I am also guessing the Winter Carnival doesn't want us to be a formal part of the winter carnival as those spots are reserved for the groups from the old story (Vulcans, King Boreas, etc).
I am still gonna talk with them briefly -more like pry for some information. The Vulcanettes tried to be a social part of the carnival and were shot down years back. BUT the Klondike Kates only became involved as early as the 1970's sometime. I will become friends with someone there. And since I volunteer right below them at the RCHS it shouldnt be like just anyone walking in off the street looking for information. Lets see if they have sticks up their butts! It may take some time (years) and for next year we can still be in the parade --I will keep you posted.
- there are sooooooo many running jokes and memories from the the mock hunts and over the years. Persistance and positiveness will get you far here :) - everyone has such a different personality of their own that makes this group so much fun. we bring it all together and make eachother laugh so hard- hense a coke monitor shield, even after all these years I don't recall the initials people use for it when they laugh so hard. LL, TV, Ares & Artemis use initials alot -I should pay more attention. :) ---Ares used to be known as a 'computer entity', he was not seen for like 2 whole years, we only had communications with him online. He used to think he was God cause we couldn't see him-hahaha-doh! :p

I would say he has more class than the others but he is possibly the most "anti-cooler crew". That strikes me as odd because he doesn't know any of us except the ones that have been in the medallionator with him, etc.
I don't consider him a "tagalong punk" because he hunted a lot more than the Madlands. I see where you are coming from, tho.
He does have a strange sense of humor. He thought playing religious programs over the loudspeaker of the medallionator was the funniest thing in the world.
Okay, that site is very lame. But, what is more lame is Langeness' personal site (the link is broke to it on the medallionators site, you have to cut and paste). He touts himself as a web designer with a web design company, but it looks to me like he is using a MS Frontpage template to sell his great web design skills.

OTS, they would say their site is for promotional purposes. They also send press releases to Pioneer Press writers. It is the same reason why they drive the medallionator and why they mock people. They have a thirst for attention.
It's rather unfortunate that they play it out that way. Most of the people who hunt are good fun people. To mock people and insist that they are in some way superior to them is childish and only shows how small of a world they have lived in. BTW..... Jake was following me for a short periond of time in the pit o death.....Me lol.. the new guy....
