Hey CM - It showed up with an indicator by moderate...exactly like the read new indicator.

I believe we can simply state things the way you indicated previously...and then ask her to trust the moderators to have done what was necessary if she asks further questions.

I do expect she will ask about the deleted post. I don't know what we can do to keep that from coming up. She was hurt and angry and had a right to be so.

Was the moderate icon next to the edit and delete icons of the post? Just curious

The moderated thing was next to Host: Check moderated. The little red dot thighy was there.

Each post had to be approved and then I could come back in here and move the dot from moderated to host.

Funny because it would be true if you tried my account today. I just bought $150 worth of peppermint Schnapps for the hunt and it bounced my account today. I wouldn't have known about it but the wife seen it on line and just had to bellyache about something. :eyeroll: :smile:

So if you have no words in the folders objectionable word list and a user is "moderated" all posts get trapped, if there is a word list, that users posts get checked against that list, and if there are no hits the post goes live.

This new job is just about stress free which I love, but it also is one that there isn't always much to do which is okay sometimes, but there are times the day gets a bit long.

As I was working out this morning, I was thinking that we should post something and just tell people what happened. There have been people in the COC thread who were upset that we were so secretive, that they wanted to know what was going on. If that's what they want, and we want to have a dialogue going on with this and keep them involved, I think we should post something about it and let it be known. I would say post it in the thread that happened. That way the people who have been reading it and not just marking it as read will know what's going on. It happened in that thread, and the response should be in that thread.

Thinking about this on my drive into work, I was thinking the CCM could make this statement in the Redbear hunt thread:

We would like to thank OT for bringing this issue to our attention. We want to be clear that she, in no way, posted anything that was against our Code of Conduct.

With the help of the site sysop, we found who the moderator is that edited OTs post. That moderator was given the chance to admit the deed, which he did.

The moderators had agreed previously that no posts be edited or removed without input from the other moderators, unless there was a compelling reason to do so. The compelling reason for doing so would need to be extremes. An example would be the posting of pornographic material.

The person responsible for editing OTs post did not abide by the agreement made regarding the editing of posts and has removed himself as moderator.

Then in the code of conduct heading, the moderators should be listed in a line at the bottom.

The conclusion to all this will be obvious.
