I'll take one! Make mine a dark crunchy Coney wid jeez!
Thank you!
There is more I could say, but I don't feel bolestering is warrented now. You should have taken that private, Mike. It was one person's comment and you should have taken your initial feelings to the source. Then posting you will not be doing prizes hence forth.
I just got off the phone with Los Barrios.
lalalalala!
Click on Cooler Crew Refugee Camp. See that up at the top (or bottom) of this thread?
Then go into where we just talk about whatever, Shoot The Breeze.
Otay?
Far as I know KT hasn't died but since she hasn't been around I wanted to help out.
I was going to ask, "what do I have to do..." but was afraid of your answers! LOL.
Can anyone send a button to me? I already love ya, but I'd love ya more!
<---------------running, ducking and hiding
My decision to pass the torch is something I decided on last year and have been planning on this being my last year since. It had nothing to do with what you said.
And just to be clear, there are a lot of others, expecially Me2, that have contributed prizes as well in the last few years. AW has been hooking us up yearly with the lodge and this year Newell as well.
I really do appreciate you and Lilslim helping out this year. Should be a great time!
I hope I'm not causing any rifts here.
And KT is doing just fine... She's on face book.
I had lunch today with a dear friend and it just so happens I brought you into the conversation. I said that one of the things I miss most about not attending The Re-Hash Bash -not that I don't miss the friends and laughs and good times - was missing Mikey's tricks and deeds and prizes and games. I said this but two hours before I read your post.
You are more brave than you think.
Good night.
(((Mikey)))
I have my food ready too.
And KT is just fine.
Mikey - I hope I've told you in the past how much I appreciate your work, but if I haven't shame on me. You have done a super job.
We've got a plastic shoebox tote full of misc plastic silverware leftover from my parents' reunion last summer - it's mostly forks but there's knives and spoons too.
Who brought those green pepper, cream cheese bacon things? I want the recipe! Those were super!!
And Eags - it was wonderful seeing you again. I'm so glad you made it down in time for the rehash.
Mikey, tell all about what you did and all that, would'ja? I just love that part so much.
Tell me all about the food!
Cooler!

Thank you so much. It hangs in my livingroom. It really means a lot to me.
Thanks, Me2, for donating it.
But thanks! I'm sure many others will enjoy that.
Tell me about all the tricks you pulled out of your hat. You know, the cool stuff you do - like the year you had a monkey as a prize? You know, all the ideas and neat stuff.
Slim and I did the trick gifts, inspired by the clues:
1) Bodacious bounty - bounty paper towels
2) bleepin' heathen - mouthwash, for a dirty mouth
2) elizabathean airs - tiara and sceptre
3) Hot porsuit - kid's police kit, gun, badge, holster, notebook
4) Code By Morse - S.O.S. Brillo Pads, to scrape your eyes out with disbelief at another como hunt
5) Westerly Tack up from the Stack - A westerly stack. Two pringles cans (BBQ flavored, for that western taste) taped together with a compass on top)
6) Down the main drag - neon pink wig, red lipstick and nail extensions. (For those at home, Camo Dan won this prize and was a super good sport.)
7) Escape your troubles where the water bubbles - Mr. Bubble bubble bath
:ooh: To find the seed, energy you'll need - full throttle energy drink
:ooh: stored in 1 of 15 - 1:15 brand Oats - "when it's 1:15 in the morning and you just can't line up a landmark"
9)Hopping pad to pad like amphibians in '52 - Carnuba Turtle Wax pad and wax
10) Stonehenge crubmled down - mini stonehenge
10a) angel hair pasta - "thin noodle"
10b) whole grain low carb pasta "smart noodles"
For security's sake because of all of the negative posts that Rob and Jake have been getting we also gave them special Ankle protection that had extra padding (weight), was GPS enabled, so we would be able to find them at any time, was blaze orange, so we would be able to locate them at any time, and had bells tied to them so that we could hear them at any time. Because it's all about safety.
So sorry I didn't make it. I didn't arrive back at my car until 1pm today and would have not arrived in time... Always next year!
Hope to see some of you around this summer!
This is what I was looking for. Bear, thank you!
Woot, woot, woot!!!
GREAT thinking and prizes! LOL!
love Mikey's Golden Pick idea. I treasure my golden shovel from BC.
What Cooler fun!!!!!!!!
Until next year...
Cheers!
Were they jalapenos? Was the bacon wrapped around the pepper or incorporated into the cream cheese?
I'm finding recipes for stuffed jalapenos with bacon wrapped around them but have yet to find anything using green bell peppers.
If anyone likes hot stuff, habanaros stuffed with peanut butter are fabulous!
the habanaro's one stuff...are called dragon turds..
they are even better when smoked on a charcoal grill
I am a card carrying member of the Chile-Heads, #2156.
I bet they are better grilled as that brings out the sugar in the peppers. I've had chocolate dipped habs, too, but I like them better stuffed with peanut butter. I don't even know if the Chile-Heads are still around, but back in then 90s those of us here in the TCs would get together 1-2 X/year and cook out at a park or someone's house and we'd all mke the recipies we thought up. Fun times. That's where I leaened about the stuffed habs.
1 8oz pkg. Cream Cheese
1 Cup Shredded Cheese
1 lb Bacon
12 Jalapeno peppers
Cook the bacon.
Mix cream cheese , 1/2 the shredded cheese and 4 crumpled pieces of bacon in small bowl
Wash Jalapeno's , cut end off, split in half and remove inside & seeds (w-spoon)
Fill Jalapeno's with cream cheese mix, place them on baking pan(cookie sheet), sprinkle the rest of the shredded cheese on top and place in oven for 10 minutes on 450.Take out and top with bacon slices.
Thats off the top of my head - simple.
We had a blast
It was Cooler seeing everyone
Marley King
ps
(I am sure Artemis has more to say)
I think I will pre-cook to a softened state 12 of the bacon slices, mixing the rest in the cream cheese, and wrap the jalapenos.
I could also see these baked in some kind'a salsa stuff, topped with cheese.
Nummy!!!! Thanks, you kids! (((Arty & Marley)))
