I received an invite a little while ago.  Many thanks, guys.  Since Rehash at CoNo 2003 the PF boards have been the only way I've been able to share the thrill of the hunt.  Until the screaming began next door, I never realized there was an invitation-access thread.  Guess that shows how inattentive and clueless I can be.  Not very good credentials for a medallion hunter, huh?  That's part of the reason I don't post much.  I guess being unable to get out to the park isn't the only reason I haven't stumbled over the medallion.

Now I'm standing here, slowly turning, looking up at this huge place.  It's much quieter in here and 7300 posts!  How am I ever going to be able to slog thru these?  I just finished the 350 since last night's clue came out.  That was enough for this visit.

Now that I'm here I feel this awesome responsibility to add to the noodling.  With the warm-up building steam, no further ideas may be needed.  Just keep your eyes open for the disk appearing from the slush.  If the Crew doesn't jump on the prize tonight and with the ice softening, maybe I can get out and hobble around tomorrow with my walking staff, not fall down too often.  I had planned to be there today but as Roseanne Rosanneanndanna used to say, "It's always something."

Everyone is talking about the giant tree for this, which is probably right, but I started thinking about other options, like paper- the newspaper- I don't know, just a thought.

lilslim, have you seen Regman at Crosby? I didn't see him much on the open thread and he never said much positive about Crosby.

Back from the park.

KT - the fire is still going strong.

Saw Kirk Condie out riding the paths on his bike.  Smart man.

Also saw Mikey, Wright Winger and some of the Camo Crue standing around discussing clues.

My gut tells me it's on the west end of the park somewhere...but it's the where that is the issue.

This was probably my last shot at being out there.  Tomorrow is likely to be a 12 hour day at work and Wednesday not much better.

Would someone please find that dang thing?!?!?!

As Reggie himself says, don't believe anything he says in here.  ;)

Obviously not everyone thinks that one tree is "all that's left".  Seemed every tree stump had been dug around and others seemed to be picking out a random downed tree and digging those out.

HOLY SHEEP SHEET!
I go to work for 6 hours and look what happens.
Matthew Raymond! Do I need to send you to the 'naughty mat'?
I will be at work from 6 to 6 tomorrow. Let's see what you can do in that amount of time. "DON'T MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE!"

People- Matt is an adult and has not been subject to my parental brainwashing since he was 13.
His voice is not my voice, his feelings are not mine.
I may be very basic and simple minded, but I really enjoy the rally of friendship on this thread, and out in the great City. I value the time spend sharing laughter, hardship, and noodles.
I enjoy these 2 weeks of the year more than any other time.
I tend to cling to the nonsensical goofy things that happen during the hunt, but do more than my share of noodling.
My son may have struck chords in some of you, but please do not judge me by them.
I must, however, let him own his thoughts and feelings, and respect them as his.
Besides, he's known more than me most of his life, and has inherited the gift of long- wordy speeches.
Please don't do any spell or grammar checks on this.

NOW! That poo being said- Hello! How's the noodling going?

FrozenButtox

Maybe my slog goggles are fogged up, but I don't see a whole lot of noodling going on.  I'm starting to wonder if there is a sub-invitational thread somewhere where the master heads congregate?  So, with my whining out of the way, here's my two cents for today:   "wend" means PROCEED and En route should be enroute - leading me to believe we should take the N route.  Does anybody else have any ideas about Clue 9?

I'm starting to wonder if there is a sub-invitational thread

It's inaccessible, because you have to wend your way through the über-invitational to access the hinge, then scoot to the solid shelter, helter skelter.

Gawd! Do I feel like a turd in a punchbowl :(
If Matthew had any idea how pissed I am... Not that he would care.
I had THX give his girlfriend access. I really do not know what his problem is.
For whoever asked- Matt is 25 years old, and does not live with me.
I love the Cooler Crew-
Those who mentioned being welcomed w/ open arms...
Imagine how it made me feel when I shared with you the news of my father.
I haven't hunted with Matt since Conway.
I belong to you now.
If he wants to start up some kind of super intellectual hunting thread- fine. I'm not smart enough for him and his ilk anyway.
So! I ask you please!! (*BEG,WHIMPER*) don't treat me like I just kicked your Grandmother's dog because my son is having his period.

sniff- thank you.
I sure didn't need any spiritual disruptions just now.
Even Dennis the pickle feels for me.

Well. Did anyone noodle CCR'S up around the bend tune? Does it go anywhere? or just another coinkidink music deal?

THX- Matt told me he didn't even want to hunt this year.
I will NOT ask you for access. I'm pissed. He did not need to be so supercilious and superior sounding to get his message accross.
This is totally the wrong time of the hunt to even bring it up. Everyone is busy, squirrely and pumped up. I think I'm just gonna go to Wal- Mart
now. I feel terrible.

More foolish thoughts: They don't say "around" they say "round." Maybe if you go on a path through the trees when turning a corner that would make the bend more "round" it is along that path. Haha, the ideas we think of when everything has been thunked.

I wonder if the 'many sides no flowers' refers to one of the ponds, rather than the octagonal flower garden.

Actually- most of the stuff is nonsense on the other thread, like where we're bringing Zephy next, and who's going where to meet whom.
The noodle posts are almost all over here. The only post we do not share is where the medallion is exactly. ...Cause we all know over there.
