I had thought maybe long was a last name- Stephen Long -someone said Longfellow

a mention of the torpedo cause of the long list of names

como has a long history going back to the 1850's. I would only hold a small list to a long park history: Rice Irvine Mears Como -then Phalen

it has the longest history for taken pictures of (stereoviews) and gates ajar were the most photographed

well a deke is hockey terms for a fake or fake out... like when a hockey player dekes the goalie to score... where he tries to fake him out... with all this hockey talk.. I'm not wondering if it's in a park that DOES keep their rink up all year. I think someone mentioned that, but I can't remember who.

Can't go get the paper or go to GW's. I work nights at the Post office on Kellogg. If anyone wants to deliver one to me at 12:30 I would be tickled. :grin: You wouldn't believe the hours of thought I put into this at work.

I have been having problems with my egrams- I sent one to kitch and cm got it! I think I am getting so many egrams that I am used to hitting the reply button -so when I write an egram I automatically/accidentally must hit the reply button and it changes the name to whoevers egram I had saved previously.

Soooo whoever gets weird egrams from me I am sorry. geeesh. I caught myself a couple of times today. I have been inendated with egrams and phone calls all day!!!!!!

I'm thinking the miniature golf fit the place for beginners. Plus you can see the Space Needle from that area as well. (moving up and around / heavenly guide)

The Post office is on Kellogg and Jackson. What cross street is the PP on? Last year I circled the same 6 blocks looking for it until my husband threatend divorce. I only get a 20 minute break at 12:30. I can't be back late, you'd be surprised that even being a gov't worker, that they actually expect me to WORK. :pbpt:

oh well the PP press brings customer copies to be mailed to the PO around 3:30 am. I usually take a gander then.

here's my take....

GREAT IDEAS!!! but i'm getting extremely nervous....

I've got a bad bad feeling.....

...but with that being said...I've done enough summer hunts to know that even with all the people in como that odds are its in the deep woods.....just because the edge of the treeline should have been checked by now...also all the trees in the open should have been checked by now....

Pine trees are another story....

so....I'm thinking if its in como its in the woods....if not...we missed the park...and I don't know how that's possible...

enless ofcourse its HARRIET, HIGHLAND, SWEDE, or PHALEN...yikes....I can't believe this hunt is this far and I'm still don't have a GUT feeling....

and if GREEN was here she'd say BC

If there's a old well anywhere in these parks, up and around (as in "I hope you're up and around soon") can = well How that would ever fit with "move", I don't really know

Another thing I gotta wonder is the hiding location. Would they really hide it deep in the woods? what if it went close to the last clue, you get all the wannabes out there looking and destroying the area. I don't care how much they say "Search Don't Destroy" if it's in the woods, those woods are getting tore up.

Winter is a bit different, everything's dead or dormant, and spring comes and fills in the mess.

my best guess at this point is they're "dekeing" everyone, it'll be some unexplored park...

oh and I'm also a treasure hunting addict. Even with this cold I tried for a cache tonight, got about halfways down a hill and was getting pretty woosy. Gave it up, just couldn't do it.
