch for a place where kids like to zoom, refering to the sliding hill. This year it is saying that you should avoid sliding hills
Hello everyone I am new here. With the thought to battle creek in 95 clue #8 refers to the thrill of going downhill, does that mean anything with clue #2 for this year? Just a thought...
My partner and I have a hard time believing it would be in Mounds park because of the Indian burial mounds and the way idiots would desecrate them. Highland Park sounds good.
flying downhill could also mean the hollman airport that can be seen from mounds park.
You're probably right step.
I think Flying downhill could mean Falls? I dunno
ticktock--and it can be an attraction because they host airshows there!!
What about the downhill part ticktock?
step-- my uncle, Jerry Krieger and his son Jerome Krieger are, not me
I think clue #1 is meaning more than we think, but I don't know what yet
snowdigger--planes take off below the cliff (downhill??)
As in Hidden Falls birdie15?
step- mounds park was 87. I think a similar clue to sliding was given then. any body have it?
Yeah! Jerry refereed my high school's games...cool.
yes
I don't think we can assume much until we see the next clue.
Flying and planes aren't really a popular outdoor attraction as skiing and sledding are
but why do they refer to sledding as an attraction?? Nobody goes to WATCH sledding.....
Usually, the first 3 clues hint at what the medallion is hidden in, did we overlook that, or is it yet to come?
The true meaning to clues #1 & 2 will become clear by about Thursday or Friday. That's when things will get interesting.
Birdie--I don't see any connection to an actual object it could be in yet....
flying as in plane, downhill as in sliding, too close to the action is off the cliff.
people go watch ski jumping though
does green have to do with it maybe? I dunno, I am just throwing Ideas out there.
birdie- do you think that "action" and "scene" imply that it is hidden in a video case?
people go watch ski jumping though
snowdigger---- that is a got analysis. It is possible, maybe a green Mr. Movies case? lol Can someone type the first clue for me please.
I'm going out for a ciggy. clue 3 might tell us what the medallion is in.
people go watch ski jumping though
I would birdie but I don't have it in front of me.
Have they ever hidden it in Mounds Park. I'm not sure it'd be in there because I think people would be to afraid that some hunters would mess around with the actual indian mounds. first clue anyone?
the other thing with action ans scene is they are the last words of each clue, let's see what the last word in 3 is
Birdie 15:
The time for fun has now begun In our hunt that's open to all But if you don't want to be outdone Look only on public ground in St Paul
A park is the spot but a golf course is not So please don't disturb a fairway or green Follow this advice and you won't be caught Wasting your time at the wrong scene
It was in Mounds Park in 1987.
It was hidden in Mounds in 87
Clue 1
The time for fun has now begun In our hunt that's open to all But if you don't want to be outdone Look only on public ground in St. Paul A park is the spot but a golf course is not. So please don't distrub a fairway or green Follow this advice and you won't be caught Wasting your time at the wrong scene
Bock! No luck. Step, are you here???
The basics:
#1 A park in St. Paul (additional meaning if any is later) #2 A sledding/skiing area in park not near treasure.
What rule says that there has to be a golf course in the park that the medallion is hidden in?
#3 Tonight @ 11:30
clue 2: Flying downhill can be quite a thrill and a popular outdoor attraction but your chances of winning are nil if you get too close to the action
I feel that these clues are saying that the park doesn't have a park or sledding areas. I am kinda leaning towards Hidden Falls
medallionhound- it is implied because in clue 1 it says " a park is the spot but a golf course is not"
Last year, clue #3 said that you should watch for a place where kids like to zoom, refering to the sliding hill. This year it is saying that you should avoid sliding hills
I'll check back in when I get home (about an hour). Catch you all later!!!
Hello everyone I am new here. With the thought to battle creek in 95 clue #8 refers to the thrill of going downhill, does that mean anything with clue #2 for this year? Just a thought...
Has anyone been out digging yet?
beGUN----- are there any type of Indian statues with guns in Mounds?
jeloba- what did the thrill of going downhill mean in 1995?
My partner and I have a hard time believing it would be in Mounds park because of the Indian burial mounds and the way idiots would desecrate them. Highland Park sounds good.
Snowdigger i did not say that it was not in a park I am saying that there is no rule that says that it has to be in a park that has a golf course.
I was there today birdie and I didn't see any.
The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards Como again. I know it was just there but the first two clues fit it.
