We gotta pass this by the "Cooler Crew Elders" first.
By elders, I mean TerryV, Green, *MOM*, Greg Sax.... Those that were here from the beginning. Those that actually started the Cooler Crew, and were welcoming enough to let us in.
I like the enthusiasm, but we don't want to step on anyones toes, nor do we want to move to far away from the tradition.
Regarding putting the logo on anything - if it can fit on a button - it can fit anywhere.
I would just hope that whatever happens here, we remember that what this Crew is founded on is about hunting medallion and is a family friendly group.Â
I did like the hats with the name on them, along with the CC crest.Â
Hey THX where is the 2006 thread. Any guess to the park and who will find it?
I think it will be in Battle Creek(just for you Green) and the guy in the red and blue snowmobile suit will find it.(I know his name but I have know him for 21 yrs as "the guy in the red and blue snowmobile suit" and the name fits so well. It was great to see him in the movie. Hope you all have a great year dreaming of next year's hunt and remembering this and other hunts of the past. To all the new cooler crew members this year, your enthusiasm and humor made this one of the best hunts ever.
Reality check...One issue with the newest logo that ESD made up. It's cute as long as it's on a colored background. Once it's on a white one, however, it looks half done.
I only did this logo because ares wanted it he also wanted the back ground transparent, I am not trying to redesign the crew logo so just keep me out of it.
While candy medallions/coins sound very cool, would you let your kid eat one from a stranger? That's why I've hesitated buying them . After Christmas, at Walgreen's for one, you can get them very cheap.
just fyi, I plan on entering this little contest. I'm not much for fancy computer graphics and the such, but make a pretty mean picture in 'paint'. everyone else might as well give up now!
Well if worst comes to worst we can give the candy to cooler heads, other hunters even the Vulcans. We can always ask the parents if they want to let their kids have them or not.
It's just one of many ideas we're tossing around here.
Hey what about actually being "in" the parade... I know it's not THAT much especially if we all pitched in :) If someone has a pick up truck... we could make a big CC sign and hand out candy and flashy stuff that way.... just a thought :)
U mean being in the parade? It's easy.. I can get an application and stuff... heck we could even find a place to sponsor us and all we'd have to do is advertize for em :D
The route is actually not that bad.. lol I've marched it MANY times... I was in marching band all thru highschool. It goes by a lot faster when you're in it than while you're watching it.
You aren't stepping on toes Outta. Please don't feel that way. Please look if you can. If we decide to do these things the more options we have the better.

nah...seriously...I love the old logo...I just am having a hard time figuring out a way to put it on a shirt...or hat..or something...

TerryV...I agree....the 5 nite of the hunt I was at the firepit at 2a.m. IÂ caught myself swearing in front of a 3yr old kid....
I felt bad.....really bad.......but I gotta admit...I didn't expect a 3yr kid there at that time of nite...
If the parent is a cooler...I'm sorry...I realize that some kids are on just difffernt sleeping schudules then mine....
my point is this.....I don't want somebody to say....those coolerheads are just potty mouths.....swearing in front of my kids.....
We respect the image of the hunt and the cooler.....is why we pick up trash etc.....
And I think that has to be the final deciding factor in anything we do that is labeled Cooler Crew.Â
We are hunters of medallions in the snow.Â
We are family friendly. For crying out loud - Santa is among us!
We would never do anything that would reflect poorly on the rest of the Crew.
Thats why I like the idea of having things to give out to kids.
Those chocolate coins with a CC logo or the Medallion printed on them would be neat.
Along with flashy stuff :).
beads, buttons, flashy stuff....I think candy or stuff like that might not be such a good idea...Kids and allergies.....what do you think?

Parents can control kids not being allowed to eat chocolate. No diffrent then a parade.

I think that's an awesome idea guys... www.orientaltrading.com also has some really cool ideas for stuff.. and U can buy it in bulk pretty cheap.
