yeah and i'm kinda pissed off at you for even bringing the matter up, that someone who has a problem with it wishes to remain anonymous with me while complaining about me. if whoever requested i change it now wishes me to change it they better come out of hiding. because as of this moment, that tagline isn't in violation of the code of conduct in any way.

and if i offended anyone with that tagline, i'd like to know who, so that i can discuss the issue with them. having a third-party go-between in cases such as this is seldom conducive to accomplishing anything. in some cases its necessary. but i'm a reasonable person, and am more than willing to discuss it with whomever. directly. i can certainly see how, without the context of the conversation it was quoted from, it could be taken as inflammatory given what's gone on here. i'd like to think that with the context added, it looks more like the amusement i intended it to be rather than something inflammatory.

I took redbear off the access list...

I've got issues with him...I offered to pay his $10...(only cuz I had the reward $)

he turned it down....why let him leech when not contrubiting???

at first I added people I knew to let them know we are here...(such as camocrew68)....I won't even add one of my hunting partners (chris digger)

what sucks is we don't know who's paid and who hasnt...

btw...I like redbear and respect him alot...

kinda bummed he might not do another.

of all the people we had explicitly called out in the access list when i was working on it yesterday, he was the only one who wasn't in the paid group.

know the threads mikey's been aggregating in have their own distinct acl's, and none of us have host access in there (at least i don't). maybe we have the access list set up incorrectly on those (like other users as read-only instead of no access). who changed them in the first place?

That was me but we would need to add 3M as host to the entire CCRC folder to allow for him to have host access.

we could create a folder under there for the clue synopses, clone the master access list for it, and give him host in just that folder.

yup. that's the problem. "other registered users" has read-only access instead of no access.

and yes. paid is a group. that's how i set up the root acl.

putting the clue threads in a separate folder would mean we wouldn't have to keep track of 12 separate access lists.

Just make a folder and put all the clues in it and make it have a separate access list is all. Then change the access list of each clue to the inherited one. It should be OK then.

hey. i figure we're sitting here like judges. we *have* to be unbiased and weigh everything carefully. when it came to that tagline, i could understand where some could see it as inflammatory without the context of the conversation. so i added it. and when you think about it its rather humorous; how often have we seen a clue posted online, whether it be here, ad pf, the wc, or at the pp and 20 people start arguing about whether its real or not.

i'm surprised yours didn't send something off to him. substitute ares in there and i'd be laughing my ass off (well, i would be if i wern't a cat lover :smile: )

I am truly sad about all this. It wasn't slamming anyone and when I thought it might be inflammatory and said so, ares put it context.

I don't get it.

It's frustrating and depressing.

I think it's just a part of something on a larger scale that THX needs to deal with. If this is his way of dealing with it, so be it. Perhaps he just needs to get it out of his system. I'm not judging him, but his reaction to stuff like Nick getting banned, the COC, and then this has been what some would describe as childish or immature. It's his choice to do what he wants. We can only do so much.

I am tired and sick of all this drama.

It's like there's lines drawn in the sand - but one can't see the lines because the tide comes in and washes 'em away.

This is NOT what this Crew is supposed to be about and it needs to stop.
